Ruby is the #1 ink for control due to it having the only board wipe, lore control with Aladdin, and multiple targeted removals but lacks card draw which is why it needs to be paired with either Amethyst or Amber for their draw engines.
Super awesome to have someone like Dan to put all this together for everyone else's benefit! Great job dude. Maybe soon we'll see Ruby/Amethyst break the 50%
Thanks for the feature brother! My only loss of the day was a 3 game round that I went to 19 lore in game 3 against Red/Purple control (where I also misplayed 1 lore). I DID manage to avoid steel song in the tournament so take that for what’s it’s worth, but I have done consistent with it on Pixelborn. I will say this was def a meta call though and the element of surprise does play a big factor! So while I don’t claim this to be the “new meta deck”, I definitely wouldn’t call it a fluke. 🤘🏻
Also worth mentioning that I would ALSO cut Develop but there are 0 other 1 drops we can play besides scepter which isn’t very synergistic. It’s there as a 9th and 10th 1 drop until we have them
There were 53 players at CCS. It was on Twitch being streamed because I dropped from event went home and watched it. There were so many players they bumped it to 100% payout so it was like a 1.5k? Big shout out to them! Awesome events
I'm hoping to go to Miami if I can get that weekend off of work, but I have absolutely no idea what I would play. As a former control player in magic, I know I should play the ruby/amethyst control deck, but I will if I have to.
To be fair, I always wanted to play something that wasn't the "best" deck. In any card game, because I don't like to have it easy. However, from playing for about a month. I can tell you that the most fun I've been having is playing the Ruby Sapphire mirror match. It's so exciting because you're trying to map out every single play and every single lore count and it's the ultimate battle of wits. Where if I see a Lilo turn 1 I'm like, I better get that off the field. I don't like turbo decks, especially since Kuzco is a card that by itself wins games and I don't like those untargetable cards. That's why Aurora is my favourite card combo alongside Belle. You have to set it up. There's a difference in feeling you played well, or you just played a card your opponent cannot deal with
Im very surprised we arent seeing any amethyst steel, i feel like the early game package of steel combined the the draw power and late game bombs of amethyst is so strong. I often win vs ruby amethyst by just flooding the board more times than they can stop while removing magic mirorrs with beast, i dont think its particularly favored vs them id say its a 50/50 ish match up but its much better vs amber steel and it feels favored into most decks.
Sorry, so much Talk and Numbers that dont mean a lot wasnt the Meta Report i was expecting. Decklists? Most played Cards? Please keep up the work but show more Deck Information than only throwing around the colors that were played
This is fair, generally I use this video to discuss the overall happenings. And another to be more in-depth to the decks themselves. This weekend just had more then the avg to cover. So to cover so many decks in one video it would have been 2 hours lol.
Unpopular bold opinion. Amber/Steel Lilo/Stitch deck is the best deck ever made, from all games, ever : the deck is good in early, mid and late game. the "casting" cost of cards are already cheap. Worst, it can be lowered. If the cards are damaged, they can healed and draw cards while healing. It has access to Grab Your sword wich can clear most of the opponent's board. If you are playing against this deck and managed to kill (almost) everything, it has recursion. The fact that we don'T have access to a sideboard really sucks. I hope set 2 will fix this.
@@TheForbiddenMountain Thing is : it beats the most popular deck right now. So, it will be the most popular. probably the only reason why it's not that played is because cards are not available anymore.
I won 6-0 with Ruby/amethyst at locals. The whole drive home I was like- I could suck at this game and I’d never know. The deck is too good. It’s a brainless deck that requires no actual skill. It takes skill maybe in mirror matches but when you always have answers for every single possible thing, its a brainless autopilot deck where there’s usually 1-2 moves at any given time. Boss monster? Dragon Fire/Maui .. You went wide? Be prepared. Threatening Questers? Elsa. Until then, I’ll just bring out Ursula, magic mirrors, shields- etc. I faced Steel/Emerald, Steel/Amethyst and Amber/emerald. All of their decks were well made and interesting. Mine was just the most synergized, toxic cards in the game. I just sold my deck for $450. I’m making a new one cuz I’m bored of not having to be good. I want a challenge.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but please don't go into the details of amethyst/ruby. I feel like there's enough information about that deck already. I'd love to hear you talk about the less popular ones!
To play the best Decks you have to pay a lot of money. The best cards are mostly very rare. That Game is not for children. Maybe rich children. Very sad
Yup. Due to the continued scarcity, I believe the winning decks are going to be based more on whatever decks the biggest spenders want to play, as opposed to true strength. I believe the reason we keep seeing Ruby Amethyst going strong is because it gets a lot of buzz which attracts the spenders to it.
I think it’s a misinterpretation of Ages8+. Yes you can play the games with kids and enjoy the game. But if you want to play at the highest level of competition, it’s absolutely going to come at a cost. And with the supply being so low unfortunately that cost is higher then most anticipated.

Absolutely possible haha.

I will add this to notes. Thanks for the information!
You gotta post that amber sapphire list please!!
Absolutely going to cover it!
You can find the list in the description for the Atl top 8 now though.
Big thanks for the content 👊
Ty ty!

PPG Miami, Michael Skinner showed us how to play Emerald/Sapphire without Hades Mickey, or Belle!
My boy Zeke! You’re too kind brother

RipnShip Gaming on Long Island is hosting a 1k September 30th.
where can you see/check the top pixelborn decks?
Generally the discord always does it. (I normally cover it in these weekly videos, just has so much to cover already)
Owl central games Lancaster pa
Thursday night league is the best !
What was that Amber Sapphire list?
Check the description top 8 ATL link is there.

Maybe a $ thing. That deck costs big time on both sides (for local events)
Is the tampa list out?
Their out, they just don’t have a central location like the other 2 did. I posted a bunch in discord as I found them tho. (I do this for every event)
The Goons made a video covering all the Tampa lists
Wanna see the amaythest sapphire...never seen this deck before.
I post all the decklist as I find them to our discord. There is a central base for Tampa yet so i wasn’t able to include it in the links.
Do the lists!

I mean it is the second most popular deck in the top 8d and won ppg Denver so it’s definitely a major player in the meta
@@TheForbiddenMountain Thing is : it beats the most popular deck right now. So, it will be the most popular.

Amber Sapphire is clearly better, but there are a lot of inferior versions so it isn't topping.

Not everyone watches all lorcana content out there so have to stay true to what people are playing
@TheForbiddenMountain I get it. I've just bever been a fan of control decks. Which sucks for me
Ruby is good only with amethyst
Currently, hard to disagree
To play the best Decks you have to pay a lot of money. The best cards are mostly very rare. That Game is not for children. Maybe rich children. Very sad
What TCG is for children? Card games have always been for adults
Most card games are like this. Pokemon is probably the exception.
That's how trading card games work.
