My goodness. With less than one month to go before BT17, it's time to review over these cards and prepare you for the different archetypes you'll be experiencing. My methodology this time is breaking down the set by movies, so if you have a particularly favorite movie, don't worry it's on its way!

Maaaaaaan BT17 really is right around the corner haha. Im so ready for the crimson mode blast ace though!
Not sure how I feel about tribal Gallantmon still though. Something is missing.
The best card of this bunch is Infermon unironically.
I love Diaboromon getting so much support! I still wish the alternate win condition was something else.

Diaboromon gets some crazy ability to build back after losing the main stack, thanks to the BT17 Keramon and EX6 Infermon. Since you should have some tokens lying around, if you have BT17 Keramon in play and the opponent plays/digivolves into a Lv.5 you can warp T EX6 Infermon, then delete a token to digivolve into Diaboromon, for free. And since most/all of your Diaboromon should be able to make a token on digivolving, you can de-digivolve something from the Infermon's inherit and possibly delete something if going into Ace.
That's what I love about the new Diaboromon support! So many new control elements and ways to keep board presence. The best part? DeathXmon doesn't really do anything even on the turn it's played.

@@DIGI-PANDA You know, I kinda said this as a joke, but the new title actually is much clearer anyway, so I do appreciate it! it was a little confusing at first.
Wow. That Greymon is so splashable. I agree with Clock of the End won't be easy to win but it's still nice to have another win condition.
I'm just happy that our first alt win, can't be done in one turn naturally. that makes it so that even if something easy is found to cheat them out, you have to wait until start of turn trigger.

After reading over a lot of the comments, it does feel like bait to run 4. But at the same time, there are some ways to delete option cards in the next set.

@@DIGI-PANDASomething to have in mind is that BT17 Diaboro is the best one to run in reaction to the other BT17 meta threats. Imperial? They ignore blocker, not redirects. Blue Hybrid? They cant ignore a redirect and Diaboro has protection, so they cant just outright bounce it. Even for the new lv7 ACEs, BT5 Armageddemon is needed, and this new Diaboro generates much more immediate value than the EX6 does, making it a better target to sacrifice, much more so with the new Tsumemon.
This being said, the need to have BT17 Diaboro online may lead to 4 copies of clocks. Players will just need to adapt their deck building. A 4 of Analog Youth is a great start...

That Greymon is rather versatile. Especially regarding the Bond Ace from LM3 and Omnimon Ace. Frankly? I’d be tempted to run it in Eosmon as well.
The Omni DNA deck is looking really nice. However, it does feel like it could use a little more protection and polish. Since it is Omnimon though, a Cyber sleuth and/or survive set could give it some needed support.
Diaboromon… the win condition isn’t great. That Keramon? Fabulous. The infermon is pretty great as well. The Diaboromon? Not so much. However, with the next card for the deck, this set and Ex6 have promoted the deck into being an absolute beast.
We have to wait til December for the Bond ACE though :(

Especially for people who may want to play the Ex7 heavymetaldramon deck since Megidramon ace will also be unavailable until later.
I think the perception of the Diaboro Option is incorrect. I think it is very easy to look at it and thing "Oh, the purpose of this card is to win instantly", but I actually think that the Win Con is just icing on the cake. The REAL meat of the card is that, for a measly 3 memory, you get to:
- Get a Token to proc any of your effects (De-Digi, Memory, Draw, etc)
- Get a Token lol (an extra body for 3 mem is VALUE)
- Get protection on a valuable Diaboro for one turn
- Get an extra source (helps against your valuable sources getting stripped. Kinda.)
- Forces your opponent to try and answer the new source, lest they fall victim to the instant loss
So yea, even without the new Win Con, I love this option. It's similar to Catastrophe Cannon, but more versatile.
Like, on a stack of OG Kera, Kurisari, EX6 or BT17 Infer, and EX6 Diaboro, you pay 3 to play it, then you get to Draw 1, Gain +1 Mem, De-Digi 1 guy, get temporary stack protection, and get another Blocker. That's effectively 2 Memory for all of that! Absolute value.
All very valid reasons! I think overall I was looking at it from the perspective of new alternative win condition.
You just described a win more card, is so bad. You need to already have a stack. Also is a dead draw when you're trying to get back on the game. 4 of that thing for the off chance to win is a bad idea, the games are faster and you can easily win in 1 turn with the tokens with either rush or beast cyclone

I like that the infermon doesn't allow to attack. That way, we can proc diaboro ace on our turn to trigger arata.
Panda thanks for bringing something to my attention.
I wanted to build a Blitzgreymon deck and you made me realize I could blitz Omni when my opponent is at one security when you brought up the Wargrey from this set. Thanks mate.
Don't forget. If you have X-Antibody tucked in the sources, you could also trash a second security with Omnimon X. So in essence, you only need to chip 3 security damage before you can call game.

God, I for sure hoped Parrotmon was a secret rare to accompany secret rare greymon, but I still like the effect for a Zephagamon deck
I honestly thought Parrotmon would be a secret rare.. but it's definitely good for a Zephagamon deck coming out in September!
I always thought it was weird that they didn’t put that all turns effect of the greymon first. Weird to read

Why cant you place clock of the end under a token?
From one ruling I read, tokens cannot have digivolution sources. This makes sense and is consistent with the BT5 Armageddemon for deleting a token versus digivolving off of it.

Magnamon X is definitely going to deter a lot of players for the time being. I saw a report on @east_ml channel that showed that Numemon and Magnamon X are still pretty high on the tier list.
@@DIGI-PANDA i think the card only loses to numemon so if they hit that deck magna might be best deck they need to hit both next banlist
