    Thank you for this video!!
As a new(er) tyer, I appreciate your setup, lighting, delivery and explanations for *why* you do certain things and the "look out" for say, dye on the hands!!
Great stuff! Have a great weekend!!

You are very welcome. There are so many little "tips and tricks" in fly tying that most people don't think about when teaching fly tying. Passing that information along as I teach a fly is one aspect of teaching fly tying that I really enjoy. I get many comments and compliments from fellow tiers about those little nuggets of information that really help them at the vise. Glad you like the video - Ian Anderson

Thank you for the compliment. I am glad you like the video. It is a very versatile pattern and it often impresses me just how many variations actually catch fish! - Ian Anderson

Great video!! It’s a “simple” pattern, but one I still struggle with being fairly new to fly tying. This will definitely help. We use some larger versions of this for Silver salmon near where I live :-)

Glad you like the video and even more glad it helps. The key is to remember to use a longer streamer hook than you would for a normal Woolly Bugger. That way the Woolly Bugger proportions are correct and there is still room for the egg. - Ian Anderson

What is the brand of the whip finish tool you are using?

It is the Marc Petitjean Whip Finish tool (www.petitjean.com/online/en/tying-tools/134-whip-finisher.html). I like it over the normal Matarelli whip finisher as the hooks keep the thread from sliding off the tool and the spring on the lower hook keeps you from apply too much pressure while applying the whip finish. - Ian Anderson
