this problem has been happening to me thanks!
Tiktok has a certain resolution cap based on devices with h.264 decoders or vp9 decoders. Of course vp9 decoding for TikTok (if they have that support,) will have a cap of 1080p but for h.264, will only have a 540p cap (h.264 baseline) both are at 60Hz (frames/seconds)
nobody is talking about it! Vp9 is used always for channels with big audience. But if you are not that famous, you'll have to face h.264 with low quality

I posted a video to tiktok it was fine but it was taken down for the new copyright with audios, so i added a different non copyrighted audio and now that clip is just always like 240p
this is getting confusing now. other people have said to export your videos at 1080p 30fps since that is the current resolution where tiktok uses minimum compression

i think it depend of where are you from cuz i noticed people from some countries always get good qualities, tiktok algorithm is weird, i feel like some accounts are made for getting good qualities and others not i also noticed that it depend of the device
When i upload an edit with the same rendering on my old iphone 7 the quality looks really good but when i upload it on my iphone 12 the quality looks really bad

Does Quicktime actually make a difference tho I found it that AVI was way better cs it doesn't compress the quality and renders as it is (Of course the file size is much bigger but you can always convert to mp4 afterwards)

Where can i find clip with good quality ?
Uploading a 200mb video to TikTok will just make TikTok force compress the video due to its insanely high file size. Also, uploading from pc doesn’t make the edit quality higher, instead it will do the exact opposite. Since there’s no desktop version of TikTok it’s a web version you have to upload from and it’s pretty obvious that the web version won’t be able to upload a file as good as an app version on a phone for example. TikTok was designed for handheld devices and therefore it will work a lot better in terms of uploading on a phone than a web version.
nope upload vid on pc on private for 5mins then unprivate it on your phone. This method stopped my edits losing quality. Also good internet connection helps a ton. Vid will be blurry at the start then after a couple hours it’ll go to its original quality.

Bro i uploaded on pc a lot , my video files from media encoder are also like 200mb , after uploading on pc the quality drops a looot ... tikrok video never looks like the original video .
It could be its too big, I import videos using Lossless format and then using Handbrake to convert it to MP4 with rlly good quality and small files

the only comment im going to leave is how cracked up the bit rate, and the file size went to the moon, it was 102 it became 200, bit rate should not be at max in fact it should be less than half like 18 or somthing, the way i understand it is the larger the file the more comprestion, while bit rate doesnt affect the quality that much it sure does affect it size
