Idk if you guys go to them but my husband and I have a rewards cards for truck stops. So when you purchase food for us fuel since we do CDL. You earn points that you could use for showers. So you won’t have to pay for them. Since you 2 are married you can use 1 shower for both and save like that as well. Tho sometimes I want my own lol 😊 hope this kinda helps. Love your videos!! 💜
Wow, that's SO cool!!! Thank you so much for sharing! That's actually a fantastic idea, especially for when we head out West and have fewer friends to visit! :)
Claire, your feet remind me when I was going to Pennsic War (a medieval reenactment group, SCA Society for Creative Anachronism) Annual 2 week camping event in august in Slippery Rock Pa. After 2 weeks of walking around on red dirt roads wearing sandals, your feet kind of get stained red for a time lol. You guys are up north at just about the right time for the foliage change according to our NYC weather guy, so am very envious of all the beautiful colours you guys are seeing. So how is the van holding up? Over last weekend I was able to successfully test my 15 gallon water tank, the only leak was at the shower handle that I bought that clearly said "ON/OFF" function. Well it seems in the fine print "off" is actually a dribble so that your water heater won't shut off while you shut the water almost off to lather up... I don't have a water heater, but you do need some sort of functioning "On/Off" switch or the 12 volt water pump keeps running. So $10 later I added a ball valve to the shower handle that fully shuts the water off. I am happy! Starting working on the new bed frame that I am building it around 3 rectangular milk crates to use as drawers to save on the weight of plywood drawers, and a spot for the porta potty and 200 amp lithium battery behind it. have you guys been thinking about 12 volt compressor fridges? Well keep filming all that beauty out there and have Fun!
Van is holding up AMAZING! No complaints so far. It's actually staying cleaner that what we'd imagined. We may or may not make a couple adjustments to the van when we return to our hometowns in November, but there aren't any necessary changes needed! And it's SO wonderful to hear your van build is going well. We use a lot more water in the van than what we expected, so it's good that you're getting all that sorted! The milk crate idea sounds convenient and also very aesthetically pleasing. As for the fridge-- we have not! We have been very pleasantly pleased with our cooler, so we will continue on with that until something goes wrong ;)
Thanks for letting me join your adventures! It was so fun. Enjoy the foliage and everything New England fall has to offer :)
