As someone who previously rented a single-glazed flat… would not recommend. On the upside you will get lots of use out of your blankets/dressing gown/hot water bottle(s)/etc in the Winter!❤
to answer your make up q; I've tried to be a 'on the floor in front of a full length mirror' girlie but always get drawn back the bathroom - easy access to cotton buds for smudged mascara, can dampen my blenders, wash my hands between applying, so yeaaaah
I went to a warehouse in Silvertown E16 called Thrift factory Kilo sale !! They had a massive selection you could spend a whole day there... They only allow some people to pick and choose as they are really exporting mostly. but They also do events , thrift factory £10 per kilo. You need a strong back to go through the clothes as mostly in cages and trollies... But it was worth it as many where Brand new with Tags...

The “clothes horse” on the ceiling is a pulley! Super common up here in Edinburgh and lots of other old tenement cities
