    Waterworlds an interesting take on melting ice caps but the truth is, if that happened the water level will only be 200 feet higher max. So any land above 200 feet sea level at present will still be there if all the ice melted.

    • @bw0n6
      @bw0n6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I finally watched this movie and found this interview amusing in that he thought he deserved more money for what is in my opinion is one of the lamest sci-fi villain portrayals ever. His "deacon" is completely unconvincing, and his acting and dialogue give no impression that he is living in the post-apocalyptic waterworld at all. Instead his villain seems more like a small casino owner in a mob movie who is more concerned with being cool than running the business. But that is just my take...

    I just watched Waterworld for the first time. Kill thousand of hardworking souls over a one little person makes no moral sense. Three speedboats collide shouldn't result in an explosion. Would have made more sense with the 3 baddies were pushed backward by the impact, and their heads were cut by spinning blade, B movie style. If that movvie came out right after the Clinton years, Al Gore could have talked about it. It was 5 years too early. I think it doesn't sell because the lead man isn't disney enough. It isn't a perfect character that men want to be, and women want to be with. Also people understand driving, but don't understanding living in the sea. Dennis Hopper's character could have abused his own henchmen early in the movie for comedic effect. That didn't happen. Serious plot, cheesy action, uninteresting characters, and not enough blood. Remember how that aussie sailor was put down? Off Camera. Very uninteresting. (Sound aussie to me)
