The 84 49ers would have gone undefeated that season. I remember their lone loss to the Steelers was a missed short field goal at the end of the game.

That being said the 89 Niner team was absolutely dominant. Also, in the 90 regular season game the Niners only scored seven points and did not move the ball easily. You can check the game. Some guy named Lawrence Taylor had an injury in the 89 game as well. I heard he was pretty good.
