Alright, so finally had mine installed in my genesis. It does require the factory keyfob in the proximity in the vehicle otherwise after hitting the brake after a few seconds the engine dies. Also, if you have the drone mobile, do NOT try to remote start the car while it's already running (as in you've already taken over or have turned it on normally). If you do this, it will mess up your push button ignition system making it difficult for you to turn off the car at all. In this case I had to push the button several times and then push the brake and the button and the car finally turned off. It definitely does something to the computer in the car. Other than that, everything else from I've seen seems to work like factory. The only quirk I've noticed is when taking over if I don't wait long enough the backup camera won't pop up but the radio screen will. This can be solved on mine by waiting 3-5 seconds after hitting the brake before driving off. Also, battery drain remains to be seen for me. Can you leave the vehicle sitting for over a week and come back and start it right back up?

Mine doesn’t do that, I would check with installer. I only need the COMPUSTAR fob if I choose. Your installer may have set it up that way as a safety feature
Here's my question, what about if you remote start it out of the vehicle and walk up to it, and it unlocks via proximity sensor. Do you have to hit the unlock button again to drive off?
This is concerning because if you unlock it and someone beats you to your vehicle they can drive off without the keyfob. Honestly it should really require the factory keyfob be inside the vehicle to drive off in my opinion.
Yeah, but let’s say you remote start. You’re on your way to your car and you unlock it and before you get there someone comes out of nowhere and jumps in the car. Wouldn’t they be able to drive off because you unlocked it using the Compustar remote? Or are you saying the Compustar remote sends a signal like the factory keyfob does? Im confused.
@@alright272this is where the proximity sensor comes into play. No need to unlock your vehicle using the key fob buttons as your vehicle will automatically unlock for you when you’re in close range. Secure take over is 45 seconds. If your vehicle is unlocked and someone beats you within 45 seconds, car is theirs. Unless you have a shutdown switch (which is possible and recommended for PTS systems), your car is free reign if it’s remote started and unlocked with a compustar fob.

if you have an ez pass bag you can out it in there the car wont detect the key

Simply push start/stop. It’s shuts off with fob or not if you push stop button

I don’t use the proximity feature but I would image you have to hit the unlock again manually but maybe not, I’m not sure
no the proximity unlock work just like how you unlock your car its basically a sensor that unlocks the car you just get in and drive off

Yes. Without the fob in the car with the potential thief it should cut off as soon as he steps on the brake.

You probly would have to keep the red key with you, and just use the COMPUSTAR fob to set the alarm
