For me, the difference with the members of the "Hack Pack" is that Bob Levy and Jim Florentine I knew of as stand up comics completely separate from the Stern Show and were established comedians with comedy careers. Shuli, Sal and Richard I only know as funny guys from the Stern Show. I always felt people only go to see Shuli, Sal and Richard because of the Stern Show (as I did) and found out the guys were actually pretty funny, but their sets always seem to have Stern Show references so it reinforced they were using their regular jobs to make side money as comics. Then one day they seemed to take themselves seriously as comics and had egos about their skills. Meanwhile, none of them would have any career in comedy whatsoever without the Stern Show and they leveraged it constantly.
Levy callling out Chappelle is hilarious…Dave is a comedy master and certainly doesn’t need to steal jokes from Bob or anyone else. To clarify the joke on Chappelle, it was an Oscar the Grouch type character that was a junkie. Charlie Murphy was doing the voice.
Shuli keeps trying to chime in like anyone things he's a comic. No one outside of the stern universe even knew him. And hes most known for arguing over baby clothes
Belmawr Lake is basically a drainage ditch in the middle of an industrial park off the side of i295 just a mile or so from scenic Camden, NJ. Sal would absolutely love it and Bob fits right in.
This was Shuli's big chance to come on air and go toe to toe with Artie and he failed miserably. Even Ralph called in and slapped Shuli around. I know, I know Shuli paid his dues and deserves respect! That's what Shuli told us anyway.
