17:58 Kevin Greene was such a madman, loved him
Auburn legend in college
He was a monster. RIP to a great
I became a Kevin 'Mean' Greene fan that year and followed him all the way to the end. RIP 91
I remember watching that game when Flipper Anderson caught passes for over 300 plus yards. He was on fire. What a memory!
That’s was a Sunday night ESPN game too. Might have been a Thursday Night not sure - but it was a special type night game not MNF. But WHAT A GAME ..I believe the Saints QB was Bobby Hebert
@@-RAMS-FAN yes the whole game is on the nfl throwback channel when the saints got penalized for being to loud

For real you those tide pod uniforms 😂
Frank, they're appealing to a certain type of market, but it's not patriarchal nor masculine....
How about the 1985 yearbook please?

You mean that team that hasn’t won a Super Bowl since 1994

Niners were tough to beat in the 80s.
Watching this video was bringing back so many warm childhood memories of being a Rams fan until I heard Georgia Frontiere's voice 🤬
Ditto ... just made it to the toilet before I Puked!
Me too
Was she that bad? I don’t know all the details but I grew up in Detroit and I think William Clay Ford was the worst owner ever.
@@jeremykrause153 I'm, not a Rams fan (Vikings fan, though I always had a soft spot for the Rams), and I would say yes, she was that bad.
I remember reading how in 1995, Frontiere was actually BLOCKED by the NFL owners from moving to St. Louis because they (correctly) believed the teams struggles on and off the field were due to her incompetence as an owner. It wasn't until she threatened to sue the league that they (reluctantly) let her move, because they didn't have the appetite for another prolonged legal battle like the one with Al Davis in 1982.
So in short, Georgia Frontiere destroyed the Rams, then strong-armed the league into letting her move the team.
@@saryphx wow! Thanks for the information.

The season that made me a life-time Ram fan.
After this season the internal sabotage started with frontiere
There were quite a few major magazines that picked them to dethrone the 49ers heading into that next season, but as we all know, that was not to be.
Yup

@@lucashenderson2775 rams are trash 🗑
I love that! Go Rams! 🐏
Yea and why did you move our team. Hate this woman with a passion.

Dodgers asterisk championship sorry play another 102 games then pop off
It took the Tampa manager in series game 6 to make a dave Robert's like blunder for dave roberts to ever win it plain and simple
RIP Kevin Greene & Rams play by play radio man Bob Starr
Bob Starr was Amazing! One of the best ever!! Still miss him…
@@markgaston4416I was thinking of him when we won in LVI and the rest of all the rams even yes the one in STL
@@goldeneve Bob Starr deserved to have multiple post season sports in his portfolio for the Angels & the Rams. He remains a great loss to this day - and SADLY overlooked.
This was a fun season ...some heart breaking losses though too...
Jim evrett on jim rome show good this is lol

The Los Angeles Rams were ROBBED of being in a Super Bowl in the 80's. The DESERVED to be there.
False niners were just better
That’s laughable rams weren’t even on my niners level 4 super bowl titles team of the 80s
@@chrisrenshaw6291 ur right go packers but the nfl throwback of flipper vs the saints was wild
How were the Los Angeles Rams robbed in 1985? Wait, the Chicago Bears were simply better. The 24 to 0 thrashing in the NFC Championship game more than proved that.
@@chrisrenshaw6291its crazy the rams have had 4 Super Bowl appearances in the 2000s with 2 wins. Had a 1-15 season in between all that. What have the niners done since 1995? Better yet what have the cowboys done since the 90s
13:56.....that's actually wrong. Don Majikowski also threw for over 4,000 yards in 1989. In fact, he had more passing yards than Everett.
Yooo my Cousin Willie Flipper Anderson. Still has the record. Paulsboro Legend.
6:12 - That whole sequence would become hauntingly familiar for San Francisco the following season in the NFC championship versus the Giants.
This season will, sadly, be remembered mostly for the phantom sack in the NFC Championship game. That in turn led to the famous "Don't call me Chris" interview with Everett and Jim Rome.
I wonder if people back in the late 80s thought that there’d be Japanese owners of pro sports teams. So many movies in the late 80s thought the Japanese were taking over everything.
I don’t understand why Mitchell and Ness don’t make Kevin Greene Rams jersey
The shoulder pads, especially running backs pads, back in the days were huge compared to todays game.
Had Georgia kept that team together and added a few pieces they would have been fine. Instead she stripped that team until they sucked so bad that they moved
So why did they stop going to Japap
Cleveland Rams St.Louis Rams Los Angeles Rams
@Rich Krupp so you're saying Rams should have never left Los Angeles?
War eagle 🦅 les snead from Auburn university
This was the last winning season as a Rams fan with my family united; I was 4 years old. After they left LA, we all went different ways and choose a new team(s).
I remember that year. Going back east 3 straight times and winning.
You know it got me thinking if we did beat the niners in 89 do you think we loose to Denver ?
I remember that!
GO HAWKS
Yes gO HaWKs out of the rams comment section and minding their own business

Danger Russ is going to go down to the new turf like Montana did.
Got your SuperBowl plans all ready Hawks ?
They was in the AFC West at the time
Always had the 1983, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1989, and 1990 season highlights. But I have never seen the 1985 season highlights. Does anyone have it or seen it posted anywhere? I would have loved to see the 40th Anniversary of the Rams highlights. This is was a great seasons and I still say this. If the John Shaw would have signed and paid Eric Dickerson what he deserved. The Los Angeles Rams would have won a couple of Superbowls that the 49ers end up winning. The team had a young arm with Everett, Ellard, Anderson, Ron Brown, Cox, Holohan, Johnson with Dickerson instead of Bell. We would have been an pretty damn good team. The Defense was solid with Kevin Green, Jerry Gray and company. Oh John Shaw screwed up!
Are you able to post the 1990 highlights by chance?
Ron Brown a track athlete fumbled a lot - remember on MNF vs SF lol
