yeh compliant killers has no effect on pariah party, the only role added to the compliance faction would be the sk (still recruited of course), meaning they do get a dead chat, but no one is actually in that chat.
Cursed Soul seems like Executioner with extra steps if it's a solo CS. Swap souls, figure out who has it, get 'em lynched, win. Seems really friendly to coven since it's like, get a coven role, let coven swap with someone else, work together to get rid of the new cursed soul.
You know, Im excited to see the new acolytes for every role, and overall of this update (even though I dont play) One question I have though is related to the "Mass Hysteria", which has every enemy investigative role get wrong results, but one that is left out is the Baker. My pitch of this change is that they get some random role, and they dont get the roles of anyone visiting the player with bread. Edit: I now have more roles, but I have some ideas: Werewolf (same as tracker), Arsonist (they dont see the players who visited them as doused and they dont know that). The only ones that would not be affected are those that want to see town lose, such as egotist and NPs.
So deputy is kinda worst veteran since they don't have basic defense. 9:17 I will repeat it. Crusader become problem since they replaced mafia with apoc(full immune team), removing half of evils you could kill.
I understand that you probably don't want a 5th apocalypse but there is another horseman name, Conquest, first horseman of the apocalypse that you could use instead of reusing Death. You could also make it so plaugebearer and warlock are mutually exclusive, as a reference to the fact that people often forget about Conquest and substitute in Pestilence. It doesn't make perfect sense according to the abilities but I feel that an opportunity is being lost
The now main thing for #crusader is I've been getting blocked multiple times as a TI, as they go in conf targets, now forcing LO's and Psy's to roam on randos, cutting their power in a bad chunk.
i just want to say, Tuba, thank you for the awesome reworks to some of these roles as they so desperately needed them! i look forward to seeing how the gameplay for them will shift and i certainly hope to see some of these changes ported over to the vanilla game

They already have the code for blocking people from visiting I’d imagine, and dep is just crus with extra steps.
This is good but 1 little thing. If illu uses that ability, and psychic gets random results, then that basically outs illu being in game because the target they visited didn't appear in the vision
I have a few questions about executioner rework: Does the trial denial ability block the abilities of Prosecutor and Marshal? How do people will deal with Death if yesterday Executioner has gotten their target successfully hung? Death's only reliable weakness is getting hung at a trial. Same question applies to other horsemen, but in weaker scale.
I think one of the only complaint that I have that you can't disabled and/or edit parts of them mod example depending on the lobby they may just be a group of friends and they find it funnier if the normal tos2 version of executioner existed instead of the new modded one but they don't want to just not play the mod for one role or they may say that they like how trickster works but they prefer if they had infinite mirror instead of three -modded among us player
I like the marshal rework that gives evils more of a chance, I had a pandora TT game where I was Judge and marsh used they're ability but I had enough time to reveal and hijack their tribunal and vote townies out (Including them ofc).
Compliant killers (nks) with night chat would be too strong, unless the nks need to hit themselves at night to "find" each other (getting notification + reveal to both parties + night chat?)
I thought of different sub-alignments for compliant killers, arso, ww, vamp, jackal, judge, and cs are all neutral power, shroud, sk, exe, doom, pirate, are all neutral killing, and auditor and jest are neutral utility. I also made reworks for all the roles to make it seem more like a team like coven. exe no longer leaves town, instead, you get a new target if yours gets lynched/dies, you still get to torment, this is to prevent 1f1s as it's not beneficial for an evil team. Jester gets 1 haunt, and all other nights after being lynched, you can heal and illusion your teammates. Doom rework is the same as exe rework, and pirate too.
I actually had the idea of visiting bookholder's target as a similar condition for a Framer rework (in the Mafia rework thread), where I used the Mafioso's target. Also, to point out, Cursed Souls aren't really a faction anymore. They don't really concretely have to oppose Town, Coven, Apocalypse, Pandora, Serial Killer, Shroud, Werewolf, Arsonist, Compliance, Vampires, or Jackal. Neither are they able to draw, which is common to all factions.
It's a good game but it takes too long and quite hard to get into, and theres the thing where not everyone might be comfortable VCing. people are trying to get me into streaming it but I doubt it will happen
is there a reason why CL can't morph CK at all? Allowing it to morph a CK once provided one isn't already in game doesn't sound like a bad idea, but maybe that would still make the game unbalanced?
I’m glad for the Deputy rework. Still a shame though, the initial concept was such a gangsta role and it’s a shame _PROSECUTOR_ had to take its niche. Edit: I’m not quite sure about the Dep rework, and Crusader rework sounds great, but it seems people are complaining about other Cruses going on confirmed targets and not being able to actually confirm them. Also i’m not sure about Warlock either.
Loving the new modifiers and very interesting reworks. I was wondering how the Apoc faction would get new roles because of the “4 Horseman” stuff going on, Warlock being introduced was shocking and I think the right way to introduce more roles to the faction. Apoc is gonna remind me of Coven in TOS1. Not a big fan of the Deputy change, just seems like a Trickster but nerfed, but we’ll see. Exe is suprising, and I’m pretty happy with the change , it makes me playing Silent SK more accessible. CL, is interesting, does CL still get the book first? Crusader change is pretty nice, this opens a little bit more room and nerfs TT crusader. CS, I have no say, haven’t played yet.
These are creative reworks, and I know I’m late, but I feel like a good way to fix Crusader would just be to make it attack a random visitor if your target is attacked, right now I feel like your fix makes it overlap with socialite a bit too much.

I definitely think most of the changes are interesting in a positive way. The one I'm really struggling with is Deputy. I get that your aim is to slow down the game, but without it being constantly more-than-5-day games where the dep lives past day 5, I don't think the dep is going to ever have a good time. First, you have to figure out someone sus that you want to shoot, then you have to figure out who they're likely to go on and pray. But if they're non-visiting (like Jester/Rit) you're out of luck and can never shoot them even though they're evil, and you might camp outside a killer's target but not have marked a killer, just an evil who goes to unexpected houses (like PM/Baker). I dunno, I'll have to experience more of it, but on paper it seems reeeaaally weak to me and I'd rather just play as vigi or vet, even trick who can at least read into who might be attacked to use their ability properly.
Is it possible for an Unknown Obstacle to be a modifier instead of rework? The idea looks fun but can quickly become frustrating (for me at least). That's be really cool to have a choice whether to play with UO or not and just get all these old notifications
CL rework goes hard. Nerfed the deputy pretty hard tho, town can't mutiple day kill now, dep claims can't prove at day & will basically be lynched like vigilante since Coven will fake claim dep instead of vigi 🤣
I forgot to clarify in the video. Epic Games support hasn't made it yet because the process is far more complicated than I thought and I have to coordinate with the BMG team for it . And S3 is the top priority rn on the BMG side of things so it might unfortunately delay. However I've put in the codebase except the authentication , meaning it will just require a server reset than a whole patch for it when it's time for it.
Adding a one-time basic defense for Bodyguard could be an option? It would be just nice to give Bodyguard a defending option to protect someone, and not just die. But at the risk of Powerful Attack going through anyway. I personally liked Survivor in ToS1, but I can understand why many people also didn't like it as the 'kingmaker' type of deal, so Survivor needing to survive let's say 3-4 turns could be a goal before they move on like Neutral Evil roles, with just 1-2 vests or something? Guardian Angel could be interesting to see return as well, but it would need some changes, as I particularly never liked them becoming Jester after their target dies, and them auto-losing, once one dies, would be harsh. Anyway this update does look fun, so good job on it ;).

The role is designed around mislynching. Sure Doomsayer works for anti-everyone concept but Exe was designed around mislynching. Getting that town mislynched. Current exe is really bad and even if this rework is not the right answer, I believe exe needs a rework still. I can go on and give you examples why current Exe does not work. - You are Sheriff who found a member of the Coven suspicious, you successfully get them upped and lynched and you that you were correct. Suddenly you die to torment because an Exe was randomly on them. - You are a Coven member and your teammate has been outed, in order to not look suspicious you make sure to guilty them when they are being lynched. Suddenly you die to torment because an Exe was randomly on them. - You are a Shroud who tricks an Investigator into finding the player you enshrouded with blood. You have successfully tricked the town with your ability and got this player lynched. Suddenly you die to torment because an Exe was randomly on them. You can see how exe is so unfun to play against and how Torment ruins the game. That's why something had to be done at least is being tried out here.

Sigh, what is it with Chilled viewers not understanding that most people don't play the game like they do. The changes are fine, they're very good for a text-based lobby that wants to play seriously. Chilled's lobby plays through voice chat and goof off a lot more. Obviously these changes wouldn't appeal to them.
I was watching the stream myself. These changes are made for a 15 player game their lobby is usually 12 players . Only thing I will agree is the dep rework , old dep was more fun to play yeah and the new rework might be quite sluggish but that's the point of modded, we test changes to see if they will stick out we're actively listening to feedback.

You can see how exe is so unfun to play against and how Torment ruins the game. That's why something had to be done at least is being tried out here.

After seeing chilledchaos vod these changes suck, go and read his chat people weren't happy.
Sigh, what is it with Chilled viewers not understanding that most people don't play the game like they do. The changes are fine, they're very good for a text-based lobby that wants to play seriously. Chilled's lobby plays through voice chat and goof off a lot more. Obviously these changes wouldn't appeal to them.
I was watching the stream myself. These changes are made for a 15 player game their lobby is usually 12 players . Only thing I will agree is the dep rework , old dep was more fun to play yeah and the new rework might be quite sluggish but that's the point of modded, we test changes to see if they will stick out we're actively listening to feedback.
