And we now we land on my hometown. 0:19 Heinz. Always Heinz 2:24 Riverhounds! 4:12 area code and sell the team, Bob. 5:18 RIP 6:32 whoa, that's unexpected
I’ve been to PNC Park a number of times. It is the best atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful. Tickets are very affordable as well. If you’re in Pittsburgh during baseball season highly recommend going. Be sure to go early and walk around the stadiums. Awesome
I went to my first baseball game in 1966, at Forbes Field. I was also fortunate in that my uncle took me and my sister to the final two games played there. At the time, I was all excited over the coming opening of Three Rivers Stadium. I wasn't able to go to the 3RS opening, but I was at the final game. Long before that final game, I was hoping every year to find out that a baseball only ballpark, with a grass field was going to be built. I was able to go to both the pre-season exhibition game and the home opener in 2001. I had tears in my eyes the first time I looked out at that wonderful grass field.
4:54 "Czech republic"? Crazy fact: You actually CAN see the building where the agreement to establish Czechoslovakia as a country from the seats in PNC Park! Look it up, it was aptly named the Pittsburgh Agreement and was signed directly across the river in the 600 block of Penn Avenue. So yes, you can "Czech" that off the list of things seen from the Stadium!
Great video. You mentioned that most venues are on water... Pittsburgh is the city of water, and bridges, as a matter of fact they have 446 bridges in the city. Pittsburgh is also the hometown of the greatest Miami Dolphin of them all Dan Marino so I love Pittsburgh for the gift of Danny boy! Greetings to all from Miami!
7:17 You're not lying about the mess over this arena. For D2 basketball, they were lucky to draw 400-500 people in a 4k seat venue. They tried - and failed spectacularly - to host concerts at this arena. I do not miss that place at all.
@@JBM425 it's not too bad, is it!? I think they could have done it a bit better though. The Roebling Bridge is righ there, and they didn't incorporate it enough! Should have done like Pittsburgh 😜. I'd say we both agree the best thing both cities did was to tear down those god awful cookie cutter stadia though!
0:19 and 5:25 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh Maulers, a team in the United Football League, should host their games at Pitts. Steeler's Acrisure Stadium. Additionally, there is a strong need for both WNBA and NBA teams to be stationed at PPG Paints Arena in the city.
rostover sucks to play in thr boards jave concrete in them and it hurts to get checked into them. They were going to do a game in rostover gardens for the penguins but thwy refused to play there due to the boards

There’s not only a California University of Pennsylvania, there’s also an Indiana University of Pennsylvania which is not too far from Pittsburgh
And IUP has a much nicer arena than Cal U (now known as Pennsylvania Western University at California).
There's also the Wyoming Valley where a certain show called the Office is filmed out of. Also it's the namesake of another state.
@@jamespyle777…which is not near pittsburgh

As a former “Yinzer,” thanks for covering these! Pronunciation tip: ROSS-tray-ver Gardens.
I'm a Tigers fan and partial to Comerica Park, but that view at PNC Park is amazing.

Thank you sir for doing Columbus and Pittsburgh.

Duquesne University football stadium has some nice views too! But sadly it doesn't meet your cut off requirements...
I went to Duquesne in 1999 and the field didn't have permanent seating

Diehard Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan here, but I gotta say Pittsburgh is one of the coolest, most beautiful cities in America. PNC Park is heaven
@@patrickgrisley You also have a pretty sweet setup there with the stadia that replaced Riverfront Stadium.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds stadium with the waterfront and the skyline 🏙️ is really nice
Do the stadiums of Milwaukee, Wisconsin!!!
It's ok. I still call it Heinz Field...
I attended California University of PA. We also have an indiana university of pa.
Stadiums of Canton Zurich or Zurich Metro pls
If you haven't, it'd be cool if you did a Ultimate Frisbee Association video.
The Duquesne venues didn't make the cut because they were too small. Football only has a 2,200 capacity and
Basketball only has 3,500 capacity
Do the stadiums of Detroit-Windsor so we can have a third cross-border twin cities stadiums video.
It's coming soon.
How do you include Robert Morris and Cal U but not Duquesne???
I live in Pittsburgh. We still call it Heinz Field
cant believe Rostraver got the shoutout
Moon, not to be confused with the other W.Pa places of Mars and Venus. No matter how many times I see that Penguin gif I will never not laugh.
Love the video but I think you missed duquesne and their stadiums
Pittsburgh where I’m from ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Forbes field and PNC have nice similarities!

The football stadium barely has any seating, but their arena is nice and definitely a miss in this one
