It’s funny how weird the redesigns for certain aliens look in SC3. I like some of the weird designs, but this one just looks bad. I saw a Reddit thread discussing various ways to salvage 3 in terms of story and gameplay. One of the people said that the colonies should’ve been both more fleshed out, and given you a narrative reason to build them. They could’ve been explained away as your forces are no longer just comprised of one big ship and a bunch of little ones, but instead you’re expanding out into the stars and making permanent encampments where industry and backup comes from. There were some other possible fixes that people listed, but I forgot them.

Neat! I tried this once to see what would happen and (surprise surprise) I guess the triggers had broken and nothing happened.
