Ain't no way homeboy was opening virtual trading cards while on a date *and then trading them to a different woman than the one he was on a date with*
💀
THANK YOU IM GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED.
Shorty was so damn happy to get that eevee card like her life was changed forever😭
Could be coffee with a friend.
Sigma move
Based af
The way he nodded at pulling the Gardevoir though
prolly bc it was a holo, or w/e you call those sparkly cards
😂
yeah, that was definitely a bit of a nod to the horny community xD
He know what he was gonna do in the sheets
One of us, one of us!
The fact that opening the packs is shown ten times as much as anything else you can do with them says a lot about who they're marketing this game to I think.
Perhaps, but also, I think it's likely that they're showing what's most complete at this point. The actual battle effects and actions during a match would probably take the most time to finish regarding development deadlines.
I feel like thats most of the audience thats actually buying irl cards too. Every new set seems to be more about what the coolest or prettiest card is moreso than the competitive best card
There is something so satisfying about opening a new pack and seeing all the random cards you get and just thinking about what you might get and the hype when you get a cool or rare card.
@@vectoralphaAI Cool, but to be fair, it's less hype when the game stops being profitable and they shut it down and you can't resell the cards you dumped all that money into for no reason.
thats nearly every mobile game tbf@@longhorsestudios
Honestly, I’m down. Never got into the original card game, this seems like a good place to learn.
Same dude
Same
Me too. Pokemon cards aren't common in my country so this is a very welcome change.
Closest I've got was the video game. So yea bit dated there
@Kira-hr5iu I've already invested too much into other physical card games, I don't want to start a new collection.
Also you don't have to be an enthusiast to like something, let alone trying something new. Don't be an elitist and let people enjoy affordable hobbies or entertainment however they want.
I hope it has local play. I still like meeting real people to play TCG with real cards but i would also use this in person because then you can try out new decks on the fly without lugging your whole collection around.
Doesn’t seem like the game is going to be the same card pool (and maybe not even the same rules like what’s an Energy Zone?). I am thinking it could be like Duel Links for Yugioh
Just get online with the people in the same room and done.
It's Pokemon developers, so odds are not great.
Pokemon TCG online already exists..
It won't (: why would they not have it all online and force you to buy more cards?
Can't get the first TCG app right, so let's make another one!
this is the third app actually
There's an app?? I don't think my country got those, played it on pc for a bit, but fell off
@@symphonixblades
OGs know which makes having to potentially migrate your old collection again hurt even more.
@@dont_take_it_personal I don't think you'll have to migrate anything, I think Pocket is the Duel Links of Pokemon in which it is a faster version of the game with some rules changes to make the match end faster.
It's like Yugioh with Master Duel and Duel Links.
PTCGO was great, and they messed it up!
As someone who loves the art and kind of likes playing a little bit, I love the idea of a card collector app where you can also use them sometimes
So now theres two TCG clients for pokemon. One that will be filled with microtransactions and one that is still burning up phone batteries because poor optimization.
This. They re fking out of touch. So done with them
@@ezemian5970 out of touch? you tcg boomers are the one that's out of touch considering pokemon is the only tcg out there that's long surpassed by the likes of hearthstone and Yu Gi Oh master duel in terms of actual video game ccg
Pokemon tcg live is the worst tcg ever made
@@Gigi-zr6hpHearthstone is blizzardslop and YGO is absolute garbage now. You can keep seething zoomer but Pokemon is still the best TCG out there, at least you get to play the game and your turn is yours
Bro judging the app optimization before the official release. Genius👌
Now i wont go in debt getting the cards
real
@Kira-hr5iu jesse what the fuck are you talking about
@Kira-hr5iuthis bot 😂
Yes no more wasting money on physical Pokémon cards.
Even better. You’ll spend money on digital cards that will be taken away from you at anytime LMAO
This is huge, can't wait to play this
naaa sucks on ipad, tcg was better
Feels like it should be an update to TCG live.
Where you still can't simply admire your collection.
Nah I prefer to have a separate game that focuses only on collecting, trading and the graphics/looks
@@LightPr1nceIt also has battling so its pretty much the same game as TCGL, I agree this should be an update to TCGL not a different app
So bummed this isn't an update :(
Why have 2 games that do the same things, instead of making one that does the good things of both?@@LightPr1nce
Aren't they the same
Any update on this? Been months
Seriously im excited for this
I get that this is being made on DeNA's budget and will likely be micro transaction hell but damn does this feel bad with the state Pokemon Tcg Live is in.
yeah TCG Live is so bad that this was the best announcement of the live for me. They will even offer 2 free packs per day making it less grindy probably than Live.
Also the live card arts are beautiful
When you buy real life packs to expand your collection, that's a micro transaction too. Everything is a transaction, so idk why there's so much people complaining about it.
@@navinanase that's why smart people buy singles not packs, also you actually own the cards you buy, this game could get shut down at any time leaving you with nothing
@@sonicjms buying singles it's a transaction too. You are buying something. Anyways. The original TCG still exists after all this years, I don't think they are just going to throw all off the board
Yeah my thoughts exactly. I like some of what's being shown here, especially the immersive artwork, but I almost would've preferred an overhaul of TCG Live instead
I really hope that the code cards that come in real life TCG packs can be used in this, because I have a metric ton of those laying around
they might do that with new one not the old one
You should be able to use those in TCG Live
The game seems to be built from the ground up, so I doubt that regular packs will do anything for this game
they work in the current Pokemon TCG Live app if they're from the Sun & Moon era on
Same
Immersive card experiences and accessible gameplay is EXACTLY the direction I want the TCG to go! I'm excited for this!
Definitely playing this on release
Me too 😊
That is cool and all, but we need the TCG on the Switch too.
they could port this to Switch easily if they wanted to, even tho DeNa is a mobile games company only
The game boy version is in the collection and honestly pretty fun
@@Pizzaetertje Yeah. I love it.
I hope they release the TCG2.
It was released only in Japan for Gameboy
Actually wanted something like this for a while now digital cards a revamped way to play with them!
Please eventually make this cross compatible on Nintendo Consoles, (with cross saves) as well as eventually give us an option to have a full card battle (or at least one that feels more like one). I don't really like playing that much on Mobile, but I do enjoy opening packs and possibly trading on mobile.
Can this please hurry up and come out
I have never really been into the TCG side of Pokemon, but I am actually really looking forward to this. A more simplified version of the competitive card game with the addictive collecting of cool looking cards. I am so down!
The game already exists.. pokemon TCG live
@insomnic2893 key words: (more simplified) the ptcgl is not simple
@@insomnic2893 TCG Live is ass
So what happened to Pokémon live then?
@@SvenVerwaal?????????
Will still be a thing, pretty much this looks like a master duel type of thing with a different ruleset from Live/the actual TCG
i think it will still be running along this, although Live is not really a good simulator right now.
This is the Duel Links version of Pokemon TCG basically
It's rubbish
This doesn't have real life cards in it, pocket has its own format with its own rules (there's an energy zone and no energy cards, no prize cards either)
Print these cards as physical cards! The moltres full art looks so GOOD!!!
Let's gooooo digital pokemon cards you will never own!
Collecting virtual entities is pretty much Pokémon’s whole deal, I don’t see what the problem is here
l dont mind "not really owning them" if l got them for free,, l like the tcg for the battle aspect, not the collection aspect but l was always put off by having to pay very steep prices to get a deck thats somewhat competitive. If this can alleviate that issue, l'm all for it
@@longbeing The difference is that if you play pokemon on a cartridge it's yours forever, whereas if you play on a service like this it's yours until they decide to no longer support the service, at which point all the money/time people may or may not have invested into the service will be undone by no choice of your own
@@Sponsie1000 good point.
So it's the pack-opening simulator, according to how the video focuses on it. Greeeeeeeat.
You also get to play tcg on your phone.
Yeah its awesome. Open packs, collect cards, card battles, and trade with others. Its the whole TCG in one place on the phone.
Literally just 2 days ago I went to a shop and picked up a couple cards for the first time in years, dug through a box of cards and picked out about 170 of em. Then it kinda got me stuck into the TCG Live rabbit hole. Seems like Live wasnt/isnt very well recieved by people so I'm hoping this doesnt end up being lame. Feels like a good time to get back into the card game.
Please let me scan in my physical cards thatd be so cool for card preservation. Just a thought.
I have a question, if you buy a pack of cards in real life can you scan them and use them in the app or no?
I love this for collecting art alone, excited to see how it ends up!
2:48 lookit that Pikachu robot lookin thing on the shelf in the back, in between the two guys. It’s so goofy, I love it.
😂😂😂
Man I hope this game is compatible with my device when it was released
Oh god please.
Tbh im really excited. That definitely won't replace the actual cards, i loved collecting them as a kid and i even have the very first ones gifted from a cousin.
If they wouldn't be so expensive i would buy more packs, but i also love my collection. Tho having the opportunity to collect them digitally and use them in battles (lets be honest we all dont know how to play) will be exciting, especially cause you get free packs
🎉 Happy PoKéMoN Day! 🎊
Bro got so into his role he was literally on the verge of real tears in two of those scenes 😭
Gonna be honest, I’m obsessed with the idea of immersive cards with expanded/semi-animated illustrations
As someone who lives in a 3rd world country i never was able to get my hands on pokemon cards. Even if i got them who would i play with? This honestly looks fun and i can get in on the fun now
this game looks really promising
So excited about this. Just a free little joy every day + trading and talking with friends about what you got everyday seems so fun. Also love the art.
This is a brand new game, I love it. I think it will coexist with tcglive. Tcglive will still be the physical card experience on digital, while pocket will be a new experience.
These are all the things I noticed in the video:
1. It seems Pocket will have exclusive new cards, independent from the tcg.
2. Open two packs for free each day, so if you want more you will have to pay. So, it seems will have microtransactions. I prefer it that way.
3. We have 3 benched pokemon instead of 5. Nice.
4. There is an energy zone, which I suppose is the circle at the bottom right.
5. When the Pikachu knocks out the Snorlax, the energy zone gets one energy. So it seems we get energy by knocking opponents.
6. Notice how neither opponent has an energy card on hand. Maybe we also get one energy each turn (but, what if you a two color energy?)
7. Weakness is no longer x2, instead +20. So, the number of damage you can do is lower (power creep reset)
8. They announce quicker battles, but in the video we see each opponent having 17 minutes left to play (starting from 20?). I think it should be 10 each, if they want quicker battles, which I love it.
9. In the bottom left, next to the timer, we see 3 circles, one opponent has 2 and the other 1. See the ex rule in charizard says that when is knocked out, the opponent takes 2 points. I think when you get to 3 points you win the match.
I think this app is going to be way more popular and better than TCG Live in so many ways.
I genuinely enjoy pokemon cards and got 2 binders in total so as a beginner to pokemon cards hearing about this actually makes me look forward to playing this game
I'm really excited for this game to come out i hope that we'll be able to add friends in the game so we can fight not just with random people
The Duel Links of Pokemon TCG
Tbh I think you're right
Cant wait for updates to this game to be in every Pokémon presents once it comes out
PLEASE RELEASE THIS ALREADY! ! ! - Signed Pokémon fans from all generations.
Does this mean trading is/will be an option in TCG Live? Haven’t played it for a while as missed the option to trade.
I’ve always loved Pokémon Trading Cards! I’m so very hyped to play this! 🤗
would be awesome if this game launch with an option to scan our physical cards to play with them online too! :)
Tcg live already has the code cards. Doubt theyll let you scan real cards
Opening Pokémon pack's sound is really satisfying 😊
Will the way to get the cards be like in JCC? I loved buying packs and then scanning them to have the cards in the game and also have the coins to buy a certain card
Hell yeah this is dope. I can finally get into the card game. Collecting the cards and growing a collection, battling online and in person and trading cards all in one place. Yeah, im down with that.
I say this is a big, genius move! It's hard to get Pokemon Cards these days. And if we were still in 2020, this would've been undoubtedly perfect
Literally every store I go into has like 50 booster boxes and booster packs and I live in a major US city. The surge has been over for like a year my guy.
Because greedy ass scapler buy those physical Pokémon cards. Good problem is solved.
@@longhorsestudios Yeah, but I wasn't exactly saying it was impossible or anything, but I'm saying this seems like a more easier format. Not all cards make it to everyone's shelves, especially when we're talking around the planet. Either way, this is to be an alternative :)
This is awesome! I’ll definitely play this and trade with my family!
I hope it has both the speedy game mode and classic. the cards seem to be unchanged(?) from their real cards. so having 2 different game modes for original tcg play and the new speedy play.
They just redid the PTCG pc and phone game after it being the same for like 15 years, i wonder if this will be apart of that or separate.
I played the TCG for a while about decade ago. It's pretty fun. Interested in giving this a try.
I wish there was a way to put the real card collection into this new client
It all depends on the pricing...😮
2 packs a day are free. If you want extras, idk. We’ll find out.
I'm guessing it's just buying the same packs like you would online. But instead of being delivered physically, they go right into the app. So if you got a $5 from the store normally, it would be that same price when you buy them in the app
@@tailsfan10 if you buy packs in stores they come with a code to get a free pack of the same set in the regular pokemon tcg app. So will be interesting to see if they start including codes for this or replacing the other app or what
@@BillWill1616 exactly. But if the free packs are smaller with viewer cards, and how many cards are in normal packs, and what the price will be and how often rarer cards are opened... all of this also needs to be accounted to know about pricing
@@tailsfan10 I surely hope not. Would probably kill the app faster than it can be released lol.
I’m actually excited for this as I do want to learn how to play the Pokémon TCG but couldn’t find a good free online way to play
Are you looking for a simplified version, which is what this is. Or are you looking for the 1 to 1, tcg to real-life equivalent and more competitive version? Cause that is already out called pokemon tcg live.
Feels old man, I still remember the Gameboy color cartridge edition as well as the old original machamp and cards.
I remember being conned out of a shiny Charizard 😂
I'm not sure what to think about a streamlined version of the battles... I guess I could abide with that if it's for casual players, although, it would be great to add an additional mode for the authentic battle experience just like we have on Pokémon TCG Online!
Wait..... Pulls of mask, it's you duel links!!! I knew it!!!
So will this replace the current TCG game client/app?
I just want this because how pretty the dynamic art is.
The day I can play it on my phone is so wonderful! I'm looking forward to the day I can play it on a daily basis!(*´ω`*)
I wonder if the code cards from physical packs will play a part in this? This looks cool though, good for folks starting out
Is this good bye Pokemon tcg live allready? Its been what only 3 years max ?
This is cool and I’m excited, don’t get me wrong, but seriously, when are we going to get a proper home console TCG video game?
Brother are you serious? The answer is never. Card games are all live service micro transaction hellscapes.
The ONLY console Pokemon card game to be made was released for the Gameboy in like 1998.
Seriously, they are nobody's dummy when it comes to making money
I just got the cards to collect them, this seems a good opportunity to learn the game.
This game isn't how you play the tcg. To play the tcg you'll need Pokémon Live
I love the idea. I'm in if it's well implemented. I was worried about the F2P experience but if you get a couppa packs per day, then I'm fine with that!
Surprised it took this long cause the TCG does have video game form but only on pc when facing others.
So its the online pokemon TCG that already exists but on phone? I wonder if I can use my old account
Wonder if there will be an open market place to swindle off cards that may or may not be valuable ? And to purchase also
Hopefully this time is gonna be better than you’re last despite not trying any TCG game of pokemon
I actually am super excited for this
It looks nice and all, but god the music in the ad is just so addictive 😭
As many full art Lickitung cards as possible, please!
I know I'm a bit late, but this looks crazy good!
Free 2 pacs a day without playing doesnt sound too bad. As long as you can earn packs through playing as well thats pretty good
Finally we can play the tcg without spending money
As long as the player avatars don't look like sims characters I'll be all for it.
This app should work with the next mainline game. You can battle others and catch Pokemon on the go then bring them home and have them transfer to your Switch 2.
Distraction Simulator™ featuring False Sense of Achievement® looks great. will probably download day 1
I stopped playing the TCG after the Fairy type got discontinued. I’m happy for the Pokemon fans that wanted this thou!
Looks like it could be fun.
I'll play this when it's release
I don't know how I feel about this. How will this and PTCGL both survive?
I mean this seems to be made for the collector and casual crowd. So it’s basically Yugioh duel links compared to Yugioh Master Duel. Both survived perfectly fine.
@@Lunapink93 Yu-Gi-Oh is a very different beast than Pokemon, especially seeing how Duel Links came out before Master Duel, and Duel Links was there to promote an alternative format in the "Speed Duels" format.
@@DefHalanPocket seems to be a different format than normal Pokemon TCG
This is either going to be a low-cost alternative to purchasing TCG cards in real life or will lead to these cards basically becoming Pokémon NFTs.
It's a gacha game
@@cleverman383 I think this is gonna be better than any other Pokémon Gacha game like Masters which is very grindy.
I’m very excited for this!
I hope it lets me redeem all those code cards that we get from actual packs cuz I have so many of them, but have been holding on to it for something like this in the future.. crossing my fingers!
Im getting yugioh duel links vibes from this there we only 3 bench zones used vs the 5 normally looks like it will be simple at first then get complicated as time goes on but as someone who has played many tcgs im down to try this.
Im confused don't we already have a trading card app
I like the simplicity of this.
1:28 I hope the next mainline Pokémon game puts as much effort into the attack animations as they did with these crack pack opening animations.
Same
I would be more into battling if the battles were animated like the Star Wars Dejarik (Holochess) game
Gen 10 just dropped, Pokémon Crypto and Pokémon NFT are looking pretty good so far
I hope the actual game itself is fun. I’ve been wanting TCG for mobile forever.
This is honestly really cool. So is this like going to replace Live? I really think it should. Live is like, kinda simple and buggy for me. But I still find it strange if it did cuz Live recently replaced the older TCG game.
If they make it seperate from tcg and release packs based on game to scan and own virtually and physically id be in heaven lol
Will be downloading to try complete the digital set, but I have a feeling that packs that cost money will pull cards that free packs don't. 100%. Thats the catch (excuse the pun)
So, im a bit confused. Whats the difference between this and TCG Online? Cant that also be played on mobile?
TCG Live sucks
But the real differences for now are :
1- Faster paced games, this means the match will go faster than TCG Live
2 - Card arts live illustrations
3- 2 free packs each day
@@symphonixblades oooh i see! Thank you! I don't play tcgo so I was confused lol. Thank you!!
