COMPONENTS - Excellent. The meeples are lovely, the cards are nice quality, and the tokens are chunky. The spinning board also fits well and seems like it should last for the long haul. *Note* - I accidentally wore a green shirt for the final bit, hence my oddly floating head :) 0:00 - Introduction 0:50 - Play loop variety 1:28 - Resource management 2:29 - Dungeon movement 3:31 - Card communication 4:35 - Action sequence 5:28 - Final thoughts
Chocobos have always been cute, and many of the main Final Fantasy entries have "cute" art too, like Final Fantasy IX, so it's fairly on-brand for the series. But if you aren't a FF fan, none of that might matter :)
Did you watch the review or the play. This game is hyper-tactical and challenging. Playing with my kids we could barely beat the first level. It’s a cute game, but not a dumbed down/kids’ game at all
I have to say I watched the review after I commented. See I have been wanting a full campaign dungeon crawler based on FF or FF7 for a decade now. So getting this without any storylines form the game is a disappointment. I want CMON to produce it with really nice oversized summons minis.
@@siriactuallysara ah, yes, now I see your point, and I fully agree. I've been playing a bunch of Middara recently, and loving it, and it is absolutely as close as we've ever gotten to a board game FF adventure.

Ahh, a floating head, lol. Looks fun. Thanks for the video.
Yeah, I gotta be more careful about the shirt colors I'm wearing :)
Been tossing up between this and paleo for my next coop and I know you rate paleo highly. Any thoughts on how this one holds up?
This is a fun and challenging co-op each time I play. But it’s also a bit repetitive, while paleo is a favorite and has tons of variety 😅
For me, the artwork screams candy land/chutes and ladders. Even if it's an amazing game, I don't think I could get past that.

You know what's going to be even cuter!? When we all get to play Re;ACT soon. So excited!!!! Wish I was going to GenCon to try it again.
Could they have made a much nicer game.
Having this license and making a children’s game boooo

So far the closest game I have is midarra.
