EPIC FAIL! PDQ ProTouch Tandem breaks on Camera! || ProClean Auto Wash [Chelmsford Site]

- In my entire life of filming car washes, I’ve never had a car wash break on us before. Well, today it finally happened.
So I decided to come back to this very nice PDQ ProTouch Tandem at the ProClean Auto Wash in Chelmsford Massachusetts. We paid for the $20 Ultra wash and we expected it to do its normal wash process. Well, once we pulled in the bay, the problems started to occur.
I noticed that it started off with a high pressure rinse which was very odd, then it did it’s regular pass of presoak. The Wheel Blasters came on as well and it didn’t really have good pressure. Then the wash cycle started. The top brush came down and washed the front and back of our car The side brush started and washed ONE side of the car and then stopped suddenly. It continued to wash until it stopped spinning all of a sudden.
I was thinking, “What the Hell just happened?!” Then it probably did a emergency rinse and stopped at the end of the bay. It continued to spray water on the ground. Then the dryers started, the sign told us to exit and the machine was still spraying water all over the ground. Once we exited, the dryers shut off all of a sudden.
I was literally pissed me off at this moment. Luckily, the owner was working here and we told him what happened. He went to take a look at it and I swear to god, I saw the top brush was at the back of the bay in it’s down position. He later then placed the wash out of service and told me and the person behind us to go use one of the LaserWash 360 bays. He told us that he was sorry about what happened and gave us a Free $20 Ultra wash in the 1st LaserWash Bay.
Overall, this experience was totally unexpected and at this time, i wouldn’t recommend visiting the ProTouch bay. I also filmed the 1st LaserWash Bay again.
If anyone knows why the ProTouch Tandem broke, please let me know in the comments below! I would be really appreciated to know :) Hopefully I can film this wash once it’s open again! - ตลก

i had that happen to me before at a LaserWash 4000 at my local cefco
The ProClean management seems pretty good at righting things though. I used one of the Laserwash bays in Westford during the winter, before they installed the automatic bay gates that keep the heat in. The pre-soak FROZE to my car before the wash was able to wash it off and it left my car an icicle. A quick email later, they immediately refunded my credit card so I could get another wash.
Their washes do an amazing job.
Every car wash system can have its issues here and there , heck that ryko softgloss maxx 5 that carwash explorations filmed , was messing up really badly especially since it was brand new and already having issues
Agreed. Modern Ryko systems are pretty bad. PDQ and Mark VII are way better.

Did you call the owner and tell them what happened
There was a guy working there and he gave us a free Re-wash in one of the LW360 bays. He then coned off the ProTouch wash and it was like that for about a week until it was fixed.

@@thecarwashelevatorfanatic7433usually on the newer touch less laser wash systems if the spray arm hits anything on a vehicle it resets on the laser wash 4000 if the arm hits something on the vehicle it shuts down
@@thecarwashelevatorfanatic7433I wanted to tell you sometimes on these newer PDQ systems like what just happened to you sometimes there can be a part in the machines that can go bad and need to be replaced
