I was confused. So confused by your actions. But I think I get it now. Piss off the factions. Complete their missions. This ticks the box for the next mission to trigger. But if you shoot their men to piss them off again right before the current mission concludes, it triggers a fail state and offers a reset. If you reset a mission when the following on is already triggered to go, it loads that next one saving travel time and boring conversations. Throw a grenade before verification to skip the animation. Swap weapon before picking up a captive to skip the animation. I can't imagine how many resets missing that shot triggered 35:22 Well done. Did I get that right?
You were right on most counts here, but to skip the animation when picking up a card you actually have to crouch. If you miss the shot at 35:22 its not the end of the world, you just have to get back in your helicopter and fly to where Song lands, it wastes about 40 seconds. Very good explanation of how the contract skip works here, we're pretty sure that's how it works but no one has been able to look at the code and confirm that's what's happening.
If you do a contract warp in one of the face card contracts you can skip the ace mission and go right into the next suit. That's what I'm doing around 31:45 when I kill the journalist in the helicopter
