That heavily weathered B-17 is my favourite display at the show. 😍 Would love to master those techniques for faded and chipped paint on models of well used aircraft.
Have to agree with you on that MiG-23, very nice looking model. Thanks for sharing, lots of great stuff on display. That chipped to the extreme B-17 is something else too.
It was a great show indeed. Excellent builds. Andy's Hobby Headquarters was there and he posted a video on his sight, so perhaps more modellers from the U.S. will show up next year.
This was my first time going to a model show and I was blown away by everything. I was surprised by how many vendors were there and how reasonable the prices were on so many items. I guess I'm used to the inflated prices I often see at SciFi cons. It was cool to see models I'd watched TH-cam videos about in person. I wish I had the chance to meet you and say “Hey."
Even with the lighting being not exactly studio, that USMC SBD at 1:38 is gorgeous! The USN Yellow Wings livery is a personal favorite, the model is well painted, the 'in a dive' pose is a nice touch, and I like that the aircrew is present and accounted for.
Great summary Chris. Pics look great, other than some depth of field focus issues. Sorry I missed the show, but glad to hear that those who were able to go had a great time. Agree that the lighting can be a little dodgy at that venue, but the only real “complaint” I have about Heritagecon (and complaint is a stronger word than what I’m feeling) is that it really really really needs to be a two-day show).
Hey thanks for the show tour. 👏 I'd have to agree with you, the 72nd scale 'Betty' is gorgeous ... I didn't quite catch the modellers name, Steve ... ? I'd like to see more from him! Cheers
It was a great show indeed. Top quality models on display and top quality vendors.
Good to see you.
You too!

Great report and footage of the show. Some really amazing builds. Hope to make it down there one year.

There at 2:53, interesting way to do the X-15 canopy so as to make cockpit viewable, I like that!
Really cool model show. 👍
Really nice models.👍

Отличный обзор, подробно показано! Спасибо.

The Betty was by Steve Hustad
@@ModelAirplaneMaker thank you
"promosm" 🤪
Почему Миг-23 выглядит глупо? Выглядит грозно, красивый самолет. А вот сколько нелепых самолетов у англичан, американцев-много.
I agree that the MiG-23 looks menacing
