That turned out great! I've watched a lot of bathroom remodels and yours is the most detailed I've seen. A lot of people show the products they use but do very little to explain how or why they use them. You did a perfect job of doing both. The pacing and edit of the video was great too.
LOVED the Cypress .. Would NEVER have chosen that tile to install but it looks good. Textured tile is a nightmare to grout. Sealer never seems to actually prevent the grout over run sticking and clean up is a chore.
I really like how the vantity top turned out. If you guys arent going to do anything with the circle you cut out im a woodturner and i could make it into a platter for you guys
Awesome work buddy. I was looking into applying the 511 sealer on my tiles as well. From what it looks like, some of my tiles are slowly showing a wear on the existing sealant. For example, if I use painters tape on one of the tiles, the shininess of the tile gets removed when the tape is peeled. I am not sure why that’s happens. Anyways, is there a cleaner that’ll remove the existing dirt and whatever sealant it has so that I can apply the 511? Thank you for the response.
Sure is. They have a heavy duty cleaner made for natural stone: www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/miracle-sealants/clean-maintain/heavy-duty-cleaner-acid-substitute I also wrote an entire blog post on sealing and cleaning tile: rogueengineer.com/why-when-and-how-you-should-seal-tile/
where could i get the art pieces that are in those frames on the wall in the bathroom?

@1:45 you should always put a full, complete scratch coat to the surface you are applying thin set to, especially a painted wall. The tiles you installed aren't getting a complete bond to the wall which could cause issues later down the road. Never half ass on your mud if you want long lasting work.
Interesting. I have seen a lot of professionals tile walls without a scratch coat. I know it's required in certain instances like when using stone veneer but we used a high quality mortar and got near 100% coverage on the back of the tiles so I doubt we will have an issue. Thanks for your thoughts though and I will definitely investigate.
12:27 to your women helper- put some shoes on! No one should be doing any construction /home improvement work with out proper PPE; Especially in a workshop that has material all over the floor.

Thanks Clyde! The texture definitely made this a little more time consuming. The sealer will prevent the grout from staining the tile.
Looks great guys. 👍👍
