- A little introduction….
My names lee, I am in the united kingdom, and I am obsessed in old casio watches, mainly resin, digital watches, from the 1980s and and 1990s. Over the years I have collected over 300 of them,
On this channel I will be displaying some of the rarest casio watches ever made, most we have forgotten about. My collection consist of mostly 80s era and some in the 90s.
I will of course feature some modern day Casio if they are amazing.

I have the a500w and actually use all five alarms, really convenient for me. I was born in 1987 and it would be cool to own the a300u. Neat watches👍🏼👍🏼
@@keganwallace8753 go on my website. I have on there for sale.
I dont understand how it is possible that the A500 is thicker than the A300 if our technology is far ahead from 1987 ‘s technology..On the other hand the 1987’s bracelet is mote beautiful ftom my point of view.
I'm thinking the original has a stainless steel case, while the reissue has a plastic case (painted in silver). Thus the original width case might have ended up too weak when cast in plastic, so they made it thicker to be stronger.
The old one doesn't have a light whereas the new one has a very good light. Thus, this addition increases the width. 4:19
Amazing ! I like the A300 most .
I’ve 7 World Time watches - From AE-1000 to AE-3000. Finally I decided to pull trigger on A500 !
I like the looks/dial layout of A300 though.
I have this A500 with blue map too (it's also available with grey map)
A300 is better because of slimmer metal case.
But I like the yellow light on A500.
For casio worldtime feature I also have an ABX-53 Twincept. I like that map option too even it's cover analog hands a little.
A tough one here... I usually go for the old piece, but I Must say that the recent one is pretty cool too.
I like the borders on the maps
Better on the vintage one.
Cooler beeps on the old one too.
I mean … older is always better when it comes to well
Preserved objects!
Both nice watches!
Thanks for watching and commentating
I much prefer the old model, seems to look more slimline plus it has a nicer braclet and multifunction alarms (but no light)
The newer model seems to only have daily alarms although the light is a bonus, thanks for the video, nice one
I agree with you
The display on the older model looks much more elegant, the digits on the newer one look more clunky.
agreed
🎉🎉 I am a new subscriber to your channel! I am loving all the crazy Casio watches you own. I am slowly falling in love with Casio. I already have 7 lol cheers from NYC!
I like the reissue shows the correct time and date. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I prefer the old Casio watches to the re-issues. This is a good example of this. Casio does need to either use the original tooling to make them exactly the same or reimage them with the height of what they can do today. Look at the a700 which is largely a super thin more polished f91w. Apply the same ethos with these re-issues.
That Timex is awesome.
thanks
Thank you very much for this great video mate.
thanks for watching
Their both nice watches i do like the blue of the new one however the made in Japan statement on the back is undeniably an attraction for me, Casio are making a lot more watches of the older style in reissued models which i am grateful for because prices of originals are out of my budget so would probably go for the newer one based on that,i have the a171 which is so similar to the old casiotron models which i couldn't afford even the trn50 is way out of my price range $899 in NZ or there about, but i got the a171 for $109. Cheers 🍺 bro.
I like them both.
I like the blue world time.
they are nice
BTW. I have the Timex Q LCA Digital reissue. I have the silver and the gold. Bought both. Great one!
Good choice!
I have the A500 its a great watch wear my A1200 more.
They should of made it identical but upgraded the back light to illuminator.
I would even go to making it in Japan and retained the quality materials.
Sure the price would be a lot higher but your buying a classic design.
The only indication of the upgrade would be on the back case - A300b- Illuminator -Made in Japan.
thats be better
Should 'have' not should 'of.'

Is there a way to get a Japan made A500 reissue?
How long is the battery life for a500???
wow what a downgrade, CASIO could make a killing just reissuing some of their classic and more obscure watches
oh yes
The new model looks like a homage of another brand…definitely the one on the left has that classic design
yes
A300 hands down
agree
It's a completely different world we are living in now. 1980s and 2020s is almost another planet differently. Of course a made in Japan exquisite stainless steel Casio is much better (more refined, more elegant, sleeker, better thought out, better done...) than a mass produced chinese version. Of course it will look like a cheap copy. It is a cheap copy. Well, at least is similar to the original and Casio released it. Better than nothing. If Casio would have done a much closer version it would cost 3 or 4 times more nowadays to produce it. But unfortunately it's a whole different world we are living now. And different economy. Too bad. Bring factories back home! (Japan, USA, etc.).

@@Oldcasiocollector lmao seems like a threat
Agree, but back in the day, Japan was the current-day China. Stealing IP and manufacturing western things for less. The main difference being that the Japanese maintained quality, whereas the Chinese are all about profits.
Backlight?
I have the old one A300U it belongs to my father but i couldn't set time someone can help plz
What's the model number of the silver Timex that you showed at 9:30?

I seen vintage watch on eBay for £126.00 but it's in the USA and the export charges are annoying I bet if buy it come total £160 00
Je préfère largement la casio A 300 bien que je possède la casio A 500 mais bon la A 300 est difficile à trouver en bon état ! Merci pour vos vidéos elles sont toutes géniales ;)
Thanks for watching. Hope your a subscriber
Sanda 500 ❤
yes
When shown side by side the A500 looks like a knock-off of the A300. I don't like the the new shape of the digits. The digits on the A300 just scream "genuine Casio" to me. Also I prefer the A/P instead of 24H/PM indicators.
Overall i prefer the original, the light is not that important for me
me too
I like the newer version better
you must be the only one.
I like the bracelet better and I like the Map better.
The new version is more like a cheaper version of the original
thats what u said
What
Your comment does not make any sense watz soo ever
Stop saying 'more sleeker.' It's either sleeker or it isn't. I don't tolerate bad grammar.
ok karen
A300>A500
