@@JohnBongroverfield either work. You're a bit late to trout fishing for lower saluda. Best time to go is the first 2-3 weeks after stocking. May be hard to find them at this point but they are out there!

@@JohnBongroverfield If you have a boat, I would suggest the lakes around columbia. Murray is really great for bass and striper. Monitcello has awesome catfishing and smallmouth. I fish the broad river too down near columbia as well for smallmouth sometimes. This area is hard to find good places to bank fish though so having a kayak or boat can really be a game changer.

I just have cheap 50$ waders from amazon. I don't really own a nice pair.
Where do you park at to access this point? New to the area and trying to get back into fly fishing.
I park within saluda shoals, near the dog park
Those treble hooks do some damage to those trout get into fly fish it’s more fun lol
I do both. Not really concerned about the trout in lower saluda. Striper and fishermen will kill them at some point.
