Great video. I have a Piper Tomahawk PA 38-112. I have the EDM 700 Engine monitor and have used lean of peak operations. And leaned to 3.8GPH from 5.5GPH. But never used mag check as you have shown. Will conduct Run-up and in-flight mag check in normalized mode to check electrical system and see if Mags are balanced or timed correctly and other issues with electrical system.
Please identify the runway you are using by its proper designation. “Taking the active” is low in information density, and not especially helpful. Thanks.
could do with the camera looking at the display as you are explaining what you are doing and why - currently you are telling people what you are doing then looking at the instrument afterwards.. There is too much looking around and looking at you both. Why? needless filming. Otherwise this would be a fantastic video.and demonstration. Too much self filming than explanation and demonstration.
There is little explanation as to what you are doing what you are what you are leaning, what buttons you are pressing. and there is more filming of the people and whats around them than what I believe you are supposed to be showing. Shame. This could have been much better. For example. Always have the camera on the Instrument. As you demonstrate LOP, explain what you are pressing, what you want to display, and what you are doing to achieve by doing this. Always showing the instrument display. Not the pilots or the whole of the instrument panel because it can hardly be seen seen to the daylight outside.

Great video
Great video! Do you think you could add a tag for in flight mag check? Not many of these videos on youtube.
One of the texts on screen @ 9:23 stated 'high ICP'. What is that?

This video is about three years old and the phrase has become a pet peeve of mine. You won’t ever hear it on videos the last couple years.
Taking Off I just discovered you through Brian with a ‘y’, and wanted to begin at the beginning of your vids. Thank you for your reply.

Appreciate the notes. I agree- next time I’ll do a picture in picture of the JPI throughout.
Sorry for being negative. But I liked the video, but would have loved it .
