Lovely video. Since I’m an Arab, I can’t resist but chime in when it comes to Arabian brands. So, amouage means waves in Arabic. It’s an Omani house. The sprayer of the men’s line pays homage to the most iconic symbol of Omani culture, which is the Omani dagger. It (the sprayer) resembles the grip of the dagger. I believe they also source all their ingredients from Oman only, but I’m not %100 sure.
I have only smelled Sunshine Man and at first I couldn't get into it. I mistakenly judged it based on the spicy opening. That dry down is 🔥 and hours upon hours later, it almost changes into something different that's still really good.

No, not to slide out whatever cash is in there; to stick new photographic portraits onto every work ID card or driver's license etc that I can find. I cut out little pictures of people's faces from the weekend newspapers, stealthily. I'm always so excited when I find good ones that I know will be the exact right size for the job too-- what a double success! Billy Dee Williams, Joseph Stalin, John Wayne Gacy, Thomas Sowell, Sir Roger Moore, Adolph Hitler, Ainsley Harriot...he's been alot of people these past couple of decades. I'm waiting for the supplement TV guild on Saturday's paper to have a summer bonanza of history documentaries so I can start 'brutal bloodthirsty dictator season'. My favourite house finally. I love Memoir Man. This must be smelled from the skin. I love green spicy opening. It really gives you the enchanted forest feeling. Then we going to floral incense. Just try to imagine room incense with lavender and rose. But not brutal. Just calming and soothing. And finally drydown is a masterpiece with tobacco, woods and extremely smooth because of musk and amber. However vetiver and oakmoss are balancing this so it is not leaning to sweet woods, but anchors you to strong wood with earthy vibes. This is amazing as can be used literally hole year around. My no.1 however is Journey Man. I should unsubscribe and cancel you for not taking that one. Oh man my go to for winter. Sichuan peppper is the king here. I love spicy and woody and this does it the best. Along this pepper we have aromatic cardamom and some citrusy flavor to balance the sharpness out. Juniper berries are not very strong and there for I am not getting pickle juice felling which can often be the case. Drydown add strong wood from cypriol with some leather. Not strong and harsh but definitely you can pick it up. Musk and tonka give smoothness and sweetness which is perfect for cold weather but can be to much in warm environment. When I sniff this I have picture of real journey man in front of my eyes. The one who takes journey on his horse, carrying wooden boxes filled, with leather bags hiding oriental spices and herbs. He travels through warm and calm land where smooth wind smack his face. If you never tried this I highly recommend it. For me it's also probably best looking bottle of all Amouage. Red and gold symbolise wealth of spice treaders that used to roam the oriental land.
Sunshine, Beach Hut and Bracken are awesome... I also have JubXXV (My Signature Scent), Interlude and Reflection. I had Epic and Lyric, which weren't for me. Great video as always.
Awesome video as always! Amouage was my introduction into niche perfumery and has a special place in my heart. Specifically, Dia and Memoir Man, which blew me away! Until this day and 350+ bottles later, nothing I've tried/sampled smells similar. As mentioned in the video, I understand many of the frags from Amouage are polarizing, yet intended for the confident, mature individual. It's so hard, but my top 10 from the house in no particular order: 1) Dia Man 2) Memoir Man 3) Lyric Man 4) Beach Hut Man 5) Overture Man 6) Jubilation XXV 7) Rose Incense 8) Boundless 9) Epic Man 10) Sunshine Man
I tried much of this line through Scent Split and Amouage has definitely and very quickly become one of my favorite houses. I'm surprised we missed Journey Man. That takes the cake for me over Boundless which reminds me a bit too much of Tobacco Vanille. Be sure to get your nose on Interlude Black Iris. Dia Man is a great floral vetiver scent also!

Amouage has some nice fragrances for a modern house. It's a shame that youngsters like these two aren't able or willing to smell the real perfumery of the pre-IFRA mass neutering. My 300+ bottle collection is 95% vintages but I do own 5 Amouages (Epic Man, Memoir Man, Bracken Man, Beach Hut Man and Figment Man). I think real classics would blow the minds of these young reviewers. Smell vintage Bel Ami, Equipage, Antaeus, Guerlain Derby, YSL pour Homme, Charles Jourdan Un Homme, Ungaro pour L'Homne I & II, Monsieur Lanvin, Balenciaga Ho Hang Club, Ténéré, Azzaro Acteur, Arrogance pour Homme.... I could go on and on...Jacques Bogart's One-Man Show, Signature, Witness, Furyo... Caron Yatagan, Dior Jules....All of these fragrances would blow their minds. Guaranteed. And there are more but they'll all be ignored by "young, hip" reviewers who just don't know what they're missing.
My favorite, at no. 1, is Sunshine Man. I was ambivalent when I first sampled it a few years ago, but I now rate it10 out of 10. Other favorites include the polarizing Fate Man, Lyric Man, and Jubilation XXV. So glad you chose to do a video focused on Amouage. "Best Of The House" is an excellent series. Please revisit this house, as it warrants a follow-up video!
Jubilation is my opening to this cool brand, is so mysterious, no so hyped like creed, le labor or that stuff (nothing wrong with that ) but this brand is really exotic to me, I've been spending lots of money on decants that later become full size bottles, they're so unique!
Jubilation XXV is probably my favourite from Amouage. I have a decant of Overture and like it but it's extremely expensive. I've still to get a decant of Beach Hut Man.
Amouage dominates my collection. Overture is near the top of list. Reminds me of sitting in a cigar bar with a few fingers of a smokey Islay scotch. Our tastes differ a bit but that’s the beauty of different opinions. It would be a boring world if we all smelled the same. Epic is another of my favorites along with Honour for my wife so…. there you have it. Good to see you back.
Hey Justin, I don’t know if you’ve tried Dia Man, but I’d definitely recommend it! It’s kinda like an ambery fougere, lasts a whole work day in temp controlled environment, isn’t pushing off you, punching people in them nostrils and is just so beautifully done. This is such an enjoyable videos to rewatch! Grace’s nose is so developed and her scent memory is remarkably sharp! Also, Amouage is one of my favourite houses. I wish you featured Sunshine Woman, which I find to be an absolute stunner! You’re totally right, Interlude Man does sweeten up considerably as it dries down, and it gets more and more delectable the longer it sits on your skin. Jubilation xxv is my personal favourite though, so opulent and regal!
my God I'm so happy you made this video i ordered yesterday those samples because we don't have all of them testers I just smelled bracken enclave overture and interlude 53 coming from Marley and Tom Ford i was shocked 🤤🤤🤤 and fall in love with this brand i didn't try it before because I'm from the middle East and i thought it would be like my other middle Eastern style perfumes No those are something else 😍 i have to smell the other's before i decide thank you 🌹
That's surprising you never tried Amouage hehe. Created by the Sultan of Oman. Known for pushing the envelope with their often polarizing, yet daring creativity, Amouage is the epitome of niche middle-eastern luxury perfumery. Personally, Marley or Tom Ford don't come remotely close to Amouage.

I have jubilation xxv. One of my favorites. I didn’t know it was reformulated. It does wear light on my skin. But I like it. I Never knew it was stronger.
My favorite Amouage in terms of smell is Meander. I knew the minute I smelled it, I had to buy it. My favorite to wear, though, is still Reflection Man. Still enjoy how it projects off of my skin. Great to smell throughout the day.
Interesting story I have to share 😃. So I was lying in bed with my scent of the night already and seeing Sunshine Man, I had to go spray that cos I love love Sunshine Man. Definitely wearing that to work tomorrow. Thanks to both of you 👌✅
Congrats on the new place, wishing you both a lot of joy in your new home. Great to see Grace rate one of my favorite houses. I haven't smelled honour 43, but of all the others, Reflection is the worst of the ones Grace smelled to my nose. It's good, but also not THAT special. Like it, but wouldn't miss it. Also funny how these fragrances work on paper vs on skin. On my skin, Memoir is actually way closer to Boundless than to Epic. And the normal Honour Man is the true peppery one to me. Never tried them on paper though. Did try Journey on paper and it just falls flat compared to on skin, where it really comes alive. Again, proof that you shouldn't buy these fragrances based just on sampling on paper. Lyric man is gorgeous, but also not for every man. I've had several people compliment my girl on her delicious rose scent when I was the one wearing it. But if you're confident enough to not care about that and like a good rose, you'll get a great reward. it is a perfect blend of sweet and fresh that also still works quite well in a bit warmer weather. I like it! Works great dressed up a bit, but also great for cosy summer evenings. While Grace's top 3 might not be mine, still great picks! Beach Hut is amazing stuff that always seems to complement my style. Even when I'm not my absolute best, like last weekend at an unexpected outdoor party, a bit tired after a 9 hour long MTB trail ride, wearing wayyy too casual clothes because I wasn't expecting anything formal for that weekend, it lifts my spirit and helps me leave a positive impression. Jubilation reformulated is indeed more wearable. Or at least more often wearable. Yes, it's a bit weaker, but it still projects very nicely and now, it's almost a year round universally liked fragrance for me. A bit of a dumb reach as far as Amouage goes. Still very refined and rich smelling when sprayed on skin. And Boundless... WOW! instant love for me when I got my nose on that one. Too bad it's getting a bit too warm to wear it now, because it's just so lovely. There's almost a soothing quality about it.
I'm with Grace when it comes to Boundless. I'm a woman who leans toward woody, spicy, resinous notes as opposed to sweet floral notes. I practically live in Boundless in the Autumn and Winter months. Amouage's Boundless and Penhaligon's Lothair are two fragrances that both men and women constantly ask about when I am wearing them.
As usual Justin, another great video with Grace. My favorite from Amouage is Journey Man. Not a beast mode one but an elegance statement on its own. Keep doing great and congratulations on your new place.
Nice video. Have to agree with Jubilation XXV being up there, however you need to get your nose on journey man. IMO it is one of the best from the house and criminally overlooked. Keep up the good work!

Jubilation XXV sounds absolutely beautiful, I need to get my nose on that one for sure. Another one I'm interested in checking (but that wasn't in this great video) is Myths Man. Apparently it's a very smokey leather, floral, which sounds absolutely gorgeous, at least to me. Thanks as always for the great content, and yes, it was great seeing Grace again. I tried 11 samples from Amouage but I couldn't enjoy any of them. I think they have a very oriental/old style. Niche perfumery for sure, but the brand is a pass for me.
Interlude is really overrated in my opinion. i have been arround insence all my life and it dominates with the smell of burning wood. very cheap smell only thing nice about it is the projection
I know, that beautiful sweet smile of hers transforms her entire face. What a wonderful weapon it is to be able to turn your face into happy sunshine. She could flash it at a parking attendant and he'd rip the ticket up and go, 'oh I'm sorry, my mistake, have a great day, I'm so sorry!' I'm imagining that smile is how she won Justin over. She flashed it and he went goeey and sighed, 'I would like to picnic with you for the rest of my life'. Haha! :D

Ik everyone nose is different but I don't see what ppl like about sunshine man & reflection. Sunshine is like blah & reflection is just a weird smell to me it smell like whenever you sneeze to hard lol 🤧... Jubilation 25 is ok but not my style. Only 3 I've smelled & wasn't impressed.

I am really trying to like Amouage, but they are really “niche” extremely polarizing. You either love it or hate it. Some spices they use are really strong, I have sampled sunshine man to many friends, they hate it and from 60 different fragrances they would rate that one 0 or 1 out of 10, interlude man also smells too strong of oregano and some people associate it with mosquito repellent. Jubilation XXV is my favorite from Amouage.

I have JXXV, reflection, and Interlude. J25 and Interlude, I can't stop smelling. I'll take the caps off and just start smelling them... then I wanna hate Interlude, but then fall in love with it again. Not many fragrances have that effect on me. Only other one I wanna hate, but somehow really like is Jaques Bogart. The 15 dollar barber shop scent bomb lol.

Probably Lyric Man would be on the list. I can't really think of any other occasion man could wear this. For me it leans unisex with even more feminine vibe. It to floral, powdery and smooth at he same time. I imagine that this is how men from romanticism era would smell.
I think Jubilation maybe a love , hate thing as i its the worst fragrance i have ever smelt ( certainly not an easy wear ). While i was in Duty Free airport i tried Enclave and thought it was very nice , i will have to give that one another go.
I'm glad that Amouage changed creative directors as the line seemed to have stagnated prior to the switch. Not taking away anything from Christopher Chong however it has been a pleasant change of pace with fragrances like Enclave. However I have a huge complaint with Amouage because the brand pulled to typical fragrance scam which is to reformulated and water down the fragrances then eventually create concentrated versions at a huge premium. While they may not be as guilty as say Kilian, Amouage is certainly guilty of the same premise. Not to mention, the extraits have spurred little interest which for myself makes sense when houses such as Nishane make extraits readily accessible, and even more so with indie brands like Motif Olfactif.

I was scanning through this video looking for my favorite (jubilation 25 (NOT XXV)) and was super shocked that these were all "male marketed" Amouage...!? I have to ask if that's honestly because u simply bought into the marketing or if you honestly prefer these versions over the "female marketed" counterparts?? I'm only asking because I own 7 Amouage fragrances and 6 of them are "for women".. in general I find the ones that have a M and F Release that the girl version is ALMOST ALWAYS superior.... I'm really curious to know your thoughts!
Missed their best work which is DIA man (Betrand Douchafour). Its also very wearable for an Amouage. Dia and Lyric are easily my favourites from the brand
I absolutely love Amouage. Some I’ve tried I’m not crazy about but wow the quality and uniqueness is all there. I’ve found some decent prices too. Decantx is killing it! One of my favorite decant sites I adore and 100% behind their products and pricing! Great video guys! Thank you for sharing
Took me a few days of wearing Interlude to get into it. Actually wore it on a hike in 85 degree weather. Lol. This is going to be my fall cozy scent when im cold.
Dusty is a unique word and not often used when it comes to fragrances but inspired and very apt with regard to Sunshine Man. Also, love Bracken. In my top 5. Lot of reordered decants of Amouage but do have a full bottle of Bracken. Lyric Man is really for women. Hard to feel its unisex. Agree re Boundless. Awesome range of mainstream and niche/original vibe. Didn't know Jubilation was reformulated but that explains the tragic performance. Much prefer the original and will hunt for a bottle. You'd be cancelled if you didn't include Interlude. Haha. For sure. Really surprised a nose as developed as yours was put off by it at first. Dig the honesty. Great video.

I've only ever really liked Sunshine Man and Journey Man. everything else just seems too heavy and dark to me.

Drydown add strong wood from cypriol with some leather. Not strong and harsh but definitely you can pick it up. Musk and tonka give smoothness and sweetness which is perfect for cold weather but can be to much in warm environment.
When I sniff this I have picture of real journey man in front of my eyes.
The one who takes journey on his horse, carrying wooden boxes filled, with leather bags hiding oriental spices and herbs. He travels through warm and calm land where smooth wind smack his face.
If you never tried this I highly recommend it. For me it's also probably best looking bottle of all Amouage. Red and gold symbolise wealth of spice treaders that used to roam the oriental land.
While I wish you two nothing but the best, more importantly I wish you both patience and understanding when troubling times arrive.
Sunshine, Beach Hut and Bracken are awesome... I also have JubXXV (My Signature Scent), Interlude and Reflection. I had Epic and Lyric, which weren't for me. Great video as always.
Awesome video as always! Amouage was my introduction into niche perfumery and has a special place in my heart. Specifically, Dia and Memoir Man, which blew me away! Until this day and 350+ bottles later, nothing I've tried/sampled smells similar. As mentioned in the video, I understand many of the frags from Amouage are polarizing, yet intended for the confident, mature individual. It's so hard, but my top 10 from the house in no particular order:
1) Dia Man
2) Memoir Man
3) Lyric Man
4) Beach Hut Man
5) Overture Man
6) Jubilation XXV
7) Rose Incense
8) Boundless
9) Epic Man

I tried much of this line through Scent Split and Amouage has definitely and very quickly become one of my favorite houses. I'm surprised we missed Journey Man. That takes the cake for me over Boundless which reminds me a bit too much of Tobacco Vanille. Be sure to get your nose on Interlude Black Iris. Dia Man is a great floral vetiver scent also!

Amouage has some nice fragrances for a modern house. It's a shame that youngsters like these two aren't able or willing to smell the real perfumery of the pre-IFRA mass neutering. My 300+ bottle collection is 95% vintages but I do own 5 Amouages (Epic Man, Memoir Man, Bracken Man, Beach Hut Man and Figment Man). I think real classics would blow the minds of these young reviewers. Smell vintage Bel Ami, Equipage, Antaeus, Guerlain Derby, YSL pour Homme, Charles Jourdan Un Homme, Ungaro pour L'Homne I & II, Monsieur Lanvin, Balenciaga Ho Hang Club, Ténéré, Azzaro Acteur, Arrogance pour Homme.... I could go on and on...Jacques Bogart's One-Man Show, Signature, Witness, Furyo... Caron Yatagan, Dior Jules....All of these fragrances would blow their minds. Guaranteed. And there are more but they'll all be ignored by "young, hip" reviewers who just don't know what they're missing.

My favorite, at no. 1, is Sunshine Man. I was ambivalent when I first sampled it a few years ago, but I now rate it10 out of 10. Other favorites include the polarizing Fate Man, Lyric Man, and Jubilation XXV. So glad you chose to do a video focused on Amouage. "Best Of The House" is an excellent series. Please revisit this house, as it warrants a follow-up video!
Jubilation is my opening to this cool brand, is so mysterious, no so hyped like creed, le labor or that stuff (nothing wrong with that ) but this brand is really exotic to me, I've been spending lots of money on decants that later become full size bottles, they're so unique!
Had a similar experience with Sunshine. Ambivalence followed by great enjoyment a year later. Needs repeated tries.

Jubilation XXV is probably my favourite from Amouage. I have a decant of Overture and like it but it's extremely expensive. I've still to get a decant of Beach Hut Man.
Amouage dominates my collection. Overture is near the top of list. Reminds me of sitting in a cigar bar with a few fingers of a smokey Islay scotch. Our tastes differ a bit but that’s the beauty of different opinions. It would be a boring world if we all smelled the same. Epic is another of my favorites along with Honour for my wife so…. there you have it.

It’s kinda like an ambery fougere, lasts a whole work day in temp controlled environment, isn’t pushing off you, punching people in them nostrils and is just so beautifully done. You’re totally right, Interlude Man does sweeten up considerably as it dries down, and it gets more and more delectable the longer it sits on your skin. Jubilation xxv is my personal favourite though, so opulent and regal!

That's surprising you never tried Amouage hehe. Created by the Sultan of Oman. Known for pushing the envelope with their often polarizing, yet daring creativity, Amouage is the epitome of niche middle-eastern luxury perfumery. Personally, Marley or Tom Ford don't come remotely close to Amouage.

I have jubilation xxv. One of my favorites. I didn’t know it was reformulated. It does wear light on my skin. But I like it. I Never knew it was stronger.

My favorite Amouage in terms of smell is Meander. I knew the minute I smelled it, I had to buy it. My favorite to wear, though, is still Reflection Man. Still enjoy how it projects off of my skin. Great to smell throughout the day.

Great to see Grace rate one of my favorite houses. I haven't smelled honour 43, but of all the others, Reflection is the worst of the ones Grace smelled to my nose. It's good, but also not THAT special. Like it, but wouldn't miss it. Also funny how these fragrances work on paper vs on skin. On my skin, Memoir is actually way closer to Boundless than to Epic. And the normal Honour Man is the true peppery one to me. Never tried them on paper though. Did try Journey on paper and it just falls flat compared to on skin, where it really comes alive. Again, proof that you shouldn't buy these fragrances based just on sampling on paper.
Lyric man is gorgeous, but also not for every man. I've had several people compliment my girl on her delicious rose scent when I was the one wearing it. But if you're confident enough to not care about that and like a good rose, you'll get a great reward. it is a perfect blend of sweet and fresh that also still works quite well in a bit warmer weather. I like it! Works great dressed up a bit, but also great for cosy summer evenings.
While Grace's top 3 might not be mine, still great picks! Beach Hut is amazing stuff that always seems to complement my style. Even when I'm not my absolute best, like last weekend at an unexpected outdoor party, a bit tired after a 9 hour long MTB trail ride, wearing wayyy too casual clothes because I wasn't expecting anything formal for that weekend, it lifts my spirit and helps me leave a positive impression.
Jubilation reformulated is indeed more wearable. Or at least more often wearable. Yes, it's a bit weaker, but it still projects very nicely and now, it's almost a year round universally liked fragrance for me. A bit of a dumb reach as far as Amouage goes. Still very refined and rich smelling when sprayed on skin.
And Boundless... WOW! instant love for me when I got my nose on that one. Too bad it's getting a bit too warm to wear it now, because it's just so lovely. There's almost a soothing quality about it.

I'm with Grace when it comes to Boundless. I'm a woman who leans toward woody, spicy, resinous notes as opposed to sweet floral notes. I practically live in Boundless in the Autumn and Winter months. Amouage's Boundless and Penhaligon's Lothair are two fragrances that both men and women constantly ask about when I am wearing them.

Jubilation XXV sounds absolutely beautiful, I need to get my nose on that one for sure. Another one I'm interested in checking (but that wasn't in this great video) is Myths Man. Apparently it's a very smokey leather, floral, which sounds absolutely gorgeous, at least to me.

I tried 11 samples from Amouage but I couldn't enjoy any of them. I think they have a very oriental/old style. Niche perfumery for sure, but the brand is a pass for me.

Interlude is really overrated in my opinion. i have been arround insence all my life and it dominates with the smell of burning wood. very cheap smell only thing nice about it is the projection

Ik everyone nose is different but I don't see what ppl like about sunshine man & reflection. Sunshine is like blah & reflection is just a weird smell to me it smell like whenever you sneeze to hard lol 🤧... Jubilation 25 is ok but not my style. Only 3 I've smelled & wasn't impressed.

I am really trying to like Amouage, but they are really “niche” extremely polarizing. You either love it or hate it. Some spices they use are really strong, I have sampled sunshine man to many friends, they hate it and from 60 different fragrances they would rate that one 0 or 1 out of 10, interlude man also smells too strong of oregano and some people associate it with mosquito repellent. Jubilation XXV is my favorite from Amouage.

I have JXXV, reflection, and Interlude. J25 and Interlude, I can't stop smelling. I'll take the caps off and just start smelling them... then I wanna hate Interlude, but then fall in love with it again. Not many fragrances have that effect on me. Only other one I wanna hate, but somehow really like is Jaques Bogart. The 15 dollar barber shop scent bomb lol.

Probably Lyric Man would be on the list. I can't really think of any other occasion man could wear this. For me it leans unisex with even more feminine vibe. It to floral, powdery and smooth at he same time. I imagine that this is how men from romanticism era would smell.

I'm glad that Amouage changed creative directors as the line seemed to have stagnated prior to the switch. Not taking away anything from Christopher Chong however it has been a pleasant change of pace with fragrances like Enclave.
However I have a huge complaint with Amouage because the brand pulled to typical fragrance scam which is to reformulated and water down the fragrances then eventually create concentrated versions at a huge premium. While they may not be as guilty as say Kilian, Amouage is certainly guilty of the same premise. Not to mention, the extraits have spurred little interest which for myself makes sense when houses such as Nishane make extraits readily accessible, and even more so with indie brands like Motif Olfactif.

I was scanning through this video looking for my favorite (jubilation 25 (NOT XXV)) and was super shocked that these were all "male marketed" Amouage...!? I have to ask if that's honestly because u simply bought into the marketing or if you honestly prefer these versions over the "female marketed" counterparts?? I'm only asking because I own 7 Amouage fragrances and 6 of them are "for women".. in general I find the ones that have a M and F Release that the girl version is ALMOST ALWAYS superior.... I'm really curious to know your thoughts!

Dusty is a unique word and not often used when it comes to fragrances but inspired and very apt with regard to Sunshine Man. Also, love Bracken. In my top 5. Lot of reordered decants of Amouage but do have a full bottle of Bracken. Lyric Man is really for women. Hard to feel its unisex. Agree re Boundless. Awesome range of mainstream and niche/original vibe. Didn't know Jubilation was reformulated but that explains the tragic performance. Much prefer the original and will hunt for a bottle. You'd be cancelled if you didn't include Interlude. Haha. For sure. Really surprised a nose as developed as yours was put off by it at first. Dig the honesty. Great video.
