I love the butter churning dance. I made butter by shaking heavy cream in a bottle. I used the buttermilk to cook curry so that nothing was wasted. Your bread came out perfectly. It's amazing how you controlled the temperature at a campfire.
You gave me idea. What if guy secured jar to a small tree or branch and just shook the branch? It flexing on self would add a free shake in pry half the time.
@@johnbrown2163 the idea makes some sense, but if the jar was secured to a small tree, shaking the tree would mean you would be shaking the jar less intensely. If it were with a branch with a lot of spring, then it would probably snap if you tried to shake it too intensely
I have never seen anyone make fresh, homemade butter... especially in a jar! The butter and bread both looked amazing! Great film shots & video! 😊 Thanks,
You remind me of when my sons and I would pass the jar of cream around to take turns shaking it. It took a while but certainly was worth it when you start hearing the clump clump sound like magic. Love the bread and butter. I need a Dutch oven! Thanks for your video! They are never out of date!
Hi again Kent. I'm from the country in Western N.Y. Love your videos. When I was younger I loved hunting and camping. Your videos take me back down memory lane. Thank you.
You really are one of the best, and I watch mostly bushcraft, probably 80%. Butter made in the woods for bread you made in the woods??? OUTSTANDING!! 🤤
Oh my goodness...I was right there with you listening to the birds, smelling the woods and fresh baked bread. I couldn’t look as good as you with the dance though, that’s all you.
In case others don't know, a double proofing improves that beautiful yeasty flavor of a good bread - but as you said is not absolutely necessary. I've know some bakers to proof three times! Love watching you make bread at the campfire. Always turns out so beautifully! Thanks for sharing Andy! Cheers!
Just finish my dinner and then the notification pop-up that says Andy is going to cook some food. I'm going to get hungry again after watching this video 😀 🇵🇭
YUM! Nothing like home made bread and butter. I remember my mother saving the cream from our jersey cow and making butter and salting it just right. Your bread really came out good and even for an open fire!
Omg ! That was amazing ! I Love Bread And Butter! One of my many favorites. You sure are an awesome cook. Thank You for sharing your time and videos with us! 👍🏻♥️
Have made butter before. Was with a ladyfriend and told her I could make butter if had to, she didnt believe. So I did about the same, got a carton of heavy whipping cream, a jar, shook it for a about 7 to 10 minutes, then I also used a ordinary electric mixer and a bowl with another carton of cream....this blast her mind. when I was younger I worked as a cook at a restaurant , everything we made was directly from scratch, learned all the basic stocks, sauces, food items, then pursued a career as a fine dining chef and worked in five star restaurants for years and years. Am a avid camper now and have done some serious camp cooking with my dutch oven. This gal was completely mind blown, ive cooked her foods and dishes that are top gourmet
Thank you from Minnesota USA. You are so entertaining and talented. Your cooking and baking is so versatile. Yet you make it look like we could all possibly make it as well. Your filming is so beautiful. I don’t want to miss a second of it. Keep up the hard work Andy. It is so much appreciated. I’ve been binge watching earlier episodes. I have the same Overmont Dutch Oven. And many other pieces of gear you have, I have as well. So fun to see it used so well. That “butter dance” was the best!! Love your sense of humor!!😂❤🪵
He has just re-invented "I can't believe it really is BUTTER dance" lmao and his saw as a bread knife that was hilarious 🤣 I think I watched this video 4 times lol
When I was a young girl, I would help my grandmother churn butter with an old churn. I still had that old churn but gave it to my niece since I couldn’t have children & they own a cattle company so I thought it was appropriate.
Finding these videos very calming & reflective (esp in current mad times (! ) )- & the flint-sparking 'discovery of fire' always gets me 'goosebumpin' - takes me back - ooh... yes, - Back about 100,000 years... Well done - keep 'em comin' :)
First class Andy, much appreciated, springtime in an English woodland complete with cuckoo what more could we wish for in these sorry times? I know! A man doing a butter churning jig followed by a masterclass on how to make the perfect bread on an open fire. Brilliant Andy, just Brilliant 👍 Regard from Clive in deepest Dorset.
I love the way you explain what you are cooking and you even go as far as explaining your recipes. Great job. You also put some humor in it. Thank you. Really enjoy your videos. Tony from AB adventures had recommended his viewers to watch you and I’m glad I did. I love the way both of you talk. Tony is more the serious adventurist with beautiful places in New Zealand and you are the light hearted adventurist. You both have great sense of humor. Where are you from?
That loaf came out perfect! It's just begging to be used to make a bacon sandwich! That is a little piece of paradise you've got there at your camp site. There is a small wooded area at the very back of our property. It is very overgrown. My next project after getting all the fence lines cleaned up is to see if i can clear out some of the overgrowh to maybe built a small camp site back there. That are is only about 1/4 to 1/2 an acre in size but hopefully i'll find a good combination of trees and terrain in there once I get clearing.
Who among us does not like simple life, simple and comfortable housing, delicious food prepared in the primitive way and living in the bosom of nature, the mother who always gives us for free😍💞👍🙌
This is the first video of yours that I came across and I am obsessed! This was so great to watch all the way through! Lovely personality you have there! Can't wait to see more of your videos. :)
Now I need to go eat some bread & butter. Won't be as good as yours...From the butter, the knife and the bread; everything you made looked good. And I love your humor. Awesome video.
I love making homemade butter with Heavy Cream! I have used the jar technique many times but this year for Thanks Giving I opted for the food processor to save time and my breath lol! Great Video, I will give this bread recipe a go!
Well done! The only thing I would recommend is to score the bread so that it rises better in the DO. I would sprinkle some corn grits over top and the bottom, making the crust crunchier....that's my preference. Also, I was wondering why you poured out the buttermilk. Could have used that for the bread. Just my thoughts :-)
Hi Andy as well the bacon pastries you made the other day im going to have a go at this one to. but will not be cooking it in a Dutch oven just a standard one lol it was making my mouth water . Ralph
Hi All, I have re-uploaded this video as the colour needed a lot of correction and i was just not happy with the original.
thats like quality control aye haha
Where are you? I am on my way to share that bread! Looks amazing!
Vdo looks crisp!!
Ahhhh, was wondering what happened to winter.....😁
I was JUST about to comment, like.. I think I've seen this epic bread video before. Still an amazing video, really lovely how it turned out!
I love the butter churning dance. I made butter by shaking heavy cream in a bottle. I used the buttermilk to cook curry so that nothing was wasted. Your bread came out perfectly. It's amazing how you controlled the temperature at a campfire.
Andy, I've never laughed so much at one of your videos. The "Butter Dance" is a classic. 😁👍Here's your prize for the butter knife. 🏆🥇💰
The Butter Dance. Quality.
Andy wins an award for that Butter Dance 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
mans literally just flexed on all of our dancing skills with a jar of milk
Really? I can’t believe he’s not better! 🤣

@@user-ci8ey8yi5f I'm talking whipping a sapling while jar is on the end. It just made me think is all.
Too good!

The “Indian Butter Dance” had me in tears!
Oh no! You poured the buttermilk away! 😱 scones, bread, pancakes..lovely to drink.
I have bi polar disorder and your videos really help me ☺️
Same, something about nature just evens out my highs and lows. Only time I don't feel either!
Beautiful Loaf of bread Andy. that;s bakery quality.
That shake dance in the woods almost had me on the floor lol. Love it.
Another nice little film here. I love the way that you employ depth of field so effectively in your compositions. Thanks for the entertainment!

Yup. Everyone likes bread and butter. Reminds them of simple childhood pleasures.
Not I, never cared for butter at all. Only use it to cook if I have to
That, by far, is the best bread i have ever watched cook in a bushcraft video. Well done sir!!

Hello Debbie, from another Minnesotan!
Loved the butter dance, Andy. Very cute. 😂😊
He has just re-invented "I can't believe it really is BUTTER dance" lmao and his saw as a bread knife that was hilarious 🤣 I think I watched this video 4 times lol
Bust those dance moves🤣. Can't beat freshly baked bread, even more satisfying cooked outside in the dutch oven.
When I was a young girl, I would help my grandmother churn butter with an old churn. I still had that old churn but gave it to my niece since I couldn’t have children & they own a cattle company so I thought it was appropriate.
Great video Andy. Little tip, if you put a marble or a small clean stone in the jar it helps with the churning. Cheers!

Bruh who would dislike this. Especially only two hours after upload
It was reuploaded so probably someone disliked it cuz they already saw this video before! Idk
Perhaps because he claims the channel to be Bushcraft yet all we appear to see is unhealthy cookery videos
We know you can cook great food and we know you can build an awesome shelter and a perfect fire but now we know you can..... DANCE🕺😆 Great video 👍♥️
Great job Andrew love the videos learn a lot from your tricks of trade my brother cheers
