As someone who was born in South Bend, Indiana, I watched then Mayor now Secretary Pete transform our crumbling city into an area we can be proud of. We have a revived downtown business district. We have office spaces being renovated and remodeled yearly. We have an improved traffic flow and grid system. No mayor before him cared to fix any of this. It’s the greatest feeling to see someone who cares so deeply be able to do work like this at the national level. Secretary Pete would have my vote any time he needed it.i
