If I remember correctly, a couple years ago in some interview, he said that he has his own difficulty to reach higher notes cleanly. He also hit that high notes when he covered Broken Vow but not as clean and as long as this. Guess he really learn and taking care his vocal cord to finally get that high. I read there were a lot comments that concerning about his vocal cord because sometimes he sound like he forced that tone and restrain his vocal cord. But seriously, his voice doesn't change much, almost similar to his debut in 2012. But he became a better singer for sure.
