    I just replaced a pair of Castle Rock LT tires with Goodyear Endurance tires. The Castle Rocks were OEM on a 2018 trailer, date coded late in 2017, and they were starting to separate. When I noticed a deformity in the tread I got them replaced before they blew.

    I just got a set of 4 for my cargo trailer. I got good year endurance. Had I known that michillin made trailer tires I would of got those. I thaught that I had done my homework. I know I got a good set of 4 tires now but I do like michillins. Even though I cant spell them right.

      The Endurance is probably the best ST tire on the market right now and is what I am still running on my trailer. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

    I wish you would have mentioned something about balancing your trailer tires which can reduce stress on your suspension & body, extend tire life, and keep things inside your trailer from excessive vibration while traveling down the road. Most RV manufacturers do not balance their tires due to a cost factor, they save money. Airstream makes a point to state that their trailers’ tires are balanced at the factory. When new trailer tires are installed, they should always be balanced. Very good video. Thanks.

      Very good point Kevin and maybe I can get to this and some other tire details such as rubber vs metal valve stems, nitrogen vs air in tires and others in a future video. But I didn't want to load this video down with too many details but focus on how to keep the RV owner, especially new owners, out of trouble. Very glad you watched and please share with your camping friends.

    I’ve got a friend who owns and runs an Camp trailer rental business and they were blowing through every brand and type of ST tires like a hurricane wind. They switched to LT tires and now get over 3 years on each set on their rigs which see 15-20K miles each year

    Excellent video, thanks! Looks like the Goodyear Marathon tire is a total disaster. Goodyear must have made some real serious improvements with their Endurance. Glad to see the Endurance comes in my ST 225/75 R15 wheel size. God Bless, happy and safe RVing, Prost 🌞☘

      @@LandingZoneHome Thanks again! From my current findings the Goodyear Endurance is the best tire available in the 225/75 R15 E speed rating. I'm not sure yet if it's 10 ply or what. I think it's smartest to get a tire that is very popular and readily available everywhere in the USA since that's where I'm traveling and living now. Something just gives me the feeling that the Endurance has a few things about it setting it above all the others. My 2015 trailer I got new in 2015 came with Trailer Kings and I only put no more than 5000 thousand miles on em. They look great. Some people say I should still get brand new ones. My brother looked at em and says don't. I'm torn because a few of these TH-cam RV guys say to replace them. Some guys on TH-cam who seem to know alot about RVs are Marion Blair and BigTruckBigRV. I usually try listening to people who have lots of experience. Thank you for trying to help. Best

      @@LandingZoneHome ok, I guess the external good looks of my 2015 Trailer Kings don't really mean that much. Too bad, I hate to throw out stuff that looks good and could still work well. But I guess the bottom line truth is they are still dangerous and could blowout anytime. Safety is always my utmost importance. Thank you so much. Oh, another guy on TH-cam who I think is with it, sincere and truly caring person is Ray. His TH-cam channel is called LoveYourRV.

    Is it legal to run LT tires on a trailer? I heard you must have ST tires on a trailer or it’ll be a thousand dollars per tire fine.

    • @LandingZoneHome
      @LandingZoneHome  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it was illegal do you think many RV manufacturers would install LT tires as standard tires on trailers? I know Airstream does and I'm sure other high end trailers are the same. Thank you for watching and please Subscribe. :)

    I have a question. I have Endurance Tires on my 30’ 2019 International. The Goodyear chart would suggest around 60 lbs or so per tire, based on 8000 lbs trailer, yet when i called Goodyear they said use the PSI the is on the trailer sticker from Airstream. That sticker says cold pressure is 80 psi. What to do? 80 lbs just bounces the trailer around and causes havoc within the trailer.

    • @LandingZoneHome
      @LandingZoneHome  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would do 70 psi and not the max, your weight is same as mine.

    • @kevinsews
      @kevinsews 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have over 20K miles on my Endurance Tires on my 2020 25RB. I always start at 65 PSI cold. They raise to between 70 and 75 PSI once I hit the road. They still look new and I've had zero problems. The dealer set them at 80 after a warranty repair and after an hour drive home I had a rivet pop on the inside of the trailer. This is the only time I've had that problem. So 65 for me has worked out well.

      @@kevinsews Thanks, sounds like the Goodyear Endurance is a great tire. Are they E or F rating? I need four 225/75 R15 . Who sells them the cheapest? Do you recommend metal or rubber valve stems? Thanks, happy and safe RVing ☘🕯
