I said I'd never read this again...| Reading My Old Novel First Draft

Last year I said I'd never read one of my old novel drafts again... but it's always good to reflect back on your old writing and see how far you've come and what you'd do differently if you were editing or rewriting.
A lot, it turns out. This first chapter, is not so great...
But it was fun to read at least.
