Just because the translations are simple doesn't necessarily mean that the lyrics are simple as well. There's so much lost in the translation from their language to English and we're missing a whole lot of poetry. A lot of times, we even need to research and turn to expert translators amongst us fans for us to get the full context of what BTS are usually trying to say in their songs. BTS members - especially Namjoon and Yoongi, are lyrical geniuses. It's just too bad that we are not native Hangeul speakers. Their poetry is exceptional and we are unfortunately missing out. ☹

When listening to Mic Drop, you need to understand the context and history of the band. The song was released in 2017 as a response to haters because BTS had been bullied since their debut. but then they began to receive recognition and win various prizes. but it’s only 2017 and the haters continue their work, the guys have to go through a lot of different crap. But they performed with Mic Drop at the Korean Music Awards and it was very cool. and it is very dangerous for them, as for a group that is just beginning its journey to the top. 💜

Dynamite to Mic Drop will give you Whiplash. LOL! They’ve been around for ten years and have more than 300 songs in their discography and they’re all over the place! I’d recommend Black Swan next or Blood Sweat and Tears if you want to continue to be baffled about how it’s all the same group! They also sing and rap in Korean, English and Japanese. If you get into their solo work it gets even more wild! You never really know what to expect!
Yep, it's the same group LOL, BTS can do it all and do it well. My recommendations would be Fake Love, Black Swan, or ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima. If you liked Dreamers you actually might want to check out Idol though because to me it sounds like a world cup song.

The translation is adapted to be understood by English speakers better, it's not literal translation because it would be too hard to understand from the worldplays and references at stuffs. That's why the lyrics seem simpler than they actually are (the Korean rap parts)

They are so good and so beloved all over the world they do every type of music and listen to Wildflower that RM, their leader, just put out. He does mostly Rap. The whole album called Indigo is amazing and there are two videos out with two of the songs. RM is a genius with an IQ of 148. Their best dancer, J-Hope is known worldwide and he raps also and has an album and a mix tape. All amazing. Suga is a producer and song writer and you would love his individual work as well. Actually, there are a lot of doubles and triples in the korean lyrics, however that is impossible to translate properly. There are a few ways we get the proper interpretation/translations of them - the blogs muish and doolset for example. Some twitter and youtube channels dedicated to interpretation of their songs (and other korean songs). Basically the fandom created their own resources in order to get over the language barrier (and knowledge barrier, cause they reference a lot of movies, books, philosophy, history etc)
You aren't even ready for the three members that make up the rap line. Two of them came from the underground rap scene in Korea prior to being signed to BTS. The third member to be signed came from a hip hop dance background and learned to rap after joining the group. The other four or vocalists/dancers also.

The 3 all English songs (Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance) are disco songs they brought out simply to bring some fun to everyone during Covid. Not at all their usual. And although I like these as well their other stuff is even better; as Mic Drop clearly demonstrated. Mic drop is one of my favs. First song of BTS I ever heard. Got me hook, line and sinker 😀💜

They’ve been around for ten years and have more than 300 songs in their discography and they’re all over the place! I’d recommend Black Swan next or Blood Sweat and Tears if you want to continue to be baffled about how it’s all the same group! They also sing and rap in Korean, English and Japanese.
If you get into their solo work it gets even more wild! You never really know what to expect!

The more you listen to their music, the more it surprises you. Bts is so talented it's almost scary but you just can't help but love them.

Ah I love Dreamers too. The live perf was incredible. The MV is gorgeous too. Jungkook and BTS are incredible live performers. They are meant for the stage. They love music so they have many genres. Their roots are hip hop, rnb, funk and they pay hommage to the artists that inspire them. Watch any concert perf of a BTS song and you ll love it 100 times more. Try Dynamite at PTD concerts or MIC Drop at ytc Busan concert 😭

The translation is adapted to be understood by English speakers better, it's not literal translation because it would be too hard to understand from the worldplays and references at stuffs. That's why the lyrics seem simpler than they actually are (the Korean rap parts)

The difference is that they wrote Mic Drop. Some British people wrote Dynamite. Mic Drop is much more authentic BTS, to me, but every song they do is different and unique...

They sang songs in english to try and get a grammy. Now I don't think they care about the Grammy. They are so good and so beloved all over the world they do every type of music and listen to Wildflower that RM, their leader, just put out. He does mostly Rap. The whole album called Indigo is amazing and there are two videos out with two of the songs. RM is a genius with an IQ of 148. Their best dancer, J-Hope is known worldwide and he raps also and has an album and a mix tape. All amazing. Suga is a producer and song writer and you would love his individual work as well. BTS is just amazing.

Actually, there are a lot of doubles and triples in the korean lyrics, however that is impossible to translate properly. There are a few ways we get the proper interpretation/translations of them - the blogs muish and doolset for example. Some twitter and youtube channels dedicated to interpretation of their songs (and other korean songs). Basically the fandom created their own resources in order to get over the language barrier (and knowledge barrier, cause they reference a lot of movies, books, philosophy, history etc)
You aren't even ready for the three members that make up the rap line. Two of them came from the underground rap scene in Korea prior to being signed to BTS. The third member to be signed came from a hip hop dance background and learned to rap after joining the group. The other four or vocalists/dancers also.

BTS have great variety in their music. Many different genres. And IMHO, Dynamite is not a real representation of their music. The 3 all English songs (Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance) are disco songs they brought out simply to bring some fun to everyone during Covid. Not at all their usual. And although I like these as well their other stuff is even better; as Mic Drop clearly demonstrated. Mic drop is one of my favs. First song of BTS I ever heard. Got me hook, line and sinker 😀💜

You mention their choreography….this is not even their hardest choreo. You mention their rap….this is not even close to their best. There are 3 rappers in the group, you must listen to their songs as well as rap solo songs.
They’re so talented they can go across various genres and it’s a hit every time! There is so much more of BTS that will blow your mind! I’m sure us ARMY is excited to watch all your reactions to them.
Rap line is RM, Suga, and JHope. I suggest first rap solo mv to react to is “Daechwita” by Agust D aka Suga. And the JHope headlined this years Lollapalooza! You have to watch that too! Just like Jungkook held his own on stage without his BTS brothers, JHope also lit his stage up!! 🔥
Their live performances will blow you away! And please watch their most recent (and last --for now because of military) concert. Yet To Come in Busan. It’s an amazing 2 hours that was streamed live in WeVerse. I suggest you watch that version just yo see the entire venue and realize the production power of their performances. For reactions purposes the concert has videos a broken up where it’s two songs at a time. I suggest the intro, they start with “Mic Drop” and “Run BTS” (never performed before). And then rap line performs “Ugh” and “Cypher: Killer”
One of the top favorites too is the mv “ON KINETIC MANIFESTO”. They performed it on Jimmy Fallon too. And “Home” is underrated great song that has no mv but performed on Jimmy Fallon as well.
