What a beautiful and honest conversation. Great to know that Tony has kept his feet on the ground despite his success, and acknowledges God in your lives. Job well done, Mom. There was a time when I was broke, I couldn't afford to pay rent. I had no one else to turn to but also didn't want to reach out to my family. It took me years to realize that after all the people you know have turned their backs on you, it is your family who will always be there for you despite yourself. My family has kept me grounded; wouldn't trade them for the world. Definitely could relate to what Tony said - everything we had to go through took us to how we got here. I admire you both. 💙

Watching this now and it’s so good that you both had this discussion. It’s so healthy and the greatest way to stop those patterns you (Angel) spoke of. Angel can speak about her journey, having been affected by her mom and breaking that cycle. We need this in our generation/community. It couldn’t have been easy to go through and it’s great she can speak out and help others .
I love how they both communicated in an honest, adult way. It was very refreshing seeing such raw emotion and understanding they have for each other. You guys honestly remind me of my relationship with my mom. In the first 8 minutes, I could totally relate to Tony where at a certain point, even though we are at such a young age, we understand that there is no point in fixing or staying when the spark is no longer there. I am happy that my mom took the same decision and whatever we have been through, we lived through it and it made us who we are today. I adore you guys and I have so much respect for Tony now.
