Thank you all so much for being SO kind and educating me on the stickiness levels of slime. As for the hardening of the clay and bad shipping of other products, I think that's not ok for the price tag
I wonder if just sometimes you are so tempted to respond with stfu 😂 I respect you to taking the constructive criticism and advice ❤ ur a better person than me 😂😂
Jackie, please consider buying from other slime shops 😅 as someone who used to be obsessed with slime and bought from a lot of shops including Peachybbies, there are shops with much better quality out there. A few I love: Momoslimes, Slime OG, Slime Fantasies, Rodem Slime, Someotherslime. Also, if your hands are usually warm, they tend to melt clear slime. There are some people who just run hot and no matter how much activator they use, clear slime will always be sticky for them 😅
Tanooki slimes is Canadian! Also look for coated clear slimes if you want to avoid the sticky tacky feeling. Coated clear slimes are not sticky and activate super quickly if they get a little melted.
Agreed! Hay Jackie may I ask did your package from peachybbies only include the activator pen? Or was there some borax powder usually in a clipseal bag?
Hello, i used to own a slime store, and while I agree with people saying you should've kept adding activator, that some of slime looked beyond saving. In most cases a melted slime can be reactivated, however at a certain point it gets TOO melted and it's extremely difficult to get it back to its original form with just activator. Usually, in these cases you'd also add glue, which the company didn't provide, so i think that your review was fair. Also the amount of activator they provided is very small, and generally speaking, spraying it on the slime is not as effective as pouring, so a lot of companies ship the activator either in a small dropper bottle, or in powder form with instructions on how much water to add on your own (which is what i did back in the day). Especially at this price point, the fixing tools and introductions they provide should be better.
I didn't think to suggest glue. But that's exactly what I do when my home made slime seems runny. Like my maple syrup slime got really runny. I had to add a ton of glue n activator to it to fix it. I noticed this tends to happen when they sit too long. They need to b played w a lot to keep them from needing saved
So I live in northern Minnesota, and experienced the same with some of the stickiness. Turns out if slime gets too cold for too long of a period, even if it doesn't freeze, as it warms up to room temperature it begins to deactivate as well. You may need to use a lot of activator unfortunately, just go slow. Hope this is helpful!
That's why I cover my desk in clear contact paper (or whatever colour fits my needs or is cheaper. Sometimes having a darker background or lighter background colour makes my arts and or crafts easier to figure out.) Anyways, it's easy to clean and once it gets stained to the point it annoys me I can easy peel it off and then add a new later. And if you really want to save time, just add a few layers with a piece of paper (post-its work well) at one corner between layers (makes it easier to peel individual layers off). Just an idea to protect your desk if needed.
what I've learned from these comments is that slime makers need to add a pamphlet with all this information so people who aren't too knowledgeable but want to engage can know what's wrong with their product and how to adjust it jackie said that the instructions told her to do only one spritz at a time (tho its unclear to me if she did more) someone commented also on the hands having to be prepared as well, which doesn't seem to have been explained either assuming every buyer is knowledgeable in slime feels like a pretty bad mistake to me
I agree. When I watch videos of people with slime, and saying "oh I need to add activator/glue"... HOW DO YOU KNOW? TELL ME SO I KNOW! It honestly is what keeps me from buying slime. I'm not going to spend my money on something that needs to be doctored but there are no instructions.
when activating slime again please try mixing with one hand and spraying with the other so both hands aren't sticky. Clear slime is stickier and tends to melt a little faster so I understand the concern but that's just how those types of slimes are unfortunately.
Love your videos. Just something to note. Some slimes just go sticky, even in the cold. It can depend a lot on how there’re transported, or how long it has last been mixed. Some slimes can get sticky if not played with in a while. It’s not really the shops fault if the slimes are sticky, because they can’t control it. You just need to add a lot of activater, and it should get less sticky. ❤
Not true. It depends on the type of glue used. Older slimes, even if activated to the hilt, can still remain sticky if they're made with crappy glue. Not all slimes are sticky, and some can last for quite some time if made properly. If you think sticky slime is the norm, you haven't played with good slime...rookie. ;) *pokes*
It would be the shop's fault if they're shipping older stock knowing it's more likely to have gone sticky (especially given the market for these is often NDs who may have issues with texture... for example they could say on the website it might be sticky on arrival and include better instructions for reactivating (judging how much activator to use and how to mix it without getting your hands coated).
15:10 JACKIE!!!!!!!! I love you so much buuuuuuut when the slime is a DIY or rated as expert it typically means you have to add activation yourself because many people have different likes when it comes to how sticky they like the slime. Some people like it really sticky while some like you don't like it being sticky at all, and there are tons in between. It is part of the DIY experience 😂
I have some tips for when the slime is too sticky. 1. Take it out of the container FULLY!! It is much easier to activate it when it’s out, and doesn’t make sense for it to be in the container. 2. You may have over activated the first one, you’ll know when you take it out of the container if it’s over activated, and since you were just trying to activate what you had in your hands, it was making it even worse. 3. One spray wasn’t an understatement, you never want to over activate it because it will be not able to be played with. Take it out of the container, lay it out, and at that point your hands may be sticky, but it’s okay. Spray one at a time and knead it in, repeat until it’s playable. If it doesn’t become playable, it is a problem with the slime, but personally I saw no problem with those slimes that were too sticky. Hope this helps!!
Part of the reason the clear slimes are marketed more as intermediate or advanced slime is due to their likelihood to become stickier faster when not played with I would recommend working up to these slimes if you want to better understand slime behavior
As someone who makes slimes, temperature has little effect. Yes they do 'melt down' over time as the activator solution evaporates from the glue, heat can make this happen faster and like with most things cold can make stuff run thicker. All slime is at it's base is glue, borax, and water. Clear glues are made slightly different then white glues. White glues are made with polyvinyl acetate resin and water. Clear is typically used with polyurethane and silicone polymers. Both have a similar reaction when in contact with borax, binding the glues into a rubber. But due to the dilution of the borax, it just forms into a more viscous rubber that keeps the stretch yet is still 'goopy'.. Due to the difference in reactions clear glues will 'melt down' faster as the activator evaporates faster from it. The little spray bottles most slime shops offer are full on useless. I tend to give a 1 tsp offering of borax and instruct to mix in with 1cup warm water (to help it dissolve) and to add as needed half a tsp at a time. If it ends up being 'too strong' another cup can be added to the solution to make the dilution weaker. You can't 'ruin' slime. Even if too much activator is used and the slime becomes rubbery. Just let it sit for a few days, it'll slowly melt down back to the consistency it should be during its well, normal melt down process as the borax solution evaporates from the glue and the chemical reaction that binds the glue into slime wears off. A little fact: Borax, the main ingredient that makes slime is not some super high dangerous chemical like many use to claim as its often found in laundry detergent. But is actually a strong salt. Most allergic reactions are from people making slime using other solutions, like contact lenses solutions or laundry detergents that include other chemicals. But while all of them work in making slime, it's the borax in them doing the work, everything else is just unneeded extras. If you see anything with Sodium Tetraborate in it, that's is the other name for Borax and is the only thing in any of the above mentioned turning glue into slime. Not saying people can't be allergic to borax, people can be allergic to water and sunlight. But most of the issues in slimes early days of kids getting rashes or burns was due to laundry detergent and other stuff being used that includes other chemicals (even bleach) that can be very harmful if exposed to for prolong times. Most allergic reactions to slimes sold in slime shops are people allergic to any lotions used (often in cream slimes) and the fragrance oils or colorings (typically food grade colors but some watercolors and other water soluble pigments are also used). Thus if you want to make your own slime, just use pure borax. It's far safer and as said it is diluted to such am amount barely 1% of slime is borax.. All activators are typically 1 tsp of borax, to 1 cup warm water. Once the borax is dissolved in the water it can be stored and used indefinitely, it don't 'expire'. Most slimes are also 1 cup (8oz) . If fully melted down, 1 and a half tsp of the activator is usually the amount needed to bring it back to its slime state. But it can vary as say a butter slime is glue mixed with a soft clay and as it has less glue content less activator is needed.
Just want to throw this out there; while borax is very safe for most people, if you have eczema it WILL trigger a (in my case, horrible, months long) flare-up for most people. Be safe and wear gloves if you're unsure!
Also I wanna add something else: Technically with clay that's hardened, you can actually add it into slime. And it will EVENTUALLY rehydrate over time, you have to let it soak in the slime for awhile, before it eventually softens, and then mixes in fully. However, it needs to be more slime than the amount you seem to be given in the last bit of the vide, lol.
As a Grandma, I would like to thank you for these reviews. There are so many products out there these days and so few seem to match the price you pay for them. I love giving my grandkids craft projects for gifts and you definitely help weed through the options. ♥♥♥
1) make basic slime 2) buy bulk cabochons and clay slices, scents, and packaging from any wholesale site 3) post ~aesthetic~ *SO satisfying* ads of your overpriced product 4) people buy it because it’s on TikTok 5) profit!
As a person who buys peachybbies slime often, some slimes deactivate way more easily than others. You need much more activator. Also, some slimes do tend to be slightly sticky no matter what is done. I use them as poke slimes. This is from my experience.
PilotSlime! They are phenomenal and I have about 20 in my collection right now that I have collected over the last couple of years. Her crunch bombs are amazing, but her thick and glossys are incredible! I love a thick, popping slime.
sometimes slime just deactivates due to external conditions during shipping. that's why slime companies include extra activator. it's not their fault or a problem with the quality.
I get what you're saying, but $20-40 for slime, I would expect extra precautions to be placed. Extra packaging, a heating or cold pack, something to help maintain. Because that is a lot of money to end up opening a sticky trap
I'm sure lots of people said this already but the sticky slimes needed A LOT of activator. The clear slimes are more runny than the others. It used clear glue versus white glue. The clear slime is less scented bc thr scents oftentimes make the slime murky and they want it crystal clear. Also, keep vinegar on hand ehen using slimes. It will break down the slime and it will come off with ease. The more you know.
As many comments have said, slimes can go sticky from being cold, then warming up, as though its melting. Other times they keep the slimes slightly sticky so when you add in things like beads, they'll stay in. Sometimes it will be a mix of both, so you'll get the super sticky slimes. So for the strawberry slime from Peachy, maybe it wasn't activating properly because as you were activating it, and holding it, you were simultaneously melting it with the warmth of your hands while activating haha. I noticed for the boba one (haven't watched any further) you gave it's scent a low rating because it wasn't very strong. I don't know if you're rating scent on how strong it is, how good it smells, or both. I'd just like to say that they'll make slimes with much more mild scents for those of us that have sensitive noses and can get headaches easily. So i think it would be great to do two separate ratings for scent; Strength of smell, and how good it smells! As always, none of this is criticism, just helpful information!
the nuggie one disappointed me :c it looked so cool. That's super pricey for just that and it hardening. Thank you for seeing these because I been eying them myself for awhile now
Since people have already given you tips for sticky slime. I will add onto the tips with my own, as I'm someone who plays with slime all the time and have for awhile now. Here's another tip: It doesn't matter how much activator you put into clear slime, clear slime will ALWAYS be sticky if you go too slow. With clear slime, you have to go fast. Pretend it's lava. As someone who owns lots of clear slime from many different shops, it's an advanced professional level of slime. You have to know what you're doing with the clear ones. You have to pretend clear slime will burn you when touching it, so that way it's not sticky at all, you go VERY fast, never stop moving. Because it you let your hand stay in the clear slime for even a second, it'll stick to you, no matter how much activator you added. I hope that makes sense and helps a bit. If you're not into that, I'd recommend staying away from clear slime. The only clear based slime that's actually not AS hard to handle, is jelly slime. :)
genuine question: why would you buy these "DIY kits" when your ultimate goal is to mix all the cute components together? i get that slime is fun to play with, but you only experience putting together the kit for a moment before you, well, play with it and turn it into one giant glob of slime. to me, none of these "kits" would be worth the extra money when i could just buy two slimes and mix them together. what am i missing, here? (FTR, i think for me, fidgeting is about repetition, and you can't really repeat the experience of assembling a DIY kit with slimes because they can't be separated once they're mixed.)
These remind me more of Crazy Aaron's advent calendar - where the goal is to have "unique" putties every 4 days of the calendar. But you can usually get them pre-mixed - or you can keep out pieces if you don't like it. But the entire goal isn't a "Diy" but to keep the surprises going and keep the price down - but part of that IS the mystery, which I think makes a "DIY" thing like this more fun rather than "here's all the stuff - do it."
I don't always understand DIY kits, but I have gotten a few in my time. The ones that I get are ones that I feel would be especially fun both during the mixing and playing afterward. For example, I got a kit that came with both crunchy peanut butter and jelly slimes, and two pieces of clay bread. Getting to make a PB&J "sandwich" then absolutely wrecking it by squishing it and mixing it was super fun for me as a kid who always wanted to play with my food, but never did. Other people seem to enjoy making something very pretty and then destroying it in the same way.
As someone who loves slime, I also don’t really understand the popularity of the diy kits either. I’ve only gotten 3 diy clay ones before. I rarely get them unless I really like the theme of it because once you mix it, it’s usually just a very plain and boring looking slime. I also don’t like them that much because it never fits into its original container once mixed so you need to put some of it in an extra container, and, at least with me, the extra slime in the extra container never gets played with.
i think a big part of it is ppl wanting the fun experiences they see in slime videos without buying all of the ingredients n having the leftovers with nothing to do with :3
@@remunnie well, i get why people want pre-made slime. the part that confuses me is why people would pay extra money for slimes and clay that, once mixed together, can't be separated again. you can only have the cute pie-shaped thing for a moment before you squish it all into a muddy glob. at least with, say, resin DIY kits, you can display the finished object even if you can't go through the process of putting the kit together again.
For peachy babies i havent had the stickiness experience but i know the the further they have to ship the more likely it is for the slime to deactivate. If you add to much activator it gets hard and then if its to hard you can add lotion to it to soften it.
After many slime purchases over the years, I've come to rely on just a couple of slime shops that I know offer quality slime that isn't sticky. It all depends on the type of glue used, and even some of the most popular slime shops still use glue (especially for clear slimes) that remains tacky, regardless of how much activation used. I'm sure there are many shops out there that I haven't tried which use Korean glue (preferred), but my go-to shops are Rodem and Momo. Still, it's always fun to branch out now and again, hoping to find a rare gem; I do like to support small slime businesses, but I trust those two and always come back to them. Happy sliming!
Yes! I’ve noticed that certain slime shops have clear slimes where the slime is always sticky/tacky even when fully activated (Potcha slimes when it was still open had this problem and Kawaii Slime Company used to have this problem but doesn’t seem to anymore). Mono slimes is also usually my go to shop. They have high quality slimes and aren’t overpriced like some shops, especially the very famous/overrated ones, are.
Hey NerdEcrafter!! i wanted to let u know that clear slimes are known as like harder slimes for fast movements! they are supposed to be a little sticky!!
I wonder if different scents interact with the slime differently? Because I’m pretty sure soap makers have to know how the scents they use interact with their soaps, wonder if it’s similar with slime and the slime makers aren’t aware of the interaction?
Different scents definitely do interact differently. I follow several slime makers and enjoy watching their WIP videos. Some textures / colors just do not come out correctly when certain scents are mixed in. If you want, for example, a very clear slime, you either have to put in very little scent or only a certain formulas, or it will cloud up pretty much immediately. It's all basically chemistry!
I’ll spare you the sticky slime lecture, I think everyone else has that covered already 😂 The hardened clay is a real shame though, especially for that price point. I hope they can figure out better packaging, because that Happy Meal idea is super cute. I appreciate that you do these reviews. I always want to buy slime, but the price always scares me off. It’s nice to see an unbiased opinion so I can at least judge if it’ll be worth it. Also I too struggle with sticky slime, so I can get an idea for what kind of issues I’ll have too 😂
see the berry boba one for me would be just fine to play with, but since everyone else has said what needed to be said, ive heard nothing but bad things about the second slime company, the packaging and the clay being hardened was absolutely insane, but i expected it from them. i ABSOLUTELY see the potential with the last one, if they juts find a better way to transport the clay pieces to actually look like the picture
i'm sure lots of people have already said a lot about how to manage your slimes with more ease, but i would recommend also paying attention to the level of difficulty of the slimes you order to avoid wasting money in the future ): . many slime shops label their slimes as being beginner friendly slimes or not and in the case of the melted slimes you received they are with clear glue bases that are usually labeled as being difficult to handle . cloud slimes and icee and snowfizz are more beginner to intermediate friendly slimes and you will absolutely have less hassle with these slimes as far as needing to finnick around with them before play goes.
you cant make everyone happy. If I'd go online and told people what kind of textures I like. people would riot! I think. I grew up making slimes at home especially the fluffy or sand types. I felt shamed to oblivion by strangers I didn't talk to cuz they would think my creations where "wrong" Policing how people enjoy or what people think about stuff is not the way. it's ok to share opinions and what's considered the right way. But I do have a problem how a few people try to enforce shame in to personal opinions! I Think Jackie is entitled to her own opinion just as you are.
jackie you’re my fav BUT i think you should watch more slime videos or research abt them before buying slimes especially ones you don’t necessarily understand
I like the creativity of the slimes, really cool ideas. I think because slimes are a one and done kind of experience , the super smushy taba squishies seem more appealing to me as you can squish them repeatedly.
A lot of slimes are slimy weather is a factor but also depends on how long it took shipping and how long slime sits. Also over activating slime can make it sticky and back to glue
I am not a big fan of slime all together but i wanted to say something - for that pricetag, something i could make 10x bigger batch of for 2x cheaper is a scam. The charms are bulk bought from chinese manufacturers. The slime itself is just borax, some coloring, add some texture. Perfect it and viola. You have your own 30 dollars slime for 3 at home, and i can guarantee you figuring it out and experimenting would be way more enjoyable than playing with a sticky brown mixed mess. You get the cute packaging tho. Which brings me to the next thing - i dont know sh about slimes, but i know a lof of things about shipping fragile things. I breed animals for a living and i ship ton of insects, snakes, lizards ect. Overseas. You pay a lot, because sometimes half the price is just shipping alone. It guarantees the thing you buy, animal or not, will come to you in a pristine condition. I cannot justify the pricepoint of any of those slimes, even if argument "shipping and packaging" shows up, its not properly packaged. No protection whatsoever.
I don't understand paying a premium price for really plain slime that would be easy to make it home, which is why the ones I buy are textures that would be a pain to try to recreate or too pricy to get everything to start. I don't need like a pound of pumice sand sitting around doing nothing after I only needed a cup, you know? 😆
@@psychotophatcat okay this is the sole reason that I can understand when buying slimes. I haven't thought of that. But also, you can always make slime with the rest of the sand and sell it online for 10x the price 🥲🥲🥲
Agree. I won’t lie, i want to play with this stuff.. but it’s insane for people to be paying over 5$ over product that is litearlly under 1$.. the profit margins for this stuff is insane.. I get if it was custom charms, etc.. but it’s not.. and the air clay being packaged the same from 2 vendors is very sus.
Just for information sake, slightly hardened clay will eventually combine with the slime! You dont know until you know, so you're totally fine! (But that chicken nugget one needs to be packaged better tbh... i like the plate cuz i like playing with slime on a plate, but not very worth it for me, tbh) Also, slime will eventually melt. Especially clear slimes and especially while shipping. Its not the fault of the makers and its not your fault, that is just how slime behaves. Knowing how to use the activator is definitely a skill you need to know if you're going to be playing with slime
I wonder if they mixed the smells for the waffle batter and the syrup. Because I would imagine syrup smelling like maple and batter having a bit of cinnamony smell. As someone who also has issues with textures I understand being finicky with slime textures.
You don't have to, though. I have that one too and never broke them and I love the texture with the cubes in it! It really comes down to personal preference, I think. Some feel better when broken down, some don't.
What gets me is that you have 2 or 3 little tubs that you mix together but at the money it costs you in the first place why don’t they give you an extra tub that’s big enough to house all the slime once it’s been mixed altogether, plus why don’t they bag the clay waffles and nuggets in resealable bags with all the air taken out…. Keep up with your fantastic work xx
I have literally never understood why some companies won't send an extra container when they know that the slime will get larger with the add-ins or inflate with use. You can usually buy an extra container for a few bucks, but I feel like the slimes that are obviously going to get bigger than their original container should just come with one.
@@psychotophatcatYes! This is part of why I don’t like getting diy slimes because they never fit in the original container and it usually doesn’t come with a bigger container.
omg been wanting for you to try diy food slimes!! i've been seeing gt creation slimes alot they have good packaging too very immersive and close to real.
I think some people might just have skin that deactivates slime. It sounds weird, but I'm one of them lol. Slime immediately deactivates when I play with it for a while and no amount of activator will save it.
Are your hands warm on average? When your hands are hot, the slime is going to melt/deactivate a little. Some people just have hot hands all the time the same way that people like me have cold hands all the time, so that might be a factor.
I find that it helps when you pay attention to the levels of slime. Intermediate slime is going to be a different difficulty than easy slime and I know it sounds silly but it exists for a reason and I think you would like the beginner level slimes a lot more. A Good shop to check out is putty egg I recently ordered from them and it was amazing and it was very inexpensive. They have a big sale going on right now. But I have been following Andrea on social media since 2016.
Hi Jackie, here some tips if you buy slime with clay it might be harden but it will not ruin the slime, the clay will be absorbed/soften in a couple days. Keep making slime videos, honestly I love all your vids ❤
I now I am a bit late to the vid but I would like to say: When slimes are cold for too long, they tend to melt/deactivate as they warm up. Also! when a slime isn't played with for a long time, it will start to deactivate. A way to kind of help fix slimes that have begun to deactivate/melt is to simply add more activator AND/or add some glue. Really just depends on how badly deactivated/melted the slime is. -Someone who used to own and make a lot of slime
The lemon pie one was especially sad since there are literally tupperwares sized for pie slices that would have helped it keep its shape. Why not just use that? Such a weird choice.
FIRSTLY, good morning Jackie. Hope you're doing well!! I always know it's gonna be a great day whenever you post 😊 Secondly, I love peachybbies! I feel like 99.999999% of the time the advertisement picture is going to be what you're going to be getting, additives from the pictures included.
Unfortunately I've had a similar experience with PeachyBbies either the slime is amazing, or deactivated and way too sticky, even after lots of mixing and activator. I've had great luck with Snoop Slimes, never a bad batch so far!
Agreed! I had some from Peachybbs that dried out very quickly even in their containers and I really didn't take them out much. One was so sticky I had to put in the entire bottle of activator and still buy more because it wasn't enough. Now that one is really good though! Still, I probably won't buy from them again and instead stick with Snoop, Momoslimes or Pilotslimes! Those were all 100% positive experiences for me. As well as Avocadoslimeez, a small European shop I recently discovered and was very surprised by how good they were!
I hate that it just had a bunch of single giant plastic pieces... For over $20... I finally broke down and got slime obsidian and got 10 slimes for like $140. I'd only tried a couple types of textures before but I loved _every_ single one. I'd have been really sad if I had paid _that_ much.
Depending on the weather when shipping you do need to reactive when you get as weather can effect it and also you can still put dry clay pieces together as they will sometimes softened up in the slime and diy slimes all the stuff needs to mix together
I have never understood the appeal of slime. It's just more plastic and chemicals that will wind up dried out, mashed into the rug, and tossed into the trash with no regard for environmental impact when you're bored with it. What a colossal waste of money! I'd rather have some clay...at least you can make things with that!
Thank you all so much for being SO kind and educating me on the stickiness levels of slime. As for the hardening of the clay and bad shipping of other products, I think that's not ok for the price tag
@@nerdecrafter hi🩷

And when slimes don't get played with in A while they get sticky
fellow minnesotan as well and you are 100% correct! I actually have better luck buying slimes in summer then winter!
That's really good to know - I had no idea, so VERY helpful if I get anything cool for the kiddos this Christmas!
what I've learned from these comments is that slime makers need to add a pamphlet with all this information so people who aren't too knowledgeable but want to engage can know what's wrong with their product and how to adjust it
jackie said that the instructions told her to do only one spritz at a time (tho its unclear to me if she did more)
someone commented also on the hands having to be prepared as well, which doesn't seem to have been explained either
assuming every buyer is knowledgeable in slime feels like a pretty bad mistake to me
How do you charge $35 for some harden clay, plastic fries and 2 mini slimes???
Love your videos. Just something to note. Some slimes just go sticky, even in the cold. It can depend a lot on how there’re transported, or how long it has last been mixed. Some slimes can get sticky if not played with in a while. It’s not really the shops fault if the slimes are sticky, because they can’t control it. You just need to add a lot of activater, and it should get less sticky. ❤
Came to say this, thank you!
Not true. It depends on the type of glue used. Older slimes, even if activated to the hilt, can still remain sticky if they're made with crappy glue. Not all slimes are sticky, and some can last for quite some time if made properly. If you think sticky slime is the norm, you haven't played with good slime...rookie. ;) *pokes*
@@witchywoman4139That quite literally isn’t how slimes work.
Activator*
I think it's not her fault - shop should provide a normal instruction.
@@NiconD80 it might be on the website
A little fact:
Borax, the main ingredient that makes slime is not some super high dangerous chemical like many use to claim as its often found in laundry detergent.
That’s really helpful info!!
Just want to throw this out there; while borax is very safe for most people, if you have eczema it WILL trigger a (in my case, horrible, months long) flare-up for most people. Be safe and wear gloves if you're unsure!
Some people really know how to fix slime but the average person doesn't know
Also I wanna add something else:
Technically with clay that's hardened, you can actually add it into slime. And it will EVENTUALLY rehydrate over time, you have to let it soak in the slime for awhile, before it eventually softens, and then mixes in fully.
However, it needs to be more slime than the amount you seem to be given in the last bit of the vide, lol.
**video
I wholeheartedly support small business and creators, but just personally I'd rather spend $40 on actual chicken nuggets. That's a lot of nuggies!
As a Grandma, I would like to thank you for these reviews. There are so many products out there these days and so few seem to match the price you pay for them. I love giving my grandkids craft projects for gifts and you definitely help weed through the options. ♥♥♥
1) make basic slime
2) buy bulk cabochons and clay slices, scents, and packaging from any wholesale site
3) post ~aesthetic~ *SO satisfying* ads of your overpriced product
4) people buy it because it’s on TikTok
5) profit!
lol Watching Jackie play with slime is stressful…but also entertaining.
Agreed! I recently got two of them for the first time and was so surprised by how good they are! Definitely some of my favourites!
Putty egg is amazing as well.
sometimes slime just deactivates due to external conditions during shipping. that's why slime companies include extra activator. it's not their fault or a problem with the quality.
I get what you're saying, but $20-40 for slime, I would expect extra precautions to be placed. Extra packaging, a heating or cold pack, something to help maintain. Because that is a lot of money to end up opening a sticky trap
Kitty Editor appreciation post! ❤❤❤
Clear slime doesn’t usually ship well so I would say add more activater (borax solution)
the nuggie one disappointed me :c it looked so cool. That's super pricey for just that and it hardening. Thank you for seeing these because I been eying them myself for awhile now
Jackie wondering why the syrup was sticky made me laugh a bit.
Every time it started sticking I shouted abort! ABORT !!😂
OMW.. The second-hand "eeky-ick!"
When I saw that sticky one *shudder*
Since people have already given you tips for sticky slime. I will add onto the tips with my own, as I'm someone who plays with slime all the time and have for awhile now. Here's another tip:
It doesn't matter how much activator you put into clear slime, clear slime will ALWAYS be sticky if you go too slow.
I appreciate your honesty when reviewing things, you don't hold back but you are not mean either.
Poor Jackie those nuggets look pathetic 😢😂
You may like Slime Senpai! They have made my absolute favorites that I have ever gotten and are incredible for sand slimes in particular.
@@psychotophatcat Cool thanks, I'll def check 'em out.
I think clear slimes have more of a tendency to be sticky, so they need some extra mixing and activation.
When an order comes with items to fix issues, i generally assume you keep adding fixers until it works
Underactivaded slime is easy to fix, but overactivaded is nearly impossible to fix. (in my opinion) I haven't seen many people able to fix them.
Hey NerdEcrafter!! i wanted to let u know that clear slimes are known as like harder slimes for fast movements! they are supposed to be a little sticky!!
Yup! Clear slimes are definitely on the stickier side by nature.
When slimes don't get played with in A while they'll get sticky that might be why your slimes came sticky
Always makes me happy to listen to you while I work.❤
I’ll spare you the sticky slime lecture, I think everyone else has that covered already 😂 The hardened clay is a real shame though, especially for that price point. I hope they can figure out better packaging, because that Happy Meal idea is super cute. I appreciate that you do these reviews. I always want to buy slime, but the price always scares me off. It’s nice to see an unbiased opinion so I can at least judge if it’ll be worth it. Also I too struggle with sticky slime, so I can get an idea for what kind of issues I’ll have too 😂
You would give the maple syrup scent a 10/10 you gosh dang Canadian 😂🥰
I think your hands are very warm, which makes it sticky. Also, you need to spray your hands first and make sure you don't have lotions on.
She said in the video her hands were cold, it's just a terrible product lol
I love watching SlimeObsidian slime videos!
That is some of the most expensive slime I’ve ever heard of! For not much extras and not a bigger size than most other shops. Pretty insane lol.
see the berry boba one for me would be just fine to play with, but since everyone else has said what needed to be said, ive heard nothing but bad things about the second slime company, the packaging and the clay being hardened was absolutely insane, but i expected it from them. i ABSOLUTELY see the potential with the last one, if they juts find a better way to transport the clay pieces to actually look like the picture
i'm sure lots of people have already said a lot about how to manage your slimes with more ease, but i would recommend also paying attention to the level of difficulty of the slimes you order to avoid wasting money in the future ): . many slime shops label their slimes as being beginner friendly slimes or not and in the case of the melted slimes you received they are with clear glue bases that are usually labeled as being difficult to handle . cloud slimes and icee and snowfizz are more beginner to intermediate friendly slimes and you will absolutely have less hassle with these slimes as far as needing to finnick around with them before play goes.
Gooood morning!! This is just what I needed to keep my day rolling
you cant make everyone happy. If I'd go online and told people what kind of textures I like. people would riot! I think.
I grew up making slimes at home especially the fluffy or sand types. I felt shamed to oblivion by strangers I didn't talk to cuz they would think my creations where "wrong"
Policing how people enjoy or what people think about stuff is not the way.
it's ok to share opinions and what's considered the right way. But I do have a problem how a few people try to enforce shame in to personal opinions!
I Think Jackie is entitled to her own opinion just as you are.
With sticky slimes you spray and play quickly
jackie you’re my fav BUT i think you should watch more slime videos or research abt them before buying slimes especially ones you don’t necessarily understand
I learned from making and playing with slime, that smaller pieces or clay harden faster than larger pieces of clay. Also, I love you channel!
20:39 instructions for what? It’s slime you just have to mix it no?
Slime Community has the BEST diy slimes hands down!
I like the creativity of the slimes, really cool ideas. I think because slimes are a one and done kind of experience , the super smushy taba squishies seem more appealing to me as you can squish them repeatedly.
Not me watching this video wondering if Jackie was click baiting us with the title lol
ridiculous to charge that kind of money for something you cant even use because they hardened
"I see slime everywhere!"
You only have eyes for slime, Jackie. 👁
Thanks for sharing
@UWU-vf4qu True! But I hate selling online 😅
I’m not really into slime diy kits as to just testing regular types of slimes, that’s all from my perspective 😅🥰😅
I love your videos. I’ve been watching your channel for about two years now
Love your honesty
Just for information sake, slightly hardened clay will eventually combine with the slime! You dont know until you know, so you're totally fine! (But that chicken nugget one needs to be packaged better tbh... i like the plate cuz i like playing with slime on a plate, but not very worth it for me, tbh)
Also, slime will eventually melt. Especially clear slimes and especially while shipping. Its not the fault of the makers and its not your fault, that is just how slime behaves. Knowing how to use the activator is definitely a skill you need to know if you're going to be playing with slime
So enjoyable and relaxing video
It looks like they should’ve vacuum sealed it so no air could get to it. I am definitely glad that I have never spent that much money on slime kits.
Thank you for your honesty!
So, I was working at a Michael's during the height of the slime crazy... I really don't enjoy slime,or glue,or glitter
I love slime I'm really glad that Jackie did this video
I love Peachy's slime ! I ordered some last time you made a video about that brand and they're not dried out yet ! very good quality
I wonder if they mixed the smells for the waffle batter and the syrup. Because I would imagine syrup smelling like maple and batter having a bit of cinnamony smell. As someone who also has issues with textures I understand being finicky with slime textures.
On the watermelon one, you are supposed to break the jelly cubes!
You don't have to, though. I have that one too and never broke them and I love the texture with the cubes in it! It really comes down to personal preference, I think. Some feel better when broken down, some don't.
@ yeah, I totally agree! I was just saying that it is possible :)
I love you so much and you always make my day better 😊
omg been wanting for you to try diy food slimes!! i've been seeing gt creation slimes alot they have good packaging too very immersive and close to real.
I think some people might just have skin that deactivates slime. It sounds weird, but I'm one of them lol. Slime immediately deactivates when I play with it for a while and no amount of activator will save it.
Omg Ik that my mom and a bunch of other people have it
Are your hands warm on average? When your hands are hot, the slime is going to melt/deactivate a little. Some people just have hot hands all the time the same way that people like me have cold hands all the time, so that might be a factor.
Heeeyy ,I’m still pretty new on this channel but I am in loveeee whit these vids❤❤
You’re in for such a treat!
Who else felt sad that there was no sprinkle song for the cake ? Sniff 😢 x
Btw peachy babies has some slimes have advanced levels so the clear slimes are like harder to work with. That’s probably why they’re getting sticky.
This video needs the sad titanic flute song lol
Yeah, it needs the one that sounds all out of key 😅
ONLY AN HOUR AGO? EXCITED TO WATCH ❤
I love your honesty its part of the reason why i watch ill even watch if its a product i wouldn't usually buy ❤
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ❤❤
The lemon pie one was especially sad since there are literally tupperwares sized for pie slices that would have helped it keep its shape. Why not just use that? Such a weird choice.
HI NERDECRAFTER IM A HUGE FAN ABD IVE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY!!!
FIRSTLY, good morning Jackie. Hope you're doing well!! I always know it's gonna be a great day whenever you post 😊
Secondly, I love peachybbies!
Love ur vids and also I agree with the smiles
I love your reviews! I wanted to buy peachybbies slime for a long time now, so your reviews really make me feel sure about my purchases ❤❤❤
I hate that it just had a bunch of single giant plastic pieces... For over $20...
I finally broke down and got slime obsidian and got 10 slimes for like $140. I'd only tried a couple types of textures before but I loved _every_ single one. I'd have been really sad if I had paid _that_ much.
okay the McDonalds type meal is making me hungry for McDonalds!!! lol yum!!!
The sticky ones give me the heeby jeebies
you should try slimeecommunity's baking kits. They are seriously well done and worth the price!!
My intrusive thoughts are to binge things as well. I don’t know why.
