I had the pleasure of meeting Franky and the band in person at the hotel where they were staying in Würzburg, Germany. The whole team was very relaxed and friendly without any allures. I saw three shows with them in Germany back in the 80's. Its sad to see these times have long gone, so I appreciate these videos with live performances of them. Maze are really distinct for their own style that cannot be confused. I wished I could relive their shows.

No one can play the key board like Voo/Woo. The I missed the old band.. Its just knowing who were there when it all started. I really am sad that Mr. Beverly and new management didn't come together with an agreement. You never turn your back on who held it down with you through tough times. I think your new management was wrong how they treated the one and only Maze who created the music to Frankie songs. This breaks my heart because I know if Mr.Beverly was fully mentally capable he would not have let the separation happen. These new guys seems to love and respect Frankie. That's what counts. I pray Frankie and the original Maze reunite, now only in a sit-down loving conversation. Its clear Mr. Beverly is having some cognitive issues. It’s ALL LOVE. Being from Philly myself, I met Frankie at a club at 13fh & Locust St. At that time his group was called The Butlers. They would perform all the Sly & The Family Stone songs. Nobody was sitting still. We would dance from the time we walked in the door. This was circa 1969-70.
I 'saw him a few years ago in Concord it was a great show but I guess it was one of his last shows I hear he has throat cancer. What a drag cause the more I listen to him the more I realize how much he will be missed.

No one can play the key board like Voo/Woo. The I missed the old band.. Its just knowing who were there when it all started. I really am sad that Mr. Beverly and new management didn't come together with an agreement. You never turn your back on who held it down with you through tough times. I think your new management was wrong
how they treated the one and only Maze who created the music to Frankie songs. This breaks my heart because I know if Mr.Beverly was fully mentally capable he would not have let the separation happen. These new guys seems to love and respect Frankie. That's what counts. I pray Frankie and the original Maze reunite, now only in a sit-down loving conversation. Its clear Mr. Beverly is having some cognitive issues. It’s ALL LOVE. Being from Philly myself, I met Frankie at a club at 13fh & Locust St. At that time his group was called The Butlers. They would perform all the Sly & The Family Stone songs. Nobody was sitting still. We would dance from the time we walked in the door. This was circa 1969-70.

I 'saw him a few years ago in Concord it was a great show but I guess it was one of his last shows I hear he has throat cancer. What a drag cause the more I listen to him the more I realize how much he will be missed.
Yep, I was at that show, the audience picked up vocals for him. I think he’s healed and got his groove back now. Hoping he’ll return to the Concord Pavilion this Summer.

I was at this concert saw them there in the 80s and also at the indigo (the 02) they are the absolute governor’s my favourite soul band of all time !!
