Nice driver '59...kinda think the salesman should know that cars don't have belt driven heaters... Also that Town and Country radio won't turn on like that. Decent vid, nice car man!
The radio does not turn on with the volume control. You turn it on by depressing any of the preset buttons. You turn it off by pressing the OFF button on the far left. Also, it is a tube set, and needs to warm up. As someone else noted, we didn't see the roof work! Not a bad survivor car though.
So, does the top work? How about overdrive? Which engine does it have? 292, 332, 352? Oh, the heater fan does NOT have a belt. Sounds like the bearings are dry and loose. This has a tube radio, it takles time to warm up, when you turn it on. You do need to turn it on if you want to hear it. When you turn the radio on, the first thing you should hear is the vibrator humming. How much were you paid to evaluate this car? You should do research about a car before you evaluate it. Maybe learn how to turn the radio on?
...One beautiful car!...love the interior, too, but that shifter looks like one from a 1940's car instead of a 1959...the one in my '57 Chevy(wish I had it back!) looked/worked much like the column-shift cars from the '60's and '70's...was this just a Ford thing?....
Not necessarily a "Ford thing", but just a standard "3 on a tree" column-shift, 3-speed manual transmission. In later years, Ford did change the manual shifter linkage to encapsulate it into the steering column housing for a cleaner look on the 3-speed manuals.
Nice car, of course, but not worth your time to watch 11 minutes of mostly a dashboard close-up. big disappointment. As a kid, our neighbor had a strikingly beautiful '59 pure white Galaxy 500 hardtop. I drooled over that car for years!
My dad had one in coral and white. I love that it was longer than a delivery van we had parked next to 🤣

I want this car so badly!

That vehicle is sold. There are many other videos of this car on my channel. All your questions can be answered in my other vids
What about the most important thing that needs to work.. The roof!
There are posted videos of that as well

My Absolute Dream car. but either as a Sedan or Coupe. Not a fan of the Cabriolets.
You don't know how to read the clock??? You're kidding with us right? Love the car though!
A manual transmission on a skyliner? You need some gasoline. Gasket on the rear deck lid is loose
You are correct on three statements. The new owner in Europe is enjoying the car!
