Hisn Kayfa is Underrated | EU4 1.37 Hisn Kayfa | Saladin's Legacy/The Eagle Flies Alone Run (1/2)

In this Europa Universalis IV [EU4] video, I play as Hisn Kayfa in an attempt to form the Ayyubid empire and restore Saladin's Legacy for the achievement. We also are going for the Eagle Flies Alone by having a 500k force limit. I've tried the start three times and have come to the conclusion that the start depicted in this video is repeatable, and can be used as a guide in most instances. I'd liken this video to a Hisn Kayfa guide. We abuse a promise land with the ottomans that may be a bug, but was repeatable in my tests, to invade Qara Qoyunlu. After establishing a power base in Mesopotamia, we are able to invade Persia, then Anatolia, and eventually Egypt. This is a part 1 of 2 that will finish the achievements in the next video.

Sunni starts in this region are made so much easier by the quirk where Ottomans desire all levantine land even if they can't core it, so you can break land promises for free.

@icepyre what I did was attack AQ while Ottomans were at war with me with Qara. AQ was allied with both Otto and Ajam, but both of them was in a war with me.

While you were in your first war against QQ, you should have declared on AQ. Because the Ottomans were on your side in the war against QQ they'd not be able to defend AQ. That way you'd not have to wait for the favours to break that alliance like you planning to.

Only thing stopping me was the economy of it all. I'd have to merc up to match AQ and suffer through war exhaustion from QQ call for peace. Also you get more claims after fighting QQ 😀

Idk if they patched it but you can fire the two advisors (55:41) and still get the mana points, then just rehire them after to keep them.
