nah demon slayer is awesome because there is a character we can all relate to in the story. the way it ties in perspective is something truly special imo. Plus I loved the manga a lot, the art style has a great aesthetic to it. The anime gets all the uproar because the production is next fucking level.

Yup, that's true. Unfortunately, not all manga works are finished just like Berserk and HxH. We should be thankful for demon slayer mangaka for being able to complete her masterpiece work. And not all survive to reach the ending especially during this deadly pandemic.

The thing I like about demon slayer is that, in other animes and stories, they show the protagonist like he/she is the god or something. Like they can handle EVERYTHING on their own and they always have a plan beforehand. But in demon slayer, they show that one person is NOT enough. Yes, he has talent and he has passion and what not. But, a single person doesn't have enough power to handle every situation. Its not like that tanjiro is the protagonist so he defeated Muzan alone. NO. Everyone defeated Muzan TOGETHER. Tanjiro was just a part of it. Ubuyashiki had to trap Muzan, Tamayo had to inject the medicine; hashiras and the kamaboko squad and Kanao had to defeat the uppermoons; all the low ranked demon slayers had to sacrifice themselves in front of muzan a number of times to save the pillars; yushiro had to bring muzan in the open, tanjiro's dead family members saved him a number of times, ALL the pillars(Expect for Tomioka, Sanemi and Tengen) had to die and fight and tanjiro, even being the protagonist, had a very little part in that combat(until he has to perform all the 12 forms of sun breathing); then when muzan covered himself from the sunlight, so many people had to come and push that vehicle on him so he doesnt hide and then finally, when tanjiro became the demon king ,kanao, nezuko and his dead comrades' souls helped him become a human again. It was a team effort and I can never find an ending like demon slayer. Its unique

Secondly, those who hated AOT ending are AOT fans. They didn't need to compare it to another anime to hate the ending. So you're being mistaken here.
Demon slayer had a great ending. So if someone watches both and bashes AOT's ending, it doesn't mean they aren't fans of AOT.
You're assuming people are fans of just one anime or Manga and that's wrong. A lot of the demon slayer fans here are also Attack of Titan fans. So they are comparing two series they love and there is nothing wrong with that. If a fan was disappointed in an ending, they should be able to express it freely without anyone being on their necks for it

just finished the manga, and LOVED this series.
Flaws: power system needs to be better explained, kinda wish we had more chill time between arcs to build tension, more explanation/time w/ the whole memroy thing, some of the fights (ex: zenitsu vs upper 6) needed more time to develop, would have loved more scenes with inosuke and zenitsu. Tamayo was kinda overpowered toward the end lol
Strengths: the sheer amount of HEART in this series is outstanding. Tanjiro using his pain to motivate him to save others is beautiful, and parallels how the pillars use their sadness to prevent others from feeling the same pain. The pillars are all awesome imo, with their backstories being really cool and their personalities being really distinct. (Rengoku, Toki, Igoru, Hamejima, Sanemi, Mitsuri are my faves) I do wish we got more time with them but i still love em. The focus on teamwork between humans and demons to kill muzan rocked. Watching tanjiro become a demon and having human nezuko save him was a great callback to the beginning. Seeing all the fallen soul's aid tanjiro in his rejection of muzan was beautiful, and might be the best panel in the series. THE FIGHTS HOLY COW are so damn cool.
This series gets crap for being "simple" and "ripping stuff off", but imo it builds off of existing shonen ideas and really puts them to use in cool ways. For instance, our hero grows a LOT through various training montages, but in the end, its the growth of EVERYONE that ultimately wins the day. Also, as a Hindu, it was cool to see reincarnation be used in such a cool way,

I know so little about demon slayer. I've watched part of episode 1 of season 1 haven't read a single manga chapter. And yet those last few pages effected me enough to the point where i almost cried. If i was a bigger fan of demon slayer I'd probably be sobbing buckets rn so Kudos to the mangaka for making an ending so beautiful that it caused someone who wasn't a fan at all to legitimately almost shed some tears

The amazing thing about this manga is its ability to invoke great emotions in its readers. There are so few of these kinds of manga that present a clear message and philosophy of life that is clearly shown in each encounter of Tanjirou and the Demon Slayer Corps. Truly, Gotouge-sensei made a masterpiece of this manga, and I'm looking forward to see more of her other works as well.

Lol Isayama was forced to so this. He has a bad editor if you look at his other works like Domestic Girlfreind you can see how he makes bad endings Isayama's story was another victum of this. Isayama was rushed and had no choice in the matter yes it was disappointing but there was a reason behind it.

The reason Demon Slayer touched me so much and become one of my top 3 favorite manga series of all time is due to one main thing. The writing and symbolism. The writing is just phenomenal. The words she used whether for a high action scene of Tanjiro fighting, to a more relaxed scene like eating with Mitsuri, or even a comedy scene like the Red Light District with Tengen. The words are so carefully picked. They don’t feel like she sat down and just wrote it all out super quickly. It feels like she took time, put thoughts behind her and picked the best words to reflect the story. Also the symbolism through this entire series is top tier. My personal favorite is the red sword symbolism. Yorichi being the strongest demon slayer ever wielded a bright red sword. With him not having any biological descendants and passing on his earrings plus the breath of sun breathing to his best friend who then passes it on. Until Tanjiro gets the earrings, becomes a demon slayer and gets a pitch black sword. Instead of giving Tanjiro a bright red sword to show he is powerful and a descendant of Yorichi we get something even better. When his sword is combined with his beloved little sister Nezuko’s blood it turns bright red. Showing his bond with Nezuko and his values are so strong in and of themselves. I always though that was the most amazing thing. Tanjiro is powerful with the breath of the sun, but he needed his little sisters help to get his sword to turn bright red. This is in my top 3 favorite manga series I’ve ever read. Now that this volume ended and we got a more cohesive ending I think it’s time I go re-read the manga again!
Something I've wanted to point out for a while, but the Mangaka does an incredible job at showing joy on the characters faces. Seriously they have some of the most beautiful, heartwarming smiles I've ever seen in anime and manga.
Finally an author who ACTUALLY takes the unique route and gives the watchers what they want instead of going the FAKE "unique" route and making the ending unsatisfying

AOT got a few additional pages that made me feel a little better about the ending tbh. But thats subjective still, you should check it out!

Truly a manga for the ages. This manga will live on for thousands of years passed on for generations and genarations recognized as one of the greatest of all time. I tried holding back my feelings reading this chapter but the author notes finally broke me down in tears hahahaha

One of the first mangas I've read and it got me hooked on reading manga in general. After watching the anime n reading the story it's the 1st time I've completed a series that didnt give an "empty" feeling and felt closure

Such an untouchable series. I don’t think there’s a single thing I would change about the complete manga. Incredibly eloquent writing, wildly compelling emotional message and a cast of authentically human characters. I love how it defies the standard Shonen god complex and allows for the every character to have a role. I love how Tanjiros empathy for demons plays a legitimate role in defeating many of the upper moons and I love that victory requires incredible sacrifice. The losses of characters hurt, because the characters themselves feel so real and genuine. The additional ending is everything I wanted and more and I could rant about this series eternally. My one single wish that didn’t get added was hinting at the fact that Tomioka and Kocho could have been an odd awkward couple but that’ll just have to be my head canon.
This final chapter is so wholesome... The author really just wanted to tell us that we matter. She deserves all the success the series has given. This chapter really made me light up.

the official art of Aoi x Inosuke is my everything they’re so cute
I was surprised they got together and IMO it was mostly done to not leave Inosuke unpaired while Tanjiro married Kanao and Nezuko hooked up with Zenitsu, but it's cute anyway.

Much better ending rewrite than AOT (second one was disappointing compared to the first). Demon Slayer is/has always been such a good series.
The extra pages of AoT are not a "second ending". They were supposed to be part of the og 139 but isayama couldn't use 59 pages of Bessatsu Magazine, just 51
