I fell in love with you video when I first saw it! I couldn’t WAIT to try this! Soooooo I tried it today…. I love it. I wish I could show it to you! 🥰 Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely amazing magical Elephant, wow, looking forward to trying with orange, hot pink, tourquoise and ivory. Going to be FUN! Thank you so much for sharing such a great tutorial. Elephants empower ME!
I just painted this today, for my mom, who is elephant crazy and collects them. I loved your tutorial so much. I used different colors, mom's favorites are teal, magenta and purples. I skipped the side to side streaking, at the end. I did not think mom would appreciate it, although I loved the effect. I'll give it to her this coming Sunday, Mother's Day, along with other gifts. I hope she loves it as much as I loved creating it. Thank you again. I wish you would do a cool cow, I am obsessed with them!
So you cannot really mix up a neon pink. The painting will still look good though with any color of pink. Preferably you would want to mix a crimson or "bright red" with white. If you mix it with a cadmium red it will be more of a peach/orange pink then a true pink but I am sure that will be beautiful as well! Good luck!
This was really helpful - thank you so much - beautiful painting! I am new at this, can you let me know what a spray or "mister" is being used to keep the painting moist while one is working?
Thank you! Any little spray bottle will work. You can get them at most stores. IF you have any spray hand sanitizer you can fill it with water when it is empty! www.amazon.com/Bottles-Essential-Bottle-Plastic-Sprayer/dp/B07SMX5L69
On no! Sorry that that happened! Maybe a little too much paint, a little too thick. The paint needs to be not too thick and when you brush over it, your stroke needs to be very very light. Let me know if I can help!
So I attempted this for 5hours yesterday and didn’t get the same results😫 I didn’t have the same brush as you so I worked with what I had, my blending on the ears didn’t turn out anything like yours & my paint was drying too fast to do the last finishing touch. But I kept trying I would love to follow your fb or Instagram art account if you have one!
Sorry that you did not get the same results! Do you have a bristle brush at all? Maybe a flat one? You really need a large bristle brush in order to get that look, and a very light brush stroke barely touching the canvas. You can get a set of bristle brushes for very cheap at michaels, hobby lobby, or amazing. Dont give up! I am sure it just needs one more layer with the right brush! :)
Julia Ennis Creations thank you so much for responding ! I did see Michaels had a set for $7.99 so I ordered them this morning I can’t wait to try it again ! I also tried to lay it on thicker than usual because my paint always dries so fast, I’m still learning blending it just seemed your painting was wet the entire time😅 Do you have any tips for that? And do you have an account for your art work ? I would love to follow☺️🙌🏼
@@thirdeyereptiles1772 Awesome! You will definitely get good use out of those brushes. They are also great if you are just trying to paint a background without it being too thick. Also just so you know sometimes when I buy bristle brushes the head of the brush will fall out, just put some super glue in the handle and put it back in and it won't come out again. I would try to painting just one area at a time. Paint just the ears, and then just the trunk etc. and that way you wont feel rushed to get to the areas before they dry. Do you use a little spray bottle or mister to spray your paints and canvas as you are working? That really helps to keep everything workable if your paint tends to dry fast. Happy Painting! 😊

I need work on that paint
Mine looked great until I dragged my brush across the canvas around the the end of the video, everything just meshed :(
