Louis is so keen to do the right thing, looking after his image so well, to be an inspiration to other boys growing up. But all this seems to be lost on Toto Wolff. There is no "mismanagement" -- this is just drama created by all F1 media pundits to keep your attention. Toto Wolff and the Mercedes AMG engineers have given Lewis Hamilton a championship-level car for the better part of a DECADE. Lewis is overrated and not enough credit is given to the team and what they did for him, but what do you expect from a bunch of 'fans' who don't know how racing works? If anything this move hurts his image because it shows that he is willing to give up on the people who gave him the opportunity to win 6 World Driver's Championships the second they aren't winning anymore. Meanwhile Alonso is content trying to revive midfield teams, Lewis acts as if he is entitled to winning and can't handle 3 seasons of not being in the fastest car. He was showing up to every race this season saying, "I can't wait until the weekend is over". Imagine going to work every day and having someone like that around. He has a horrible attitude. Lewis is just a kind hearted gentleman who in his younger years wore his heart on his sleeves. It's so rewarding watching him mature and become the greatest F1 driver of all time. Mercedes and Toto have really treated him rotten, and have destroyed what could have been a lucrative partnership for many years even beyond F1. However, this is their loss due to their mismanagement and short sightedness.

I’d argue the success Mercedes enjoyed during the hybrid era wasn’t actually down to Toto, as he was just ‘maintaining’ what someone else had built! Ross Brawn made all the relevant provisions for success, including aided with bringing Hamilton to the team, all of which Toto simply subsequently benefitted from - This is illustrated by the end of the hybrid era, where under Toto’s leadership, the team is yet to win any championship. The current ground effect era requires a whole new set of provisions for success and as you can see, under Toto’s leadership, he’s not been able to assemble a winning team; instead, he’s allowed the winning moves to slip right past him, including key people such as the sport’s greatest driver of all time: Sir Lewis Hamilton, of course!
There are a lot of people and entities that do not want Hamilton beating Schumacher’s record. For what ever reason that is we are not privy to it. What Ferrari figured out is that if Hamilton wins an 8th championship they will have had the two record holding drivers driving under Scuderia Ferrari. To them there’s no greater recognition. When i opened this video, TH-cam showed a new interview toto did a couple of days ago, and the thumbnail says lewis is a friend and my question since when and how are u treating friends as enemy. I stopped liking toto since it became toto vs lewis am lewis fan, and i will always take his side and hate anything who takes something and does something to him.
The problem is that Toto wields too much power in the team. He is the TP, a significant shareholder, driver manager and negotiates the contracts etc. He juggles too many balls so the team is shaped around his world view, his experience, his emotions and his grudges. Brawn was the F1 man that lured LH, Toto jumped on that bandwagon and was even in team Nico’s team before he left. Lewis was his man while he was winning, now his true colours have to come to the fore. Over the years, team owners that are also TP’s are very difficult to work with as a driver - Frank Williams (RIP) and Patrick Head, Ken Tyrell (RIP), Eddie Jordan, Enzo Ferrari etc. They’re ruthless because they’re in too deep. If Toto was just a part owner with a separate TP, an employee that would be tasked and judged on where they Finish in the WCC, we wouldn’t be seeing all of this nonsense. Wish I knew why people hated him. I'll never understand and even the reasons most give are just unimportant. Dress sense and things that don't even relate to track performance mainly or so they say. Not only just giving Rosberg an ambassadorship, but also offering that same thing to his last championship rival is crazy imo. Rosberg at least did something for the team in the past but why they wouldn't give Lewis the same thing is beyond me... It makes little sense not to offer him that, and makes even less sense to offer that to Max instead. Crazy that one but honestly after everything I've seen this year I'm kinda of glad now. In fact not just this year, this year and 2016 there were a lot of questionable things happening though just probably not to the same extent and less obvious. Mechanical issues can be explained as freak occurrences but four of them was kinda suspicious. Still pales into insignificance compared to all the strategy errors, not allowing him to start from pits when the car was bad, starting him in the pits but running an experiment instead ready for new parts in Baku, failing to build his car properly twice etc. It wasn't just once or twice, but numerous times he's had things you rarely see happen and had very strange strategies like Singapore starting on soft tyres for one, less strange but Canada strategy was poor and other races his strategy was poor. Not starting from the pits in Brazil and Austin wasn't great either, especially when since Mexico you can see visible differences between the cars. Lewis car is always more loose, wayward or downright unstable. No way is Lewis (a guy only outqualified 3 times in a decade in the wet and just twice by George) 1.7 seconds slower in just one sector than George in the wet with similar cars. The difference isn't even subtle, it's obvious the rear was a lot worse on Lewis' car and this was blatantly obvious all weekend. Even looked bad in the dry.
Toto is ashamed of his and Mercedes handling of Lewis leaving their team after such a successful time together. With Lewis leaving ,Mercedes will have to start from the bottom as Russell is not going to make that team popular nor competitive.

You said it yourself. When Lewis failed to win his 8th championship, Mercedes were hoping he would call it quits afterwards. When Michael Schumacher announced he would retire at the end of 2006, I supported his decision. He said he had done everything he could up to that point, there was nothing more he needed to prove. This is the kind of scenario Toto was hoping for Lewis to do. Instead, he kept on racing. All the while, Verstappen began winning more races. He still regrets letting him slip thru his fingers and is desperate to get him, even if it meant kicking out Lewis. To Mercedes, Lewis was costing them a lot of money and they don't like it when he's complaining a lot about the car's poor performance. In their eyes, there are other drivers out there who are cheaper and more than willing to tow the company line. They didn't liked it when Lewis said they weren't listening to him, as if he knew better than they how their car works. All Lewis had to do was just drive the car, don't talk about how bad the car is, and obey whatever is told of him. Since he refused to do all that, they tossed him aside like a dirty rag.
Do mercedes & wolff care about the Hamilton legscy, I think not, as soon as Lewis exposed how he's been racially abused within the sport from day1 & his participation in the BLM movement he had a target on his back. You are incorrect. It's not that it was legal, it's that the FIA 'claim' they found nothing to confirm that the front bib was adjusted in parc ferme. Red Bull (as we saw on TV) diverted the FIA's attention to the top panel on the nose where the bib could be adjusted, although awkwardly. The claim was the RB also had a panel behind the pedals in the cockpit that made the bib adjustment easier to do. And it is legal for mechanics to fiddle inside the cockpit during parc ferme for reasons of 'driver comfort'' - whereas they could not fiddle with the top nose panel. What IS illegal and remains so, is adjusting that bib and therefore ride height whilst the car is in parc ferme. Red Bull do illegal things on their car, such as the inertial braking system they had on since the start of 2022 and are allowed to get away with it unpunished because (a) they "co-operated and altered their car" an (b) the FIA does NOT want a big scandal like excluding RB from a championship (like Schumacher was in 1997 for simply swerving over to Villeneuve).

The problem is that Toto wields too much power in the team. He is the TP, a significant shareholder, driver manager and negotiates the contracts etc. He juggles too many balls so the team is shaped around his world view, his experience, his emotions and his grudges. Brawn was the F1 man that lured LH, Toto jumped on that bandwagon and was even in team Nico’s team before he left. Lewis was his man while he was winning, now his true colours have to come to the fore.
Over the years, team owners that are also TP’s are very difficult to work with as a driver - Frank Williams (RIP) and Patrick Head, Ken Tyrell (RIP), Eddie Jordan, Enzo Ferrari etc. They’re ruthless because they’re in too deep. If Toto was just a part owner with a separate TP, an employee that would be tasked and judged on where they Finish in the WCC, we wouldn’t be seeing all of this nonsense. Toto is hurt, powerful and trying to get revenge.

Wish I knew why people hated him. I'll never understand and even the reasons most give are just unimportant. Dress sense and things that don't even relate to track performance mainly or so they say.
Not only just giving Rosberg an ambassadorship, but also offering that same thing to his last championship rival is crazy imo. Rosberg at least did something for the team in the past but why they wouldn't give Lewis the same thing is beyond me...
It makes little sense not to offer him that, and makes even less sense to offer that to Max instead. Crazy that one but honestly after everything I've seen this year I'm kinda of glad now.
In fact not just this year, this year and 2016 there were a lot of questionable things happening though just probably not to the same extent and less obvious. Mechanical issues can be explained as freak occurrences but four of them was kinda suspicious. Still pales into insignificance compared to all the strategy errors, not allowing him to start from pits when the car was bad, starting him in the pits but running an experiment instead ready for new parts in Baku, failing to build his car properly twice etc.
It wasn't just once or twice, but numerous times he's had things you rarely see happen and had very strange strategies like Singapore starting on soft tyres for one, less strange but Canada strategy was poor and other races his strategy was poor. Not starting from the pits in Brazil and Austin wasn't great either, especially when since Mexico you can see visible differences between the cars. Lewis car is always more loose, wayward or downright unstable.
No way is Lewis (a guy only outqualified 3 times in a decade in the wet and just twice by George) 1.7 seconds slower in just one sector than George in the wet with similar cars. The difference isn't even subtle, it's obvious the rear was a lot worse on Lewis' car and this was blatantly obvious all weekend. Even looked bad in the dry.

Toto is ashamed of his and Mercedes handling of Lewis leaving their team after such a successful time together.

I think Toto's comments about he would have made his move on Charles or Lando doesn't make sense and it's not a valid reason to punish Lewis If Toto claims he knew Lewis will be leaving.

You said it yourself. When Lewis failed to win his 8th championship, Mercedes were hoping he would call it quits afterwards. When Michael Schumacher announced he would retire at the end of 2006, I supported his decision. He said he had done everything he could up to that point, there was nothing more he needed to prove. This is the kind of scenario Toto was hoping for Lewis to do. Instead, he kept on racing. All the while, Verstappen began winning more races. He still regrets letting him slip thru his fingers and is desperate to get him, even if it meant kicking out Lewis. To Mercedes, Lewis was costing them a lot of money and they don't like it when he's complaining a lot about the car's poor performance. In their eyes, there are other drivers out there who are cheaper and more than willing to tow the company line. They didn't liked it when Lewis said they weren't listening to him, as if he knew better than they how their car works. All Lewis had to do was just drive the car, don't talk about how bad the car is, and obey whatever is told of him. Since he refused to do all that, they tossed him aside like a dirty rag.

Do mercedes & wolff care about the Hamilton legscy, I think not, as soon as Lewis exposed how he's been racially abused within the sport from day1 & his participation in the BLM movement he had a target on his back. Following this his own team mercedes seemed to be championing a plan to humiliate him, create his self doubt, anxiety & ultimately retirement. However, Lewis, like a fox he is was wise to this & protected his stain free legacy the best way he could by not exposing this beast to the media himself but letting wolff & mercedes do a stellar job exposing themselves.
I hope starting in 2025 mercedes would stop mentioning the name Lewis Hamilton and focus only on Russel/Antonelli. Ferrari must.enjoy all the privilege of having the star driver in their ranks, if the F1 media ever allows it!
I always thought the reason SLH was sabotaged in 2021, because if he had won his 8th title, he would have retired. FiA and F1 can't afford to lose their most valuable asset to the sport. However, your perspective is valid.

I still watch this parody of a sport because he is still in it, otherwise, I cancelled/unsubscribed to everything after Abu Dhabi 2021 and will leave when he retires. But, I might now continue with the Ferrari for believing in the G.O.A.T.. Le Clerc will do well to understudy how to become great during their short stint together.

You are incorrect. It's not that it was legal, it's that the FIA 'claim' they found nothing to confirm that the front bib was adjusted in parc ferme. Red Bull (as we saw on TV) diverted the FIA's attention to the top panel on the nose where the bib could be adjusted, although awkwardly.
The claim was the RB also had a panel behind the pedals in the cockpit that made the bib adjustment easier to do.
And it is legal for mechanics to fiddle inside the cockpit during parc ferme for reasons of 'driver comfort'' - whereas they could not fiddle with the top nose panel.
What IS illegal and remains so, is adjusting that bib and therefore ride height whilst the car is in parc ferme.
Red Bull do illegal things on their car, such as the inertial braking system they had on since the start of 2022 and are allowed to get away with it unpunished because (a) they "co-operated and altered their car" an (b) the FIA does NOT want a big scandal like excluding RB from a championship (like Schumacher was in 1997 for simply swerving over to Villeneuve).

The moment it was clear Brawn built the team, did the hardwork with engine, chasis, base, and more...Toto came along and stole it all.
