One thing I adore about Tao's mom is that she knew Elle pre transition and yet she is so excited and supportive of her and Tao's relationship. She doesn't question Tao about it, she simply adores them. That in itself is extremely refreshing to see.

Ben’s apology is so telling of why people go back to abusive relationships. They say these wonderful things and appear so sincere but it’s just to appease their victim. Also, the only reason he thought to apologize was because he saw Nick’s coming out post. He’s manipulative and I’m so happy Charlie saw Ben for who he is.
Yan Xu is such a blueprint for parenthood and I’m so glad her and Tao have each other, honestly the best examples of allyship we could have wished for ❤

i agree!! tara did have an evolution from season 1 to the 2nd. she felt stronger to show her love for darcy in public, she tried so hard to communicate with her, to find out about her problem, she supported isaac when he was feeling lonely in his friend group, she talked to charlie about her problem with darcy and listened to charlie's feelings, she supported elle with her thing with tao, i love her close friendship with nick...like all you can say about her are good things, she's beautiful and adorable and too underrated ;(

I knew what you were debating the second you paused on Imogene and I whispered “do it” right before you put her at the top 😭 Nick and Charlie are my children so them being favs goes without being said, but this season Imogene and Tao really turned it out for me. The acting, character progression, and comedic timing were all perfection for those two.
As someone who has been an Imogen stan since day one, I’m very pleased to see her placement in this list and also that everyone else is coming round to her character

I don't agree with putting Ben in Meh, Needs Work. I might put Harry there before Ben. Harry stood up for Nick and Charlie at the Eiffel Tower, apologized to them and explicitly stated exactly what he was apologizing for (albeit with the goal of being let into the party), and took "no" for an answer when they wouldn't let him in. Ben, on the other hand, harassed Charlie online, stalked him to make his "apology", and didn't actually understand what it was that he had done to Charlie that was bad before Charlie spelled it out to him. When Charlie asked if Ben remembered the first time he kissed him, Ben smiled before Charlie pointed out that he had done so without asking for consent first and talked about how Ben's abuse impacted his mental health. He didn't actually understand what it was that he had done wrong, and therefore his apology holds very little weight. But maybe now that Charlie has spelled out for him what he did wrong and why it was harmful, maybe now Ben might have a chance at real redemption, away from Charlie.

Liking both heartstopper and young royals, I would reaaaally recommend the norwegian show SKAM. It's a few years older than these shows, but really really good. season 3 is brilliant, but I really like the other ones as well.

For me, I would swap Tara with Mr Farook. Tara was amazing this season. I would move Charlie's mom moves up 2 rows to cute. She was just being a MOM and let's face it, Charlie was not doing his school work, and violated his grounding. After the dinner party, she says Nick is a nice boy and goes as far as to plan on inviting Sarah and Nick to their house. Now that is some growth. I think HARRY deserves to move up one rung. He did defend the boys on the Eiffel Tower and defended Imogen at the dinner table. The fact that he apologized at the door, and clamed to know better now at the door... I think he might actually be growing up. (I wonder what his back story is). The rest you have spot on....
Edit: nevermind about Isaac, I commented this before Brad moved him up to cmon nicholas 😂✌️ Personally I would switch Ben and Harry bc Ben can go and luckily he is actually not coming back. That was a BS apology, he forced Charlie to listen, once again ignored his boundaries and was the delulu queen of the season overall. Harry and Isaac would both go up a category for me personally bc Isaac 1) really got him told and Harry actually heard him I feel like and tried to be better where he saw the opportunity to be better and 2) Isaac's entire character arc is building so beautifully and I can't wait to see more of him. Harry needs a shit ton of work and he's a horrible person don't get me wrong but I do see potential for growth bc I think his behavior is grown out of ignorance. Ben's is grown out of fear and fear of himself which means he has no respect for his own boundaries and unfortunately not for others either. I can't see him evolving past that before he enters adulthood and leaves his parents home. Like Charlie said: I really hope he becomes a better person and I hope he let's himself find love one day but I don't wanna see it.
Well done! I enjoyed your placements! I'm so happy you've come around on Imogen and Tao and Mr Farouk! My only personal big flip would be Harry and Ben. Harry was a bully, but he now understands and acknowledges what he did wrong, and is actively changing for the better. Whereas Ben was controlling and abusive, he still deflects blame and recentres valid criticism about assault to straw man arguments about his sexuality, that apology was pure manipulation. But, I know you're a Sebastian Croft stan so that was always going to happen 😂
People say Harry and Ben should switch places - I think they both belong in "needs work" because when it comes down to it, they are still kids. Stupid fuckin' kids, but there is so much room for improvement and growth. They'd have to work hard for it, but they COULD get better. David was my most hated character this time around, because unlike those two, he IS a fucking adult, he is a goddamn grown-up, acting like that? Awh hell naw! The things he did are just unforgiveable!
I would have put Imogen in the exact same place for reading Ben for filth at the Paris Dinner Table! One person I would have changed on the tier list is Charlie's mom to Needs Work just because at the end of the dinner party you could see her starting to come around after seeing what Nick was dealing with in his own family and I think it kind of lit a fire under her because she doesn't want to put Charlie thru what Nick is going thru with his dad and brother. She also planted the seed to have Nick and his mom over to their place in a couple of weeks which I think took her out of It's a No From Me.

I love Imogen. I remember seeing her in season one and was a little sad that such a pretty human was telling lies and hanging with the dickheads like Ben and Harry. But in season 2 she really turned around and became just an amazing friend to the group. And the little hints of something with Sahar made me so giddy. I think she is truly amazing and beautiful and I love that she is at the top of your list. She is for sure my favorite character and I can't wait to see more of her.
Also with Imogene “CMON NICHOLAS” Is her line too so it’s just right. I love Imogene but tori has my heart! Jenny Walser has my heart. (That’s the actor for tori)🤍

I think the most powerful message for young people in this series is, there’s NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE IN THE EXPERIENCE OF NAVIGATING SCHOOL OR LOVE BASED ON THE GENDER OF WHO YOU LIKE. Great people are great people and assholes are assholes. It makes no difference and it shouldn’t be the grand social topic it is. No one should care who the next person is attracted to. It doesn’t even slightly define who you are as a human. The faster we get THERE… the better we will be as a community.

HARD AGREE ON IMOGEN. I liked her in season one, knew she didnt deserve all the hate she got but MAN she slayed season two. Her break up with ben is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show and she was such a lovely bright sunshine in every scene. And im truthing her as lesbian so hard, as a lesbian myself i can smell the comphet from a mile away and im so excited to see where they go with her in s3.

Liking both heartstopper and young royals, I would reaaaally recommend the norwegian show SKAM. It's a few years older than these shows, but really really good. season 3 is brilliant, but I really like the other ones as well.

For me, I would swap Tara with Mr Farook. Tara was amazing this season. I would move Charlie's mom moves up 2 rows to cute. She was just being a MOM and let's face it, Charlie was not doing his school work, and violated his grounding. After the dinner party, she says Nick is a nice boy and goes as far as to plan on inviting Sarah and Nick to their house. Now that is some growth. I think HARRY deserves to move up one rung. He did defend the boys on the Eiffel Tower and defended Imogen at the dinner table. The fact that he apologized at the door, and clamed to know better now at the door... I think he might actually be growing up. (I wonder what his back story is). The rest you have spot on....

Personally I would switch Ben and Harry bc Ben can go and luckily he is actually not coming back. That was a BS apology, he forced Charlie to listen, once again ignored his boundaries and was the delulu queen of the season overall. Harry and Isaac would both go up a category for me personally bc Isaac 1) really got him told and Harry actually heard him I feel like and tried to be better where he saw the opportunity to be better and 2) Isaac's entire character arc is building so beautifully and I can't wait to see more of him. Harry needs a shit ton of work and he's a horrible person don't get me wrong but I do see potential for growth bc I think his behavior is grown out of ignorance. Ben's is grown out of fear and fear of himself which means he has no respect for his own boundaries and unfortunately not for others either. I can't see him evolving past that before he enters adulthood and leaves his parents home. Like Charlie said: I really hope he becomes a better person and I hope he let's himself find love one day but I don't wanna see it.

Well done! I enjoyed your placements! I'm so happy you've come around on Imogen and Tao and Mr Farouk! My only personal big flip would be Harry and Ben. Harry was a bully, but he now understands and acknowledges what he did wrong, and is actively changing for the better. Whereas Ben was controlling and abusive, he still deflects blame and recentres valid criticism about assault to straw man arguments about his sexuality, that apology was pure manipulation. But, I know you're a Sebastian Croft stan so that was always going to happen 😂
People say Harry and Ben should switch places - I think they both belong in "needs work" because when it comes down to it, they are still kids. Stupid fuckin' kids, but there is so much room for improvement and growth. They'd have to work hard for it, but they COULD get better.
David was my most hated character this time around, because unlike those two, he IS a fucking adult, he is a goddamn grown-up, acting like that? Awh hell naw! The things he did are just unforgiveable!

I would have put Imogen in the exact same place for reading Ben for filth at the Paris Dinner Table! One person I would have changed on the tier list is Charlie's mom to Needs Work just because at the end of the dinner party you could see her starting to come around after seeing what Nick was dealing with in his own family and I think it kind of lit a fire under her because she doesn't want to put Charlie thru what Nick is going thru with his dad and brother. She also planted the seed to have Nick and his mom over to their place in a couple of weeks which I think took her out of It's a No From Me.
Imogen is such an icon and she deserves that spot 💅🏼

He "liked" Charlie, but he also bullied Charlie bc he was an easy target. Once Nick got in the picture he only dared to bully Charlie whenever he found him alone.
Tara is my favorite character because she is the best friend there is and is so consistent but not everyone can be in come on Nicholas so I understand your placement completely. She has had no development this season because she didn’t really need to yet, she was just the support of the group, so paris dinner table makes sense 🥰

I love Imogen. I remember seeing her in season one and was a little sad that such a pretty human was telling lies and hanging with the dickheads like Ben and Harry. But in season 2 she really turned around and became just an amazing friend to the group. And the little hints of something with Sahar made me so giddy. I think she is truly amazing and beautiful and I love that she is at the top of your list. She is for sure my favorite character and I can't wait to see more of her.

I think the most powerful message for young people in this series is, there’s NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE IN THE EXPERIENCE OF NAVIGATING SCHOOL OR LOVE BASED ON THE GENDER OF WHO YOU LIKE. Great people are great people and assholes are assholes. It makes no difference and it shouldn’t be the grand social topic it is. No one should care who the next person is attracted to. It doesn’t even slightly define who you are as a human. The faster we get THERE… the better we will be as a community.

HARD AGREE ON IMOGEN. I liked her in season one, knew she didnt deserve all the hate she got but MAN she slayed season two. Her break up with ben is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show and she was such a lovely bright sunshine in every scene. And im truthing her as lesbian so hard, as a lesbian myself i can smell the comphet from a mile away and im so excited to see where they go with her in s3.
