I ain't with an agency, I am more of a freelance VTuber at the moment via Twitch and stream when I can so this info is pretty good if I want to get connected with a company, this very much appreciated.

If you're an indie vtuber and you are applying for corporate, NEVER make a mention or even imply that you are applying for corporate on any form of social media. Vtuber agencies will see that and they will not hire you. If you can't even be trusted to keep an audition for a vtuber corpo secret, they have no faith that you'll be able to keep any plans the company may be having a secret either.
Yep. NEVER say you're applying. NEVER EVER say you got accepted.
Just graduate (or go on indefinite hiatus) and enjoy your new position as an agency Vtuber (it's a lot of work).
@@useraccount333 There are a couple of agency vtubers who have their own indie vtube or content videos on the side that are still active. It's good to check the contract too regarding this and knowing if you have the energy and ability to disconnect both persona for it.
Similar rules (legal ones too) apply even AFTER you leave, graduate, or get terminated from the vtuber agency. Don't mention or slander the vtuber agency, of course

So basically, treat it like you would any other job interview. Only, if your sending in recordings, you dont have to worry about sweating like a pig, stumbling over your words out of sheer terror or being late. Like I ALWAYS do.

Im currently watching as many of your videos as possible because I just finished „To your eternity“ and your videos are the only ones that can distract my sadness
I literally just watched the VOD of you going through audition advice for 2 hours and suddenly I get this summary like half an hour later 💀 (it was worth it though, your PowerPoint skills are notoriously BANGIN)
Despite never really knowing about V-Tubers, I always find these videos extremely entertaining.
For some reason Rin reminds me of like, 2014 Antvenom who would make really thoroughly planned or researched videos.
That and the cadence and style of presentation, for some reason. I dunno why. They’re completely different. I think it’s the way Rin infodumps mildly random but clever things?

Re: failing an audition, keep in mind that Super Nene-chan was rejected two or three times before cover hired her. You might not be what they're looking for right now but circumstances are always subject to change.
“Don’t script an interview.” This works well for interviews in any other job outside of Vtubing as well. It’s how I somehow convinced a team that i had an actual medical license

@@useraccount333 Hololive got started because a pair of highschool girls wanted gear to start streaming so they got into contact with a 2 person startup who was planning to make a 3D streaming platform despite their only product being a janky VR Ping Pong game. That's not what I considered to be a normal origin story for a talent agency of any kind.
to be fair, normal is based on majority. most vtuber companies are normal vtuber companies so far.
but they certainly aren't normal idol companies, that's for sure
Hey, just a quick question about applying auditions (as someone who's interested in becoming a VTuber)
What types of things should I put in my auditions? Like should I state my name, if I'm in school or not, and what type of games I play?
I also about the agency provided models. Do you describe what you want the character to look like (or send in a reference image), or do they just decide for me. Like they just hand me a model and are like "ok this is your model now, no questions asked." Or a mix of the two?
Sorry if all of this was a lot. I'm very interested in this line of work, but I have no idea what to do for the audition process-

All the agencies i find are either focusing on female vtubers or vtubers that represent female characters, ofc i have 2 years until i can audition so hopefully that'll change by the time i can audition

Hmm it’s funny because everyone I watched before Rin told me to script my audition. (I did that for the last audition I did and I did not get in) I feel like it might be better if I didn’t now that I think about it. I’m stumbling over my words and forgetting what I’m saying mid sentence like 80% of the time, and I honestly think that that might just be more attractive than me reading a script and sounding like I have my thoughts together.
I want to be a v-tuber(s), but not at a company. Still don't understand the agencies though, but almost everything I do know is from you.
I mean Indie Vtuber was an option if you don't want to be bound by restrictions, both have it benefits and downside

The real pro tip is to just get scouted like Rin and never have to go through the application process in the first place

I hope I can start streaming soon. Part of me is still a lil scared of putting myself out there, but the rest of me is excited to. It's like how I imagine skydiving would feel. I just wish someone would push me out of the plane right now.
