‘To live Is To Die’ is a tribute to Cliff and represents different stages of grief which is why the middle section is so emotional with one of Hetfields’ best solos. Nice reaction!
Awesome man, very cool that you did these two songs together that was cool! When you play this on guitar it feels amazing. You can learn it, the solos are difficult but still. Yep this song helps you to get it all out, it’s not to late to get some good speakers with a subwoofer and blast this shit to really feel The hits on the drums ! Ok so now that you stepped it up with Sepultura Now we gonna show you a natch up From Sepultura While still keeping it very Musical! Ok so check out - ( DEATH - Crystal Mountain ) And enjoy the ride lol you will like but this is like a new Cookie Monster sound on the vocals for you to experience let’s just say. They One of the most powerful and greatest Metal band of all times Actually most would say.
Every time I listen to " to live is to die" I lose it , we played that song as we laid my brother Sam to rest after he was killed in action in Afghanistan😭, we both grew up listening to Metallica together. Rest in Peace Samuel Miller and Cliff Burton you both are my heroes in your own ways ❤ Dyer's Eve is some of Lar's best drumming in my opinion 🤘
yes do all albums and live versions of all songs, there are also alot of other songs they have only live acoustic covers and their own songs, should look upp all that and ad it to the list and do it after you finish the album catalog
Back when I first discovered Metallica, one of the first things I realized was that metal could be beautiful. This is my favorite metal album and probably my favorite album of all time, in general.
If you want to mix up the Metallica reactions, maybe try “All Nightmare Long” or “Spit Out the Bone” from some of the more recent albums. Or, maybe check out some cover songs off Garage Inc. or some of the live songs from the S&M (1999) concert video (performed live with a full symphony playing with the band).
Killer musical. The best metal music IMO needs to breathe a bit. This so slow yet heavy. This and One are prolly my 2 faves off this album, tho I love every song except for Dyers Eve. Its the one song on this album I never really cared for. Too bad Metallica lost me for 20 years when they came out with the Black Album. I was so mad I threw my casette of it out. I was pissed. If the song One was put onto the Black Album it wouldve been the heavyist song on the album, yet was considered a ballad on AJFA. This was Metallica's musical peak in my opinion. Tho they cracked the code and made 10's of millions in their career after AJFA, so they won regardless of my opinion.

If you visit Sweden and the place were Cliff died there is a memorystone with that quote, Can not the kingdom of salvation take me holme
BTW, James' parents raised him in the Christian science community. Most people consider it a cult. And it does come through in a lot of their music.
James writes a lot of his lyrics about his own life!
Awsomest Song EVVERRRRR 🤟🤟
Id be interested in that for sure
🤘👍👍🤘ed

Hands down the greatest thrash song ever.

Lars ate his Wheaties before recording Dyer's Eve.
Aren't you wondering where the bass is on this album?😮😅
I know exactly where it is. Buried under the egos of James and Lars.
jason played the same thing as james.... nothing special really...
You can hear it. It’s low, and it largely follows James.
Like i said before... Metallica can mesmerize u with just their instruments.
And
Can end an album with a track that makes u want more 🔥🎸🤘🏽
