i have a 2016 Peterbilt 389 flat top sleeper which mine is colored black i been doing long haul for two years now and the pete i drive is amazing i also have a flame thrower kit which i love thats the number one special piece of my truck lol
I love the 579 over the 389. Much more room in the sleeper. The only thing I’d change is the fifth wheel. It’s too low for hauling chemical tankers. But what a gem. Nice price too.
Is there a specific name for that type of rig? I understand it’s a peterbuilt 579 but your rigs seem to have everything!! Smoke stacks etc.... thank you! Future owner prospect!
Tastefully done o/o look....didn't think it was possible on one of these....well done...if only they had an upgraded less plastic/fantastic dash available in these
When are you going to do one of these 579's up like that two tone chocolate tan 300" wheel base 389? Another amazing video. And another great truck. We have a few of these here in fort worth where I work at TNT Crane and Rigging but they are bare bones chop top coffin sleepers and cabs with 10 speed transmissions. I don't think anyone quite appreciates a stand up sleeper quite like some who is 6'4". Nothing but the best from Oklahoma
Nice video! I have a question. I am a truck driver from the netherlands, and our release of the trailer(fifth wheel) is always on the shoulder side, as in, right hand side. Why is it on the left in America? (sorry for the possible not correct english, I am dutch,,)
Steve show what Make a 389 Pete unabult under sleeper 2chassis 4 airbag system no other truck on market offers this that's what puts in a class by its self and a great ride.🤓🤓🤓
yeah i got a question about the truck, how much would one Cost exact same except less chrome and more black. (i like a little chrome but i dont want it to own the look of the truck, i want it to stand out) and a Paccar engine instead of a cummins?
What is the fuel storage on this one and is it possible to not have a tool box on the passenger side and have another fuel tank like a 75 gallon or so ? We get big fuel savings fueling at our hubs and an extra tank would make sure we could always reach one without have to stop at a truck stop
Hay bro, no one cares about the chrome as much as you think we do. We want to see the sleeper in great detai. I couldn't even see the bed how small or big. All the space in the sleeper, the fregirator how big it is, and generally how it looks not from the sleeper to the cabin but from the cabin to the sleeper. Thanks for making the video. Please tell us your financing options too.
Thanks for the input bro, some people actually buy trucks form me because they are tired of monochromatic fleet specs and like some chrome to show pride in their ride. I will take your notes into consideration on the view and the refrigerator. Financing options are for good credit, 72 months, 10-25k down is common
With Kenworth coming out with the W990 utilizing this 2.1 meter cab I'm curious to see if Peterbilt will do a long hood model like Kenworth has done with the W900 line, hence the W990. Also heard something about as of 2025 no more air cleaners on the outside of the trucks.
Nice looking. I'm a OTR driver looking to buy my first truck looking around not sure if I want a all New or a Glider upgrade can you help with idea's. But I'm not to much for all the Chrome.
Beautiful! You wouldn't happen to have one equipped the same way, but with single bunk, in legendary teal inbound would you. I have a 2017 579 but would like the Cummins instead of the paccar.
Steve, Is it possible to get that cab with a single bunk and with more cabinets on the back wall? I need more storage when my wife comes along which will be very often when we retire.
Do you have any like these available now on your lot or coming down the line? I need the wheelbase and boxes for flatbed work. Don't care so much about the chicken lights or chrome though.
I prefer the shorter sleeper also for more front overhang capability with the 5th wheel slider set up to slide the pin back over the center of the rear axle
man if i had one, only thing i'd do is...maybe a whale tale for more aero. some yellow bulbs for the fog lights.other than that its a clean rig and will make someone happy&a lot of dough.
I drive a 579 company truck now, and love the space. This is beautiful and has me leaning this way as I plan for my o/o dreams.
Make it happen! Good luck!
Keep on dreamin...my husband just order his 2019 peterbilt..😊
I love these 579's.
Do they ride good
Beautiful truck to bring in the 19's. The 80 inch looks great with this wheelbase.
I appreciate that Lloyd
I'm not really a fan of 579s w/o a skirt package, but, your boys do a great job making them look clean and classy
We really like this set up
I love how you get your Pete’s spec’d, ie: insulated fuel system etc... If I ever am able to go O/O I’m comin’ to see you.

Another Great one Steve! I wouldn't mind at all to see some more 579's.
The ones I build are just like this, 1 or 2 bed and a variety of colors.
@@SteveCarbone ikkkklkilkjjjygghyyy
How much are these roughly
That is a gorgeous truck!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.

I'm old school when it comes to steering wheels but the steering wheel in this truck is very nice and would be very convenient.
agreed
Beautiful Truck
how can I see the paint if its covered in a layer of dust and dirt?
Sweet looking truck.
Thanks
Is there a specific name for that type of rig? I understand it’s a peterbuilt 579 but your rigs seem to have everything!! Smoke stacks etc.... thank you! Future owner prospect!
I see it has four back up/hook up air lines lights on the back of the cab. Do you ever order with load lights instead?
Shoutout from TAT Express out of Hutchins, TX
hayyyyyyy
Felicitaciones!!!
Tastefully done o/o look....didn't think it was possible on one of these....well done...if only they had an upgraded less plastic/fantastic dash available in these

That red is beautiful. And has a few different shades depending on the light.
its very pretty
Nice set-up 579.
Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching!
Thanks Steve.
anytime
Awesome work brother
Thank you!
Awesome. Do you make them in automatic transmission?
Damn that’s pretty. Is a PTO switch on the dash a dealer install or does it need to be equipped from the factory?
either way
I bet it smells good to. Nice Pete.
New Peterbilt smell, look for my fragrance line coming out this fall!
Love it... wish I could afford one
me too
Está bonito el trocke y los clásicos mas
Thanks so much for watching
I’m about to buy the same exact one how are they pulling trailers.is the mpg a big difference because of the mid roof
Who ever has this truck is lucky...Very nice n powerful... Quien sea que tenga este camion es suertudo. Muy bonita y fuerte...
What is the back of cab to center of trunion measurement on this set up?
Nice truck I want one!!
Gorgeous.
Do Pete's have the option of a"drivers lounge" which is essentially table and chair like the cascadia 680 and Volvo?
not right now

Beautiful tractor.
Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching!
Tv set up where would that go and how much room is left if top bunk is left down?
PRETTY TRUCK
have they done all led's on the 389s yet? loved the leds and planned out interior on my 579 when I had one
Not yet
She's gorgeous
He's going to spend more time keeping it clean the hauling with it really nice truck
I was thinking the same thing. I drive i80 too often for any chrome to keep it's luster. Trim it all in matte black for me.
What a nice truck. I'd love to drive one.
Thanks!!
And idea of the mpg difference between the 389 and 579?
Steve show what

On it Joey

in the 150s
A modern classic
Thank you
The chromed-out cars of the '50s and '60s live on...in trucks like this one.
cool Rig and color
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.
I wanna see this in onyx metallic with Seminole paint scheme. beautiful dream rig
agreed!!!!
Very nice truck.
Nice ride!

fuel capacities vary, but yes you could add that tank
Can u add smart air or does peterbiilt have to do it
Nice looking truck
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.
and the Pedals are from a 1979 Tatra from Tschechoslovakia ?

NIce! This thing should be also available in Europe!
i agree
Very nice looking truck. I'd love to see the black one.
Already sold
I'm gonna buy a 389 from you one day. Mark my words.
sharp 579, like your intro, pull toy told you that.9
Thanks

How about the new sleeper Peterbilt has for the 579, with a ton of room for the top bunk, ladder, storage at the top as well as power outlets ?
video as soon as I get one
Good day - I'm new to the industry. How much horsepower does it have and does it come in automatic or only in the manual? Thank again.
I love the 389 but the sleepers on the 389 and 579 are night and day!!
I want to know more about the disk breaks cause I have always had drum and want to know more thanks
I like that steering wheel!!
Its nice
Much nicer than my fleet spec 579
Do you have something similar but on 13 speed? And how much is the cost for that truck.
Can you get that sleeper without the top bunk and do the cabinet package on the back wall.
sure can
I'm not a trucker, but I admire you guys. Can anyone tell me why 2 beds? If your a team, isn't someone always driving?
How many mpg brother?
Awesome truck for long-haul looks very comfortable! But I rather lose some comfort and roll a 389 and look like a badass on the Interstate! 😂
Nice looking. I'm a OTR driver looking to buy my first truck looking around not sure if I want a all New or a Glider upgrade can you help with idea's. But I'm not to much for all the Chrome.

Yes I do
I want this truck and I'm not even a truck driver. LOL
me too
What does this model the way it is right now go for?
I heard you say the 18 speed auto is a 8K upcharge. Does it weigh the same? Can you order it with the 565/2050 package?
yes yes yes
Can u get the smart air on sleeper
Any significant change from the 18's, Steve? Did the price get a bump-up?
no and no

If this truck was a glider kit it would be the perfect truck.
In some peoples eyes yes
Hey Steve, How come the 389s don't have the desk slide in the dash like the 579s,?
its just never been an option
man if i had one, only thing i'd do is...maybe a whale tale for more aero. some yellow bulbs for the fog lights.other than that its a clean rig and will make someone happy&a lot of dough.
Do you have a 2018 Peterbilt 579 13 speed transmission, on pearl white.
Man that's one sexy Truck.👍
Nice TY
