- I recently picked up this awesome 30 slot Jakar pencil wrap so I thought I'd show you guys what I carry in it on the daily. These pencils sometimes change, and I'm sure if I do this video in a month's time, it would be totally different.
Let me know what you think of this 'one shot' format. It relies on my talking a lot more, but the simpler setup means I can crank these out far more often than the very involved reviews like the Cedar Pointe.

I'm actually a pen guy, but watching your videos has sparked an interest in using pencils! That and the fact that most of these pencils are fractions of the price of other pens! Thank you for such great content!

Everyone at my school uses Ticonderogas, and when they don't have any eraser left people just throw them out. Sad.
So sad!
the erasers run out for me before I've even used a quarter of it being a very eraser-frequent artist. I just use an eraser cap but, if you got a 72 pack of them already and countless more boxes were that came from in years prior, I can understand why people just move on to another one. everyone has like 10x as many as they need because of how cheap they are and the obligatory big resupply every school year.

Those paliminos were my favorite. I was sad when they stopped making them. I have 3 each of the orange and blue with eraser and 1 of each color without the eraser. I havent been using them since i cant get them anymore, but i think i will pull one out and enjoy it. Edit: Found 7 more and 2 were already sharp so i guess i dont have to be too precious with them, however half have California Republic printed on them.....do you know what the difference is?
Still looking for the Koh-I-Noor red&blue's? I travel to Prague to the Koh-I-Noor shop at least once a year and there is a shop in the Netherlands that has them in stock. So just let me know.

@@WoodGraphite My grandmother was a professional proofreader/editor for a book publisher. She always used those blue and red pencils for that work, marking up the galley proofs. I don't know under which circumstances she would use red, and when she would use blue, but I suspect it was an internal standard for the publishing company.

Takerfan4ever303 The better question is, 'Where don't I shop for pencils?' because they are so ubiquitous, I'm always on the lookout! That being said, I've found the best places to be Art Stores and the internet.
Fred Aldous in Manchester have a bunch of General's stuff (Cedar Pointe / Semi Hex / Kimberly)
eBay UK is great for finding vintage pencils (Some from Her Majesty's Stationery Office) but also new pencils. I bought a gross of Corporate C2's for £6 delivered and a box of 12 Papermate Mirado Black Warriors for £3.50. Just gotta keep an eye out.
Amazon UK and Cult Pens and sometimes Bureau Direct are also great, though it's mostly European stock, not so much American.
Local stores can sometimes surprise you, my local Staples has a massive clearance on at the minute, which netted me a bunch, and Hobbycraft (an art store chain) has a few choice Faber Castell pencils.
I've also been lucky enough to connect with people and trade. The Erasable podcast (www.erasable.us/) Facebook community has a Euro swapathon that moves around. I've gotten a bunch of nice finds from there.
I've also had a few people just up and send me pencils. One amazing local pencil fan sent me a bunch of Palomino brand pencils (Golden Bears, Prospectors, Blackwing MMX)
These is a pencil called DOMS groove pencil. it's on eBay.
P.S. Have you tried the ("Swiss made Caran d’Ache * Bicolor * 999 Red & Blue Pencil")? They are beautiful and really cheep in the UK Dude. £1.94 & free shipping. Let me know what you think. Nick.
