As a photographer that struggles taking self portraits I never even thought to do videos so that way you have more frames to choose from🤯🤗 I’ll definitely have to that out with hubby so maybe we could actually do a holiday photo!!

I was recently in my best friend’s wedding and her photographers were awesome! They had us do some walking pictures and we were told to look at each other and laugh. It felt so silly but the pictures turned out so so beautifully! Thanks for these tips 💕
I take screenshots of the videos I take of my grandson. He's always active and I find it a lot easier to get great shots doing it that way. I never considered doing it for family photos. That's a great idea. :)

I have been taking my families photos for years with my 35 mm camera and a tripod. I was asked many time, who took my family photos and I said myself. It has always been a hobby of mine.

That would be the reason why I would hire him. I've worked with one who i felt like didn't want to be there, like i wasn't good enough. She was meh. I take my own now I'm just not in them and my style is more documented or in the moment.

One of my best memories with our family is a two-hour photo shoot we did with a professional photographer (a Mother's Day gift from our daughter). It inspired us to take a tripod and camera out to do our own in the following years. Thanks for these great tips!

I generally take pictures in video, you get, clearer photos and a quicker shutter speed. I never thought about using a screen shot! I will definitely be trying this!

Omg I can't even tell you what perfect timing this video is! I always take our family photos myself and I used to use a DSLR with a shutter remote but I recently sold it. We need to take this year's photo next week and I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how to do it with three kids and three dogs. Screen shot from video will be perfect! Thanks so much!

love the pics, I have a good friend who lives down the street come over every fall with her nice camera to take our family pics, this way we're done in 20 minutes and even the dog is in the pic. I made the gingerbread houses yesterday and today our 10 year old son had friends over to decorate with Halloween candy, it was a hit!
