Now I am not saying I am the first person to have found it .... I am not ....however I am showing how to decode the message for yourselves - have fun and enjoy
Seems pretty straightforward: Bring this and that to here and look at where (whatever is in the middle) points at. Possible triangulation that way I guess.
+Ricardo's Gaming for me it looks like our own ship it looks like a somebody fighting 2 thargoids and the thing down there that looks like a map looks like our mini map down there inside our ship
Seems like you have to take those three items to the two solar systems listed and upload them and once you have done that then the home world or egg will be opened to you! Just a thought!😁
This is what I always wanted space sims to be. Not just fly around and shoot space pirates or blindly following a straight storyline or missions, but this.
I have an app on my phone, using a logarithmic scale I am able to see the lower circle better and the "egg" is also round; have so many issues with audacity, the app I use lets me see the sound on a spectrum "live" which is really helpful seeing these images.
You can do this without spec, audacity can display the acoustic spectrums, you can even play with the min and max frequency displayed so the image doesn't come out all warped.
i love when my video game requires me to download tons of other programs in order to play the game fully. especially when all in game lore and discoveries are practically impossible to find and are usually found by developers.
The left orbits is the ammonium-atom-modell. The right one is the sunsystem of their homeworld. The --I -I- -II is counting on binary (001, 010, 011), means 1,2,3 objects needed to target the way
Dude......thats fuckin MENTAL!!! Man you av been a helluva busy bunny. This is the best vid yet, you've really perfected ya style etc. Top marks n hats off to ya, that image looks great. Mate you've gotta get mad views for this!!!
this reminds me alot of the signals we shot into space or put on those gold discs of our dna and location to our system and such. maybe its thier response
They programmed a puzzle into a game that can only be solved using a spectrum analyser?! That's unbelievable! I'm impressed. Didn't know about this at all!
You need to do a logarithic stretch on the image as the lower section is compressed. It looks like it would expand out to 4 perfect circles. Also there are three binary numbers in the middle (left to right, 1,2,3 : - - I and - I - and - I I).
Thought I recognised the accent :) me too... originally from Alway - living in Llantrisant now (when I'm not in Eravate :D). I'll keep an eye out for you in the black :)
I’ve been playing for about, Well, a LOONG time. This is STILL my go to game. I might get distracted by Red Dead 2 or some fancy but ALWAYS return to ED! Game is the Michelangelo of the game world! The Mona Lisa! I STILL wish for atmospheric planets and on planet alien life’s earth should be a landable planet with all the fixings of Earth.
The 'egg' shapes should be circular. The image looks vertically symmetrical. This is due to the vertical axis (amplitude) in the spectrograph being non-linear. If you can change this in Spek then you should be able to produce an image with perfect circles on it.
The solar system on the right side somewhat looks like ours and the fact that the binary comes out to saying three they could be talking about earth, maybe they are going to attack earth, of course maybe it means they live on the third planet in their solar system as well
The map tells u where 2 get the Probes, Artefact's and Data link. The Map is simply instructions on how to turn the Thargoid Machine on. That's why the Top Globe is the same as the bottom globe. You get the Data Link from there and use them all there.
awesome video, seems to me like if you activate the artifact on this planet (as you did) and then you do the same on the other 2 sites (as described by the number of planets/gas giants on each side), then all 3 sites would send some sort of signal to the "egg"? or mothership? or home world? Should be interesting to try and activate all 3 sites and see if you get something in return.
Elite really needs a built-in spectral analyzer, if Frontier plan to keep going big on them. How awesome it would be if the game automatically generated these sounds to random hidden locations? At the touch of a button, you could record them, and save the decoded image. I dunno, I find it rather dumb that the game's mysteries rely heavily on third-party programs.
It appears to me to depict the thargoids setting out from a location and moving tward the egg, I think it’s more likely the egg is the target location and not the starting location of the thargoid themselfs
Since it is way more advanced, then you need to fiddle with the spectrogram settings. For example by default the "window size" (which is the amount of "steps scanned" from the lowest to the highest selected frequency) is only 256. That's **way** too low. 1024 already would give good results for most things but I usually go for 4096, and often higher if I am basically trying to see the differences in tone that are 2 hz or lower. To get a clear picture you will also have to work with the gain and range. You'll want the algorithm to obviously be frequencies... there are different "window types", play around and see which works best for you. For example playing around with the spectrogram settings allowed me to find out a lot of stuff about the guardian ruins' obelisks extremely high-pitched code they transmit... unfortunately i never managed to thoroughly decode what it was supposed to mean, but playing around with the settings did allow me to find out a lot about them...
Would be better if these tools were available ingame, rather than having to log out and convert the signal into a .WAV file and running it through a spectral analyser. Currently, it's either that, or logging out and looking at the Canon forum thread/watching TH-cam videos. Stupid design, imo.
Yeh, they just need to spend a year or so running around shooting rocks on the surface of some barren moons that look just like every other barren moon in the entire game, so they can get some self important engineer to make some crap guns in the hope that one of them will be good enough to kill a thargoid.

I know - it does add an additional dimension to the game ....

Cool !
Hanny Benny and apparently one of them is Merope

David Kennedy thanks Dave
That picture shows us how to use a Thargoid link to make it work like a “laser pointer”, so we can see what systems they’ll attack ;)
this reminds me alot of the signals we shot into space or put on those gold discs of our dna and location to our system and such. maybe its thier response
SumGuy NamedJamie it is similar

it is a good 'ol mystery

Awesome :) You Cardiff or Newport?
newps

Yep you are right !
This looks to be logarithmic, with more stretching near the bottom.
Nice one, thanks for showing your method, always wondered how it was done !
Thanks Steve - my pleasure - remember to Like and Subscribe and check back for more videos

@@RicardosGaming id love to be part of it, if you plan on executing it C:

totally agree !
has anyone figuerd out what the system on the righthand side of the hidden map is ?
Oh shit... Awesome. You found all this yourself?
It appears to me to depict the thargoids setting out from a location and moving tward the egg, I think it’s more likely the egg is the target location and not the starting location of the thargoid themselfs
Wow, just that. Wow. The signal. Wow. Ok, impressive dude, seriously impressive.
Tom Mortley glad you liked it
Has the home world even been found yet? Or maybe something close to it?
as far as I know - not yet
Is it Morze code betwin four elipses? If yes it is mean GKD - General Kronecker Delta, it is math function. What it could means?
I knew it had to do something with the thargoid homeworld or at least more bases
Yep that's the thought at least
Damn! That's why I love ED
I know its good INIT
Why do you need a spectrum analyzer separate from Audacity? Audacity has a rather powerful spectrum analyzer built in...
i could not get it to work for some reason

Well done 👍
Looks like a Dyson sphere?
Nicholas Klintworth which bit ?
Ricardo's Gaming Channel the actual map, the egg shaped object that everything is pointing to.
Please submit it to the Reddit sub if you haven't already! :D
lel. this has been discovered a few months back already

It's an Easter egg.
Sure is
Did we ever really get any answers?
still waiting are we not ?
Seems like a map of where they have colonized. Either way, the Empire has thier 'TOP MEN' working on weapons to defeat them even as we speak!
Top Men!

we live in hope!
didn't children of raxxla do this a month ago?
they may have - I have been in Colonia for a while and just got back - I always operate onthe premise I am not the first
It isn't an egg that is just distortion i.imgur.com/tX61yyV.png?1
Samuel Mackrill yeah good point I realised that after I put the vid up .... would have been good if it was though may have shown the home world.....
so what is it?
mavi asura the comments suggest that it is a map to their home world
