In short, the video was inspired by the movie Black Swan (especially the art film) and the lyrics by a quote from ballet dancer Martha Grahams saying that a dancer dies twice, the first death is when they stop dancing. Here BTS (I think RM wrote most of this one) transpose the concept to themselves, and talk about their shadows and haunting fear to lose their drive to make music, what if it doesn't make their heart beat anymore, what if they can't perform anymore then that would their 1st death. But in the midst of all these fears and questions they realize that they turned to music and that it is the only thing they have! It's about finding what art means to one's self/ to an artist. I believe what makes BTS stand out from other groups and artists in general is their lyricsm and the stories they tell! And yes definitely Dynamite is catchy and it was the right track to release at the beginning of the pandemic but it's not what turn ppl into ARMY! They didn't write Dynamite actually but usually RM has the bigger hand on songwriting and each rapper writes their own verse as well. To focus on the flow and cadence is what draws you in it's just nice and simple but really the beauty lies in their lyricsm! Our Jimin is Black Swan he's the shadow behind Suga too. Jimin is a classically trained dancer and was top student. He's so elegant and graceful. There is nothing he and BTS can't do they have everything covered with all 7 Kings. There's a behind the scenes of Jimins parts in black Swan too that's really worth the watch, his professionalism and striving for perfection is everything. Can you imagine this at the Grammys. This is Grammy worthy. The Grammy panel don't understand just how amazing BTS are.

I enjoy your reactions but you missed the end of Black Swan. One thing about BTS MVs, they are seldom over when you think, even if the screen goes black for a few seconds. This is really important as you get further into their work in the BU. I think you'll also enjoy some live performances of Black Swan. There are quite a few and each is a bit different with the later ones being most complex.

The j-hope to suga transition in a verse is a BTS song staple. We love when we get a strong SOPE verses. Black Sawn is a good example of that but you can find SOE verses in many many songs. Also, many many many people had this as their first BTS.
