    I love the desaturation edit during the demonstrations of unwanted movements. Sometimes when coaches demonstrate good and bad movements it gets confusing to distinguish between the two. Those edits make it very clear. 👍🏽

    So how do you do the drill? Put three balls side by side and actually try to hit the center one?

    Hello Russel,
    I think that it is the best lesson of my live.
    I play probably 12-18 on the golf course.
    My aim is to become a 9 handicap golf player.
    Se you soon at Pleneuf Val André.
    Good day,

    Was taught this in 1969. Firm strikes, draws, high flight with this technique.

    My best guess to answer the question is most people hit at the ball. This would encourage a downward strike and follow through.

    What happened when you hit those three balls together? How does that help to hit one ball?

    • @user-gi5lc6gg5o

      I don't think the idea is to literally hit those balls, rather to swing as if you were to. It provides a visual to accompany the feeling of swinging for that 2nd/3rd ball.

      I agree. Are we suppose to hit all 3 balls with 1 swing?

      You swing at one ball but visualize and aim for the second ball

    • @ozricbish
      @ozricbish ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The 3rd ball is your divot length. Strike at second ball to keep your hands forward and the club head down, carry it thru to the 3rd ball to help you keep the club head down throughout your turn

    After playing golf for nearly 50 years,I realized that 90% of golf is half mental , to borrow a phrase from the great American ball striker, Yogi Berra!!!!😂

    Why is the ball position so far forward? Rahm is clearly playing the ball back in his stance.

    I watched this video till the end, waiting that long you hit this 3 balls with one strike.... But you're didn't. You also didn't find a way to declare or show me how i can become a great ball striker, how i become able to hit always first ball and then turf. That's much more complicated than you show us here, the body and the thoughts must be ready therefore andato reaching those a student needs help to do this step. I know what I m talking about because I'm a talented man in golf.becoming a single hcp within a few months and champion within less than 2 years hitting 14/15 greens in regulation. But now I'm old and the body doesn't want to do what i wish he should. I think there are much better tips to invite the impact. Maybe with a piece of wood, paper or a alignment stick behind the ball while placing them more in the front of the stands. Hand in hand with a good contact the student has to learn that the swing goes to the aim THROUGH tge ball, he had to learn that all his thought's a out the backswing, the moving of the weight to the right side has only one aim and that's getting power fir swinging through the ball. You see a lot of players with a very technical backswing, but then struggling swinging the club through the ball, having a good impact. And that happens because all is blocked, because the body is not ready for opening to the aim. But that's the secret for good ball striking! And John Rahm id the best example therefore! Ad a young player and student he struggles with history wrists an so he started his "short" backswing with the typical wrist position. All his thoughts are go "through the ball" and that's what gets does! That's the secret, nothing else.

    • @michaelscore6763

      @@tomwilliam8607 you are right, i forgot it, I'm clean in my head and that's a problem if you get comments like yours..... I think you have no idea about a golf swing. I do, i learned golf within a few months and scored course record rounds. I know how to hit a ball clean and crisp, but i also know the problems why it's nit able to do for many players. They all think about the "correct" backswing, the Hand wrists and other elements, but they forget swinging the clubhouse to the aim through the ball. Jon Rahm told 8n a interview that this all was to complicated for him and so he developed his own way with the backswing and the wrists. John Rahm is the best example for my comment, his sein is completely oriented in swing with all energie THROUGH the ball and not after a complicated backswing against a ball. This videos are Theorie and nonsense so far. Anyway, i think you are the expert.....

      @@tomwilliam8607 take a professional. They take a hand towel or something similar, put them behind the ball and try to hit the ball without putting them away. That's the drill done by tour pros like Harrington.. But if you make mistakes in the backswing, than you never have the ability to bring your hands in front of the ball, you always will hit the hand towel.....

    The feel of keeping my trail forearm facing the sky on the downswing from the last video seemed to instantly move my hands ahead of the ball

    • @MarkG_603
      @MarkG_603 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's something I'm working on and it is a huge deal. It simplifies the folding and unfolding of the trail elbow, all it does is extend 2 feet beyond impact. Its repeatable and the results show this. Good luck!

      @user-gi5lc6gg5o ปีที่แล้ว

      Biggest difference for me was to find a local range that allowed me to hit off of real grass (sometimes hard to find) as mats provide a LOT of bounce and forgiveness that the ground (generally) does not.

    • @mbda1
      @mbda1 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are probably hitting behind the ball and the mat hides that as a good hit. on the grass, no forgiveness.
