  • The Armstrong ML55 Foil Board was a real pleasure to sail with. The knee start is much easier than anticipated and the board feels very light and agile in the water. Armie Armstrong also giving us some tips on how to set it up at first.

    Hello,
    Your videos are amazing!
I’m 82 kg weekend warrior and currently on an 88 liter wing sup board. Debating between a 65 and 75 liter midlength board to downsize to. What size would you recommend? Thank you 😊 🤙

Thanks for watching... did you see my video on knee starts? This might help too...I think if you go only negative 7 liters buoyancy you will find your self soon wanting to go smaller. It might be a bit more challenging but I thnk you could do a 65L board. You will just need a bit more wind or a bigger sail to get up.

@@StandUpMagazin great point! On the low wind days, I mainly kitefoil. I’m going to watch your knee start video as well! Thank you very much for the advice!

Hi, great review. I usually ride 60l board 5'0 - 23" starting 10 kt (with 70kg) but would like to size down a bit. Do you already have some general feeling on how many litres can be shaked off (if possible) with these new DW like shapes comparing to what people are used to ride already?

Thanks for watching. 10kt sounds a bit light I guess you have to have a big wing? Maybe 6m. I am sure you can shave of some liter no problem. Just a question of how big you wing will be and how strong the wind is.

What do you think about volume for 80 kilo as a second board ? My main now is KT dragonfly 95l . For the winds above 15 knots. Intermediate. Thank you 🙏 I have ocean rodeo aa 6 and 4m. Foils Ha1250 , DW900 , ma v2 700 all from north

Thanks for watching. It’s not always easy to find the right formula but I think they also have a 65L I would probably go with that. So when you start from the knees you don’t sink tooo much.

    I’m 75kg weight,
Which do you recommend ml65L or ml55L?
    Now, I use 70L wingFG and HA680,MA800.

Thanks for watching. I weigh the same and also 70L FG. I had good time with ML55 Did watch my knee starts? I think you can do the same. Just depending on wind at your spot 🤙🏽
