- Some more Battlefield 1 gameplay today, I decide to use the gun that (nearly) everyone seems to hate... the RSC SMG. It's got a few big flaws, having lots of kick and long reload times, but despite this, the weapon packs a nasty punch giving it a decent TTK (especially within close range)

Last I played BF1 I remember loving the gun.
I didn't really enjoy it but is did the job. It was better than using a shovel. Not the worst but not the best. *edit* I guess it was buffed so I guess it kind of make my opinion mute.

I honestly really like it, i would use it with the obrez as my sidearm to go full skill cannon.
the battlefield community has gotten to the point where were acting like bf5 doesnt exist and that bf1 is still brand new, and personally i love it

Honestly I enjoy using it unique and niche weapons even if they’re challenging to use. Wouldn’t have as much fun of I only used the hellreigal which is too easy to use.

My most used gun in BF1. Teaches you to be accurate with your shots and not just shooting everywhere and expecting a kill.
To be fair yes, but there’s something fun about using a gun that is generally perceived by the community as “bad” and doing extremely good with it.
Plus, I like having a bit of a challenge. I never liked using guns like the Hellriegel, Automatico, & the SMG 0/18 because they are really easy to use and get streaks of kills with.

@@FLRNFLUFF i can comment on that , i use the 1903 experimental & reaching almost 20 service stars. Combine it with k bullets , decoy & anti spot & your reaching hardcore guy mode.

Its a gun for 1v1 gunfights but thats about it,now if there was an extended variant with atleast a 20 mag i would use it

I would use an extended mag. It could be op tho in the hands of the greats. But definitely not annoying and enraging like the MMGs in BFV
Lol 20 mag would be op and a noob weapon like the automatico more like 12 round mag would be ok
Honestly, the gun isn’t bad if you know how to use it properly, and it can literally SHRED with experienced players
I wish this was a tanker weapon instead! I think it says in the description of the weapon that it was used by tank crews. I think this gun would have been the number 1 choice for most tankers but since it is an smg for assault where there are so many other guns to use it's not that surprising that you rarely see it in combat. Personally I think it is pretty good, but I am more the optical type for this specific weapon, the other opticals for this class sucks though; ribeyrolles optical, hellriegel defensive, smg 08/18 optical...
lol this is timewise my most used gun, despite I have 8x more kills with the mp18. A true skill cannon
This gun is awesome sauce, i have 1,641 kills with it. It’s one of the best 1v1 guns and definitely teaches how to be a defensive player

This is my go to smg. In general I like challenging weapons. They make you a sharper player because it makes you choose what shots to take ones not to. Huge fan of the autoloading model 8 and selbstlader 1906.
Nice to see you doing BF1 content! It can be a fun gun in the right situations. Don't see a lot of ppl using it, or if they do don't have alot of service stars. Much more respect for ppl who kill me with it than the low life 100 service star SMG 08/18 or Heilregel users!
u might call it skill canon, but "Skill canon" should me more rewarding ...
It is rewarding as you can kill people pretty easily in short-medium range.

Notice for regular players if you try to use this gun:
Face 1 enemy in 5 seconds you probably can kill him.
Face 2 enemy in 5 seconds you probably will die.
Face 3 enemy in 5 seconds you definitely will die.
People says it’s the worst cause of its ammo capacity which only holds 9 rounds and it’s an SMG...looks badass to me and you make it look easy to use too. Good job 👍
I bought Bf1 2 weeks ago and it is tons of fun! RSC SMG was my favourite gun for a moment when I unlocked it!

I get tired of the same weapons so I've gone to the Trench Carbine and it's actually not bad. Got 15 stars with it already.
It's a skill cannon to be sure. I got service stars with both variants. When I want to have fun, the optical variant is my go to assault weapon.

One of my most used SMGs, I think it’s pretty fun to use. Very niche play style yeah, but I just like the feeling of dumping rifle caliber into someone with that chunky fire rate.
I love the kill sounds on BF1 it sounds like putting money in the bank.

I think that gun would be quite good if the reload time was shorter.. but it's not too bad the way it is now
Yeah, the way it handles ammo is the guns biggest flaw
@@KriticalKris I used it a bit now... the recoil is quite a problem at longer ranged too... but it's a smg so not meant for longer ranges anyway... still fun to use in the right situations
Never used this gun. Seems like it a little jumpy and my aiming is not the best.
I use this a lot, the only let down for me is its reload speed, this gun can dominate mid range engagements but you're lucky to take down 2 people, CQB is whole nother level with its insane stopping power.

This is my favorite assault weapon in BF1, well dynamite is a close second, 2500 kills and counting. It melts people up close. Love it!

Damage is pretty high its a good gun for 1v1 but its damage to clip size and reload rate is just soooo annoying when you run into a group or more than 1 player

Bro, have you been on the receiving end of the SMG 08? I can tell everyone who has faced them multipal times have an varying degree hate for them since is shreds like the automatico with the magazine of an LMG. I teabag any SMG user on principle since I hate that gun. Hats off to those that killed me fair and square, I will concede to that but not the damn SMG. It simply doesn't give a chance to fight back.
Also, Kris, you were terrified of that sentry? I doubt he would need the Terminator theme but I do like that theme a bit too much with how awesome it sounds.

I think getting killed by snipers 200meters away is a better example for no chance to fight back

That they can. Although a simple answer is a mele weapon or bayonet charge. I remember fighting a trench raider. I was going face first at him and he was going full steam ahead towards me. Bayonet charge in close distance kinda made him deadish and not that terrifying anymore.
Going to play some BF1 now with this gun. Will let you know later how I did. Feeling motivated already

If you use it as a semi carbine it's pretty great. Those are full size rifle rounds in there.
It's not that the RSC SMG is bad, but that the other SMGs are all better for what Assault does.
That SMG is crazy I killed a sudden a horse with it it does so much damage

Have *9* bullets per magazine
If you’ve got the skills, and the right mindset… It’s a great freaking gun.
The only problems:
Random bullet deviation
Recoil
Reload speed
Ammo capacity
Fire rate
Looks hilarious
Sights arent amazing
Awkward to use
Hip fire goes insane when shooting
Overshadowed by nearly every other gun in its class
Very situational
But it is kinda fun as a troll weapon, like the kolibri
I played in a league that banned the automatico but didn't ban DLCs. So I used the RSC SMG for close quarters and beat up on the sweaty medic AL8 .25ext bois with it, since it has an identical TTK to the automatico ;D
Also that sentry, went prone, shoulda rushed and meleed

Sentry also has a club to smack me over the head with (plus much more health)

KriticalKris yes but prone guy you still get a one hit melee on, and seeing as he’s prone he would have had to hit you three times in the leg to kill you. Insta kill vs 3 hit..you’d win

The rsc smg is my favourite weapon in the game and I can understand if people hate this gun because of the ammo size, iron sights or the overall feel of the weapon but I say give it a chance just because it’s really fun to use

All over Gamer same. Optical variant with a 1.5x or 2.0x zoom
All over Gamer Absolutely loved it.
Its a pretty good weapon, the problem with it, its the magazine size, just not enought ammo to kill more than one person, and it runs out of ammo so kicklly, bounses all over the way when you just are in full auto, if you fire it more slowlly kinda works fine at medium distances.
Most underrated gun definitely. It's pretty versatile overall, like the 5-6 shot medic rifles that are good in close quarters and long distance fights. The M1912/P.16 is worse imo, often can't 4HK because of leg multipliers (so it's a worse Automatico most of the time) and the Thompson is like the same gun but more reliable/able to 2 shot/mag reload/use a trench. I have 100 stars with the RSC SMG and the M1912 storm but the storm is by far the worst assault SMG to me.
Using this for the first time yesterday and its insanely good, treat it like a auto marksman rifle

Is it bad I actually like the RSC SMG but I don't play assault that often I'm mainly playing Scout which is just about class rank 40 and medic which is almost class rank 20
Frankly, I feel that this is more a DMR than an 'SMG'. Sure, it Fires rapidly, but it just feels like the Trigger is being rapidly clicked, more than its actually firing automatically, and it's low magazine for an SMG just further cements it.
So the fact that the game calls this an 'SMG', more feels like False advertising.
I enjoy using it. Its a breeze of fresh air after using the great ones for a while.
BUT... as soon as I find out myself facing more than two enemies at a time, or facing a pro or tryhard guy in the enemy team, I cant help going back to my beloved SMG08.
RSC SMG is fun, best Ive got with it was a 27-1 in TDM (no revives).
With the SMG08 I get 45-0, 50-1 any day, easy.
If I had that one skin I'd definitely play this gun all day, so cool duuu

Sorry, but the M1917 Trench Carbine is the king of skill cannons for the Assault class from my point of view. Followed closely by the Model 1900 Slug.

The major problem why nobody uses it is because of its small magazine size. It could be a far better gun if Dice gave this gun a 30 rounds chauchat magazine ( because these were applyed to this weapon in WWI ) . It could be also a good LMG then too.

Ok I honestly didn't hate any gun in BF1. Everything was useable. It isn't the fedorov but it was useable. Even so its easier to use a hellregeil (or however you spell it. It's been like years). *edit* I guess it was buffed so I guess it kind of make my opinion mute.
The fedarov is a fine weapon. It shines in between the range of an smg and the other medic rifles.

The Factory is bad, but the Optical is a mini SLR
Liked it but wish it had 3 more bullets. Good for tdm and pigeons etc. But when more than 2 in front of u it was useless
i love that gun. RSC but full auto ill take it. I dominated with that gun on all the trench and close quarter maps.
If a smg has less than 20bullets in a magazine I’m already doubting if I’m gonna use it or keep it
Its underrated, the reason its called the worst weapon is because 3/4 parts of the community just use hellriegels and shotguns and they will just do it to make it easy for themselves.
My favorite submachine gun in BF1.
This gun drops people. All you gotta do is kill and run and repeat. Just gotta move in close. The long reload time does make it even more annoying but definitely a skill cannon.

Put it on single fire and you can win a lot of mid range encounters. It has limits though.

It's really not a bad gun. The dislike it largely due to it only having 9 rounds to fire before a reload is needed. My aim is pretty bad, so i stay away from it. But i did use it once to complete a weekly medal. Got the 20 kills, then never equipped it since lol.
