Hello i'm looking to buy nike maxfly spikes. My current spikes are nike zoom rival s 9. I've been using those spikes for more than 2 years now and they become very soft.😢 my size in centimetets is (in s9 ones) 24.5. Do you recoment going size up or down? Thank you
Big mistake! Those shoes are thought to be for sprinters (so all those specialities in which athletes start from the blocks) so think how fast could Mu run in that final with air zoom victory… LMAO
@@Trackreator not a big mistake... it's pretty much up to preference. Maxfly is more aggressive, in fact there are a great deal of elite 800m runners using the maxfly. They're way more stable than the victory so they're more efficient when form gets sloppy at the end of a race. I myself also race in the maxfly.
So many stories about these falling apart. I wore mine 20-30 times and then the sole came off one shoe - three strides into a 4 x 200m relay at World Masters Indoor Championships - I had to run the whole thing with the sole flapping up and down! This is very poor for a $250 shoe! There are also stories of the air pocket bursting. I'm going to try the equivalent from other brands.
Oh no what bad timing ! Thankfully every pair of maxfly's I've had have lasted very well, no doubt some people seem to get more damage than others. The good thing is if it's manufacturer issue (bubble pop or spike plate coming away) nike will refund. If it's just wear and tear obviously not. I'm very keen to try the New Balance SD-X and Pumas but they are virtually impossible to find.

Do the nike maxflys feel unstable when you sprint on the curve? I've heard a lot of people have issues with that. Great video by the way
I've heard that is a problem for some people indoors
Personally at first they felt off but after a couple sessions they feel natural.
what do you mean by know how to use them? is there a specific way to get the most out of them while you run
Really that means you hands to use the best running form you can to get the most out of them

It’s always sad when spikes wear out!
I would suggest going the same size for maxfly as you have the rival s9. That’s what I did for my Nike spikes.

@@itsjustzero9323 me too, they are so responsive! But at the same time they are so stiff that is why I think they are not designed for 800 runners.
